Seojun had met the girl in passing a few times, more like acquaintances. Though he had a soft spot for mothers, as it reminded him a lot of home. Smiling at the female, he nodded his head in acknowledgement. “I am having something sent to the hospital for you and the baby, as I know being a new mom can sometimes be stressful. I got the baby something of course, yet I also sent something for you to help you unwind.”

Eden didn’t know Seojun all that much, but she thought it was sweet that he was calling to check in on her. But then again, her phone had been blowing up since it was announced that she had been rushed to the hospital.  “You didn’t have to get us anything,” She told him. The truth was, i twas hard when people brought her things as right now her baby was in the NICU and she wanted to be sure her baby was okay.

“Oh girl, don’t even worry about it,” Stella shakes her head as she talked to the other girl through the video screen. While she didn’t know Eden that well, she wanted to check up on her. I mean, she did just have a baby after all. The blonde would probably have no children of her own, but it made her happy when others had their own little happy, functioning families. “Have you been good though?”

Eden’s labor wasn’t easy. She had every intention on a natural labor, but that wasn’t what happened. She had been rushed into an emergency c-section. “I’m trying to be good. I haven’t been feeling all that great.” She admitted. Her mind was focused on her small baby though, not so much on herself. Even if she hadn’t been feeling great.

Jules sat on her couch after a long day of work and classes. She checked the time, and figured it’d be an okay time to call Eden. She had visited her a couple of times, but didn’t want to bother her too much. She knew she was probably flooded with phone calls and visitors, and that she probably didn’t want to entertain her cousin and best friend too much. “Please.” She sipped on her tea. “Your phone is probably blowing up. I can’t blame you. How are you? And my baby cousin?” She asked, a bright smile on her face even though she was a little worried for them. 

Jules was one of the few people who she had let come to visit at the hospital. She was one of her best friends, and her cousin. She wasn’t up for many visitors, she didn’t want people to see her in this state, but she was sure Jules had seen her just as bad states throughout her life. “I’ve been tempted to just turn it off. People won’t leave me alone.” She told her, “Not you of course though. You can call whenever.” Eden adjusted herself in her bed, “I’m feeling a bit better. I’m still exhausted. She’s doing okay, they told us there isn’t much we can really do right now. I’m just always worried about her.”

This week hadn’t gone exactly the way the brunette planned. She surely wasn’t expecting to have a baby this week, yet here she was a new mother laying in her hospital bed. She had let in very few visitors to see her and the small baby. But her phone had been going off like crazy, she had been ignoring it for the most part but this time she decided to answer. “Hey, sorry I’ve been ignoring your calls. Life has been a little crazy.” She said into the phone.

Being nearly eight months pregnant and in school, the brunette rarely had time for friends which wasn’t great for her mental health. When Coy invited her out for coffee, she decided it’d be the best to get out of the house. She met up with him, ordering herself a smoothie instead of a coffee, and then waited in a booth for him to join her. “Trust me, most of my mornings are rough.” She said, looking over his face. “But I gotta admit, you look like shit. Looks like you might have had a rough morning.”

it felt good to be out and about kingsboro again, and cody was glad to be home, because kingsboro felt more like home than california did. here he had friends, relationships that mattered, roots that he never really had managed to put down back in hollywood. plus there was just something about the streets of new york made him come alive again, even if he was a little hungover on this day. he headed into the city, ordering his coffee and sliding into the booth across from his coffee “date” with a grin, “rough morning?” he teased, when it was clear by the red puffy eyes he wore on his won face and the mess of his hair that he was the one who’d had a rough morning.

Eden’s mind was elsewhere, it seemed like it always was these days. She was nearing her due date, and would be a mother in just a short time, but she was still trying to balance school and work ontop of that. It wasn’t easy, but that meant her face was stuffed in her phone as she tried to schedule her next appointment. She bumped into someone, raising an eyebrow when he apologized. she thought it had been her fault. “I was distracted too.” She told him, “But, uh -- yeah a smoothie sounds great actually.”

He was rarely clumsy. Okay, perhaps that was a bit of a lie since he sometimes tripped over his own feet when he was in a rush. Or when he had something on his mind. Or when he was on his phone checking an email. As per usual, it was the latter’s fault as he bumped into someone, even as Nathaniel constantly told himself to not multitask while walking home. “I’m so sorry.” He apologized, repeating the words a couple of times as he made sure the person he’d bumped into was okay. “I, uh…” he trailed off, sliding his phone on the front pocket of his khakis, “– was distracted.” Nathaniel cleared his throat, deciding against apologizing again. “There’s a shop nearby if you want a smoothie or coffee or… anything.”

zara would never understand how, in a city as large as new york, she could somehow continue running into the same person she was trying to avoid. she’s almost positive she’s safe now though, he hadn’t spotted her so all was well. as soon as she noticed the others stomach, zara took a step back not wanting to crowd her too much. “no i guess you’re not,” she said as she chuckled. “but you’ve got to be getting something here. either way it’s on me.”

Eden couldn’t wait to dig into the plate of cheesy goodness, she felt like she was waiting for her order far longer than she needed to be, so a distraction was good for the brunette. “Well, thanks.” She said turning to look at the girl. “Have you ever had the nachos at this place? Because their killer.”

Ever since getting pregnant, Eden didn’t go out often. As someone who was usually found at the clubs, it was hard for the brunette to stay away. She called ahead of time to order a platter of nachos, this bar had the best nachos in town. Sure, the future mother wasn’t going to stay for a drink or any partying, but she wasn’t against picking up some food at the place. Though other people were as she had eyeballs on her stomach as she mad her way to the bar to pick up her drink. It wasn’t long before someone squeezed up between her. “It’s okay. But, I’m not drinking.”

a good time was being had by all on this, not so infrequent, night out. the brit enjoyed letting loose after a long week. zara was already quite a few drinks in and on her way back from the ladies room, she spots someone that she was clearly hoping to avoid who seemed to be walking right in her direction. turning quickly on her heel, the femme slips in between two people at the bar, so that her back would be turned to said person who would in turn hopefully just walk on by being none the wiser. glancing at the person to her right, she offers an apologetic grin, “sorry to be invading your space. consider this a quick avoidance tactic. next round is on me, though. because you’re a life saver.”

“Or if you really wanted an accent wall, but the purple does look good,” he smiled softy as he grabbed some white samples and tried to figure out what would look good with what was going on the wall as well as the pictures. Mason wasn’t the greatest at the whole matching thing, but he was trying as hard as he could to make his daughters room look nice. He wanted everything in there to match.  All the pictures he bought from amazon and etsy were really nice and he wanted to do justice to them. “What’s the theme?”

“I’m not really sure what I want for a theme.” She said honestly. She was sure Mason already had  his room for their daughter all planned out. She raised an eyebrow looking over to him. “Well? What are you thinking for her room at your place?” She asked softly.

“I agree.” Parker said with a shake of her head. ”It’s such a shame because people can really just decide to not be an asshole.” She laughed. “Oh wow, they work you pretty late, huh?” She asked, her head tilting. “Hey, I know it’s none of my business but are you walking far? If you’re up for it could walk you home? I know you don’t know me well but I just thought I’d offer.” Parker said. She hated the thought of this pregnant woman walking home in the dark.

“True. Honestly? I’ve been an asshole in the past, turns out you get further in life when you’re not an asshole.” She mentioned. “I mean, sometimes. I’m the assistant manager there, so when things go wrong, I tend to stick around. I don’t want to leave the rest of the staff hanging.” She told the other. She loved working at Destino’s, but sometimes it was a bit on the stressful side. “Oh -- uh yeah. I’m not going all too far if you want to walk with me.”

“Oh– a nursery! This is exciting.” A warm smile fits across her lips as she clasps her hand together in excitement. Jess didn’t have any kids, nor any experience putting together a nursery herself, but she’s sure it would be a piece of cake once the color scheme was put together. She loves this type of stuff. “Mm.. in that case, you might want to go a shade up. Or you could go for something more pastel-y.” She glanced back at the various color board and when she spots the lavender-y shade she’s thinking of she snags one of the sample papers and shows her. “An important tip for purple shades is to go at least one shade lighter than your original choice. It’ll appear darker once on the wall.”

Eden wasn’t sure she’d ever get used to the idea of creating a nursery for her future child. There was something bizarre about her becoming a parent, she was sure she wouldn’t get used to it until the baby was born. “Maybe a pastel purple would be the right way to go.” Eden agreed, setting down the darker swatches and reaching for pastely purple ones. “Really? Darker on the wall? I would have never guessed that.”

Tee felt like he could have cried with relief over having Eden join him for dinner instead. It meant not having to come up with excuses of why he was leaving after twenty minutes of not ordering anything and maybe no one would have to know about him getting stood up on his blind date. The walls in Kingsboro had both eyes and ears but he knew he could trust Eden not to tell anyone about this. “That would be great, thank you”, he said, the gesture meaning a lot to him. “And trust me, Ronnie is going to get a piece of my mind once I get out of here. No more blind dates for me”, he said, even though Tee knew he would probably end up giving in if Ronnie asked again.

“This is why I never agree to blind dates.” Eden said honesty, asking a nearby server to grab her a water. She smiled over at Tee, “Though, people who don’t show up for their blind dates truly don’t know what their missing out on.” She said. Eden ran her fingers through her dark hair, “You know, if you give Ron your piece of mind, shes going to try and set you up again. It is just like her to do that.” Eden said about her best friedn.

“No problem, people who don’t take others into consideration are dicks.” Parker shrugged as the zipped up her leather jacket. “Destino’s?” She asked, tilting her head. “Oh, yeah! You guys have amazing pizza.” She said with a nod. “That’s just right around the corner, right? Were you walking from there?” She asked. Parker was one of those people who always looked out for others, and this time it seemed that the pregnant woman was walking alone while it was dark out. 

“Most people are dicks,” Eden corrected the other. People didn’t usually care about anyone but themselves, there was a time in Eden’s own life that she had been there. “you can say that again. I love Destino’s pizza and I take one home more often that I should.” She saidd with a laugh. “Yeah, I just got out of my shift.” She stayed later than anticipated, but that was what happened when a problem arised and you were the manager. That meant she got to walk home in the dark.

“i’m not saying i tried to swing from the chandelier or anything but… when a bitch is high enough and really feeling herself? there’s not telling what might happen,” ronnie smiled playfully, sticking her tongue out. it had been awhile since ronnie had some one on one time with her best friend, and she sorely missed it. she knew that eden was busy, there was a lot going on in her life right now, but she was glad that they had finally found the time to get together again. “tell me,” ronnie said, plopping down on the bed. “what’s new with you? i’ve missed you like crazy, bitch.” 

“You know, sometimes I question why we’re friends and then you say shit like that and I remember exactly why.” Eden said, letting out a laugh. It had been far too long since the brunette hung out with her blonde friend. Maybe it hadn’t been all that long, but they had been living together previously, so to go from that to not seeing her every day was rough. “Girl, I’ve missed you too.” She told her. “I’m moving out of Aaron’s place soon, and I found out the gender of the baby. Tell me, whats new with you?”

“School has been crazy and my dad has a couple of people who might be heading to the super bowl so he has been traveling and showing me how to get the best contract, which again not doing,” she smiled as she down at Eden’s stomach. “How are you feeling? How is the baby doing?” Alexis was happy for the girl. It may have not been the ideal situation for all this, but it was still exciting to see this. “I do like the light one. What are you doing for the room?”

“I feel that. School has really been kicking my ass this semester.” Eden mentioned, but then again the brunette was pregnant and in med school. Something she wasn’t ever expecting to happen. Eden shrugged, “The baby is good. We just had an ultrasound not too long ago. We found out it’s a girl, but they said the baby is healthy.” She told her. “I’m not too sure what I’m going with for the room, but I just like purple.”

Mason dreaded going out right now and it was right before work which made it worse, but he told himself he was going to start moving on this room now. He was going to do it over the weekend, but then super wild card weekend and then divisional games were on and it was just hard to leave such great games, even if his bears lost the week before. The boy had a whole idea planned for the room and he was hoping they had what he needed. Mason stood there looking at the whites and pinks for how marie could be painted on the wall nicely and made sure it matched. He wanted this to be prefect since she was going to be his only daughter and probably only child honestly. He turned around quickly and looked at the paint colors. Not even noticing who he was talking to. “You could do a way to use both, but the right looks nice.”

Mason was the last person she planned on bumping into at the hardware store. Nor was she really all too interested in his opinion on how she should decorate the babies room in her apartment. He had his own apartment and he’d be decorating the room there for their daughter. She looked down at the two swatches in her hand again, even though they were both purple she wasn’t sure that they complimented each other all too well. “Yeah, I guess I could. But, I feel like this purple is too bright to go with that shade.”
