What really happened..well...let's just say that there was a tiny misunderstanding and the secret admirer was just a normal guy who just wanted to thank Sophie for giving advice. But alas it was too late and the rumors spread like wildfire. Marshal Liu informed Sun Wukong that there might be a possibility that Sophie has a secret admirer according to the rumors around the Flower Fruit Mountain (especially in the palace).

Additionally, I’ve also been concentrating on my own original writing at the moment since I’m finally able to function like a regular human T the moment.

My writing suffered horrifically with the depression that’d set in with my dad going in and out of the hospital, so I’m desperately trying to regain momentum to get back into my usual content. It’s definitely been super difficult, and I apologize for the wait.

I’ve also had a lot of personal decisions to make about looking for relationships and defining myself as a person, so that’s just been there too. I’ve been more comfortable coming out to people around me, so they know I’m asexual (but I think they’re registering it as Bi because I joked about marrying a friend, which tbh is fair and I don’t mind either way). And it’s been received exceptionally.

Hi! Icarus has not been deleted! It has not been updated yet, though I do have chapter 3 in the works right now! At this current time due to the fact that there are web scraping ai’s like Sudowrite that steal information and put them into a databank to generate content, I was forced to put my works under a visibility only available to registered users!

Please note: I did not want to do this. But I work at web scraping in my job for something unrelated to AI—I work with bid content—so I am very familiar with the web scraping process and how it works. All of my works are currently under lock, and registered users to AO3 can read them at their leisure! So you don’t have to worry about surprise NSFW that you’d be able to see.

I apologize for this type of decision making, but with the way at AI scrapers work for writing, I can’t risk my content being stolen and used for whatever prompts. Thanks for stopping by’

Ah! Not annoying at all friend! It’s going to be a hot minute, as I want to complete Iris first—I wasn’t happy seeing the lack of content for NG!WuKong x Reader, and what content there was, I also had disliked. But! It’s not forgotten, it’s still in the workshop, but it will be a bit before I get to it!

So I just got a call from my mom. And we’ve known that my dad hasn’t been doing too well—He’s developed COPD at this point without the need of an oxygen tank. And lately his legs have been swollen.

Mind, this man has a lengthy, massive medical history: high blood pressure, multiple small strokes, has had a heart attack, has had surgery to open his veins, and has currently developed breathing issues. And now he’s developed edema. And also now has open sores.

Like: we knew he most likely has congestive heart failure. But holy shit this is going downhill so much faster than we anticipated.

Content Warning: Small vent / End stages of parent life. I won’t go into too much detail, I just need to yell into the void a little bit:

Right now I feel like I’m steadily sinking into a depression that’s trying to decide if it’s here to stay or mot. My dad, who I don’t have a close relationship with, is declining in health. And it’s… It’s rough. And it isn’t just the decline in his health that is awful, but how it affects my siblings and my mom who have to directly handle it.

And right now it’s just making me sink. The depression is crawling back, the anxiety is amping up, and I should’ve realized it the other day when my heart was racing for no reason, but it’s not like I can do anything about it now. It just feels like I want to cry and curl up and make everything stop for a minute so I can catch my breath. But it’s not feasible.

I should’ve realized it when I started struggling with keeping up with writing—and I’m still struggling to focus on it—and I… I’m just. I feel so small right now. And I don’t really know what to do. And there’s just this ache in my chest that I don’t know what to do with. This all sucks. I hate it.

I might delete this later. I just need to father my thoughts and I feel like I don’t have the tools to do so rn.
