I went to the library of the college I went to because it is the only library in the city that is open, but they are doing construction the floor above, and it is so distracting. I forgot my headphones, my laptop is charging, and it is 46F, so I can’t go outside or ignore the noise.

alright but here’s the real personality quiz: do you wear a fabric mask with some kind of pattern or a plain colored mask, or one of those disposable masks that they use in hospitals?

My ancestors, watching me dump an entire stick of cinnamon, two cloves, an allspice berry, and a generous grating of nutmeg into my tea, sweetened with white sugar and loaded with cream, while I sit in my clean warm house surrounded by books, 25+ outfits for different occasions, and 6 pairs of shoes, in a building heated so well I have the windows open in mid-autumn:

One thing that I loved about college was how easy it was to find a spot to just hunker down and get work done. Now, as an adult with a job and no school, I go home and feel just so burned out from the day that trying to get any extra work done at my house feels impossible half the time. I just want to sleep. But I should stay motivated to study languages and do more than just play games/watching stuff and sleep.

What do you do to not just stay motivated, but to actually get started with studying/being productive?

I was going to use this blog solely for studying French and inspiring myself to creatively write, but I got on the langblr side of tumblr and remembered that my Spanish grammar is wack, and I should probably study that too.
