Music is mortal law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything. Submit

jaiden-lascher:
Jaiden blinked, slowly, as he rambled on about his jeans. He nodded and offered up an attempt at a smile. “ Most of my jeans look exactly alike. They’re…black.” He shrugged. “It’s fine. What kind of coffee, Romeo? I’m Jaiden. Art T.A. Do you do music or just study it?”
The twitch of the other males lips drew Romeo’s attention to his mouth. “Mm, I have pretty much... every colour. I enjoy clothes, man,” he responded with a sheepish smile curving his lips and cut a glance to the half empty paper cup in his hand, shrugging his shoulders lightly with his words. “Regular, please. And music is my life, to be honest. I love to teach it.”

jaiden-lascher:
“Yup.” He answered, not feeling the need to elaborate. “Doesn’t that get annoying as fuck, though? Always carrying around extra clothes, just in case you fuck up?” He crossed his arms over his chest and stepped towards the counter. “I’ll have a white flat.” He ordered and turned to the unnamed T.A. . “Want a new coffee?” He offered, finding the other tolerable.
“Yeah, hella... especially when they’re my good jeans. I never seem to fuck up the ones that spend most of their lives in the back of my closet.” Lips parting in a soft exhale, Romeo rolled his eyes and turned towards the stranger, figuring his ramblings were the last thing the man needed. He seemed kind though, something Romeo rarely encountered in another human being unless they were looking to gain. “Thanks... I appreciate that. I’m Romeo, by the way... music.”

jaiden-lascher:
Jaiden let his eyes scan over the other man. He looked older than most of the students. “Are you a T.A?” He questioned. He hadn’t seen too many young people wandering around, unless they were associated with the school. “I hope you’ve got a change of clothes.” He nodded to the stain that covered his jeans.
The question gave Romeo pause for thought and his eyes narrowed as they took in the other male, his gaze drifting the length of the strangers body then settling back on his own. “I am... are you?” He asked, a hint of hesitance in his voice. “I carry spares all the time. I’m rather uh... clumsy, truth be told.”

jaiden-lascher:
Jaiden leaned against the counter, chuckling as he watched the other spill his coffee. He seemed to find humor in other’s misfortune. “You know, the point of coffee is to drink it, right?” He smirked and pushed himself off of the counter.
A mirthless chuckle left Romeo’s lips in light of the others comment. “You’re a funny guy...” he muttered sarcastically, although his lips did twitch into a semi-amused smile whilst their gazes connected. “I was rushing too much.”

The warm splash of coffee across the back of his hand that quickly trickled downward and soaked into the denim of his jeans had Romeo faltering in his steps with an aggravated sigh. He always did this, the clumsiest man alive with a need for two changes of clothing packed with him on the daily. “God damn...” he muttered through gritted teeth, his jaw clenched so tightly, the muscles twitched with the effort. He could already tell that it was going to be a terrible day and the clock hadn't even chimed past nine in the morning yet.

What’s up?! I’m Boo or Bae, whichever one you wish to call me. I learned of this role-play through a friend of mine and figured I’d better introduce myself and the cute little shit I am going to be portraying! So, here goes.
Romeo Liang is a twenty-one year old teaching assistant (music), having applied for the position after hearing through the grapevine that his first love worked at the school. Whether they do or not, has yet to be seen.
Romeo was born and raised in Hong Kong, China but later moved with his tight-knit family to America when he was ten years old. He quickly learned the language, (among other languages) and settled easily into life in the U.S. He started playing basketball for his school and his love of the sport, continues to this day.
He met his best friend not long after arriving in America. The pair are inseperable and share pretty much every part of their lives with one another. There are no secrets between them and this person is the only one that Romeo really opens his heart up to. He trusts them and would walk through fire to defend them too. In a sense, they are very much another sibling for him, only this one knows everything about him, unlike his real brother.
At fifteen, Romeo met a boy he fell hard and fast for, an unexpected occurrence since he previously never thought of himself as gay. It didn’t matter with them, however, he just had to be with him. Their relationship was perfect to Romeo and lasted for two years. His lover left town with his family, but due to issues going on in Romeo’s life, their relationship had started to fall apart anyway with how little they were able to spend time together. This boy though, was his entire world.
When he was sixteen, his father died in a car accident, leaving the teenager devastated and broken. Instead of falling apart though, he started working nights and weekends after school to help with his families financial situation, since his father was the breadwinner. His older brother did the same, helping raise the cash needed to pay the mortgage each month while their mother recovered from her loss.
After a while, Romeo’s mother slipped into alcoholism to help her cope and although he tried to help her through it all, she was too far gone. Drinking every hour of the day and forgetting important dates, memories and facts. When Romeo was eighteen, she left the family home and moved back to China to be with her parents and get some help. Or so she promised. The brothers have never heard from her since and live in their family home together, now the mortgage is closer to being paid.
Besides his brother and best friend, Romeo feels very alone much of the time and never opens up about his past to strangers. He struggles with forming lasting bonds since he has trust issues, but pretends everything is okay, even when he feels like his life is falling apart. His personality is that of a puppy dog; kind, gentle and very loyal when he meets people he feels a connection with. However, should someone hurt a person that Romeo cares deeply for, he won’t hesitate to bite. Romeo is incredibly talkative and rarely holds his tongue, often upsetting people with his thoughtless responses, but he usually means no harm or offence. He can be very misunderstood.
I’ll add a bio eventually and more about Romeo’s life, but for now, this is the gist! If you’d like to plot or take any of the above mentioned connections, hmu and we will work something out ^^ Thank you guys so much for reading this, I appreciate it greatly!
