How does your character view the idea of romantic love?

Love is all about finding a hot chick that also indulges in his gambling addiction and vices. She should also find his dancing awesome

2. What was your character's first heartbreak, and how did it influence their approach to relationships?

He probably had a teenage crush that broke up with him cause Samar is insufferable. He's convinced that if he becomes filthy rich then that would nullify any of his negative traits

3. Does your character believe in soulmates, and why or why not?

Due to his gambling addiction, Samar strongly believes in luck guiding his life. Luck is very fickle giving him more problems than blessings, but it's too late to quit. After all good luck is definitely gonna come after losing a bazillion times. Thus soulmates are real. Life is full of chances and coincidences, so Samar rolls with whatever life drops him

4. What traits does your character find most attractive in others?

He cares a lot about looks. The chicks have gotta be hot with massive chests whilst having a spicy personality. Having very nice fangs is must too since it is an important beauty standard among vampires. Samar has some homo tendencies so he likes handsome guys, albeit he very very strongly prefers girls

5. What does your character fear most in a relationship?

He's scared of the girl breaking up with him cause he failed to become filthy rich during their time together. If she had just waited a couple more days, the gambling would have paid off and they'd live comfortably for eternity

6. How does your character handle jealousy or insecurity in relationships?

Samar would try to start verbal fights to outwit the peon who dared to upstage him. Of course Samar always gets owned. If things escalated and a brawl broke out, Samar is definitely gonna get his bones broken

7. What past relationship still impacts your character's current life?

He attempted to start a relationship with vampire femme fatale Theda Thorne. Unfortunately another vampire was interested in her and proceeded to pummel Samar. Since then Samar has been constantly bullied by Lee Harlow. It doesn't help that Samar owes him a ton of money

8. How does your character show love and affection?

Gambling is life. Naturally taking his loved ones to the casino is a fun bonding activity. Another way to show affection is by going out on fancy dinners and dancing

9. What significant change has your character experienced in their understanding of love?

He kinda learns that there's more to life than gambling and casually throwing himself into danger after meeting his soulmate Peony. Samar is still a massive thrillseeking jackass, so Peony tugs him by the ear to make him not foolishly die

10. What sacrifices has your character made for love, and were they worth it?

His body is literally sacrificed to nourish Peony. It's worth it because she is very very affectionate, and becoming constantly tired from her feeding means less energy to gamble

11. How does your character's cultural or familial background influence their views on marriage and relationships?

Samar actually used to be human. He hated his family for constantly nagging him and treating him like a loser. Gaining a long vampiric lifespan means that he outlived them, which is an epic win in his book. The lack of family means he can do whatever he wants and fail as many times too. Love is all about the thrills, passions, energy, and getting laid

12. Does your character have a relationship that everyone else misunderstands?

People find it strange that he has a female friend, fellow vampire coworker Karuna. So it's easy to assume she hangs out with him out of pity, but they are actually friends. No one understands how he and Moriti are friends cause they are at each other's throats a lot

13. How does your character handle rejection or unrequited love?

He'll gamble his sadness away whenever he gets rejected or broken up with. Maybe even create a dance routine to express his sorrow, or improve his mating ritual dances to better attract girls

14. What lesson about love is your character still trying to learn?

That there is more to life than money and thrills. Love is all about pausing and relaxing

15. How has your character's professional life affected their romantic relationships?

Samar works as a getaway driver for a gang. He tried dating girls from rival gangs, so naturally those attempts would never work out due to their allegiances. Dating civilians means dragging them into the crossfires of gang warfare

How does your character view the idea of romantic love?

Nadir is super idealistic, strongly believes in true love and destiny. Love is for everybody from all walks of life, so it's not impossible to obtain. He loves love

Nadir never dated anybody because growing up at a human orphanage and city, people avoided him for being a vampire. I guess the closest thing to heartbreak is people's refusal to get close to him during his childhood. This influenced him to be a romantic yearner that wants to prove himself as a good person

3. Does your character believe in soulmates, and why or why not?

He absolutely believes in soulmates. As a kid, he first met Marina at a park while doing part time work shoveling snow. Despite being a stranger, she was the first peer around his age to be nice to him who also empathized with being misunderstood. He never stopped thinking about her and wants to find Marina again when they're adults

Nadir likes being around nice people, the inside is more important than outwardly looks. Since he grew up surrounded by mean people, he is attentive to decorum. Though he does have a personal preference for fae finding their culture and looks fascinating, which is considered very weird among vampires

Admittedly it's crazy he is banking so much on Marina, but Nadir believes so strongly in destiny that he will work hard to make it flourish when they meet again. The one fear holding him back is that Marina changed too much or is too scared to give things a try, that it's too late to help her. Fear that he is not doing enough

6. How does your character handle jealousy or insecurity in relationships?

Nadir is not a jealous type

7. What past relationship still impacts your character's current life?

Not applicable since he never dated

8. How does your character show love and affection?

He shows affection through cooking delicious food and playing the lyre

9. What significant change has your character experienced in their understanding of love?

Although he grew up at an orphanage, he did have a father figure, Oscar Van Docil who was a dishonored fae lord exiled by his clan. Albeit the paperwork was never properly filled out to be adopted by him. Oscar taught him how to play lyre, read, write, cook, etc. He showed Nadir how ungrateful and cruel the world can be despite his loyalty to his clan. Nadir learned that to fight against that, he must become a gentleman that spreads love and smiles

10. What sacrifices has your character made for love, and were they worth it?

Well before reuniting Marina, Nadir took down underground vampire gangs that wanted to envelop the surface world in permanent darkness. Certainly worth it

11. How does your character's cultural or familial background influence their views on marriage and relationships?

Nadir is half-human/half-vampire, strongly takes after his vampire mother. Albeit his birth parents died when he was young so he was never familiar with his vampiric heritage. Though vampires are solitary people that mostly see love as just a tool. (This doesn't apply to his parents of course.) He grew up in a human environment and witnessed many weddings at the park he shoveled. So he has a romantic view of weddings being beautiful and full of fun festivities

12. Does your character have a relationship that everyone else misunderstands?

People think his relationship with Oscar was out of pity since he was a pathetic old man that lost his rank. Nadir did look up to him as a mentor. A funny contrast is that on the surface world, people ignored Nadir, but once he goes underground to be among vampires, a ton of people find him so irresistible. Yet he is completely oblivious to their advances since he is so hyperfixated on Marina. His fellow vampires think he is a lovesick fool chasing an illusion

13. How does your character handle rejection or unrequited love?

Luckily for Nadir, destiny is on his side. If anything he is the one that provides unconditional love

14. What lesson about love is your character still trying to learn?

Learning about patience and that he even if he gives his 1000% in a relationship, the other party (ie Marina) may struggle to keep up with his pace. She has gotta sort out her own personal problems, which Nadir can't help with every single one of them. He's gotta chill while still being present as a support

15. How has your character's professional life affected their romantic relationships?

I see him having enough maturity to balance his work and love life well. He wants to make the world a better place for people with bad childhoods like him. Having a good relationship means he can be a role model to others. By making the world better, he can enjoy more of life with his loved ones

Liza sounds nice. Nereida was suggested by @mitspeiler when I couldn't think of one. As a mermaid, nereid fits the aquatic theme.

Early 20s

I can't think of one. It's a work in progress. So far Liza has only dated Marina. She finds Marina attractive and sees her beyond being a crazy bitch. Unfortunately Liza had a bit of an "I can fix her" moment. For now she is in love with her princess duty.

Sea chicken, shark, and calamari

Up and coming crown princess, which means helping merfolk and maintaining a good relationship with them

Swordfighting, motorbike joyrides, opera, and various competitive underwater sports

She is good at swordfighting, singing, and being a group leader

She loves watching competitive professional sports, such as fencing, jousting, swimming, and wrestling. Liza is a bit of a fitness nut that enjoys training. As princess, she enjoys helping others. She hates when problems go out of control when doing princess duties or dealing with people that hate her guts when trying to help them

She did not enjoy taking down Marina and stabbing her eye out. It had to be done since she was out of control with evil, dangerous blood magic.

No. Liza used to look vastly different as a blonde white woman with long hair. Her main color palette was originally green/brown instead of white/gold

She is based on Lucina from Fire Emblem for being a very dutiful princess that wields a legendary sword and is very close to her dad. Very hopeful and believes in change being possible no matter what. Also inspired by Sapphire from Princess Knight as a tomboyish swordfighter.

High fantasy with gothic post-apocalyptic stuff. Her story is a grand sailing adventure.

Liza and her parents are very close. Her dad is her biggest role model.

I like her design, her relationship with her family, and personal struggles. She deals with a lot of self inflicted problems assuming she has to do things alone and must be perfect.

She's a very important main character. I don't think about her every single day because her solo story still needs a lot of work, and I've been drawing a blank. I draw and write when ideas start cooking.

Scared of not living up to the Nereida royal name. She is burdened by her great-grandma's war crimes and works very hard to fix the family reputation among the merfolk populace.

✨- How did you come up with the OC’s name?

I randomly thought of it, and Marina stuck since then. In universe, she is named after the marina where her parents first met. Her nickname is Chrysanthemum, which is her favorite flower. Her childhood friend group is a nod to the Chinese Four Gentleman, which is comprised of the chrysanthemum, orchid, bamboo, and plum.

She has been betrothed to Seric Von Plum ever since she was a child. He is the son of her dad's best friend. Unfortunately Marina hates his guts and instead dates and flirts with other people as an act of rebellion. Her logic is if she finds someone richer than Seric, then her parents will call off the engagement. Her crushes are superficial, mostly liking people for their looks and status. She managed to date Liza, but the relationship fell apart because Marina is too crazy and annoying. Despite everything, Nadir is her one true love who is a nice regular commoner.

Chocolate coated flower petals and red velvet desserts

Noblewoman as determined by her family's legacy. Pirate when she became crazy. Mercenary during her runaway arc.

Bossing people around, eating sweets, being hot, shooting, fencing, and joyrides

She loves joyrides from sailing, flying, and driving. She hates being bossed around by people or forced to hang out with annoying people.

The day she first met Nadir as a child and when she first met Liza at school

When Liza defeated her in battle thus making her become tainted. When she couldn't convince her parents to undo the engagement with Seric

It's the final design for her tainted arc. She has gone through many design changes. Funnily enough my brain defaults to her with the short gray hair even though the look is temporary. I guess I haven't designed her post-redemption or post-timeskip. There are still many designs to do.

She has an inspiration chart with lots of mean bitchy girls. Special shout out to Tinker Bell, Azula, Princess Morbucks, and Panty Anarchy. There are also some retroactive inspirations that were unintentional. She is similar to Mitsuru Kirijo from Persona3, except no niceness.

They never foresaw her making a pact and becoming evil. Marina is a daddy's girl that pretends to hate her mom but secretly does love her.

She's really fun to meme and has interesting dynamics with many of my OCs as the crazy one contrasting with the straightman. I also like her design a lot.

Just like Ruby I think about and meme her every day. Writing and drawing happen when inspiration strikes.

No. Nadir will not allow that.

Failure and that she's completely irredeemable. She's doubles down on being annoying because no one gives her a chance to change, see her for who she really is, or understand her actual needs.

Theda Thorne for trying to seduce Nadir. Derrick for being Liza's younger brother. Moriti for not putting up with her bullshit. War for betraying her. Elmindreda Endymion for absolutely no reason. Skurret just for being ugly. She beefs with a lot of people.

✨- How did you come up with the OC’s name?

I didn't come up with it. Friend thought of it because she is a redhead, so I rolled with it. I expanded her name by making Ruby short for Rubelle. It sounds nice, but unfortunately sounds like rubella, which kinda ties to her sickly constitution. Ronove is alliterative and a reference to the demon who reaps the souls of people near death. Ruby often feels like she's near death due to her ilnesses.

Ruby's antics span her life. About 10 during her childhood days, 16 during her teen story, and early 20s when she runs away from home to join a circus.

Yes, Fenetre a fox boy from the circus. He convinced her to leave home so she can travel the world.
