As you may know, if you have read my last newsletter, my husband and I are expecting our very first child. Which is why everything is going a bit differently as planned this year. And since I'm currently spending the majority of my time getting our apartment decluttered & organized so we have more space for the little one as well as get it baby proof. I decided to finally tackle another corner of my blog I wanted to start to fill with content back when I initially started Wundertastisch in 2016 but never got around to it.⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ #livingwithless and #getting organized⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ According to my doc, I'm allowed to work until Jul, 18th which I now set as my deadline to get our place all neat and tidy. I want everything we own to have a home, so we can find it easily. As well as keep the floors clear (currently they are part storage solution, so sad).⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ Having said that I just published a blog post where I talk about overcoming our own limitations in regard to goal setting and follow through. Do you know the feeling of total overwhelm? The past couple of weeks I wrote a lot about burnout. Not because it’s my favorite topic to talk about. But because it has taken over part of my life. At least twice a year I reach a point of ‘no more’. No more work. No more plans. No more new information. I just feel totally fatigued as soon as I try to concentrate on one thing for more than five minutes. Soon after I curl up to into a ball for three weeks at a time. Just watching Netflix, reading books and when I can muster the strength going for long walks. Not because I'm depressed, but because I'm absolutely exhausted. I want to do something, but I just can't. My batteries are empty. Again I’m saying no more. But not to working and creating. To burnout itself. I have had it one time too often. I’m not willing to go there once more. So since all warning lights are on and flashing once more, I’m taking a step back. I’m currently only working for one to two hours at a time and then taking a break for at least another hour. I’m going outside and just stroll around Berlin for hours at a time. I’m listening to what my body tells me and take it slow. Because while I love creating wonderful products for you guys, I love being healthy and happy even more. And I want you to love yourself more too. If you don’t take care of yourself now, when will you do so? If you are like, I can’t take a break, I have a huge deadline coming up. I feel you, but still: Take it slow! I’m not saying stop work altogether. I’m saying take care of yourself. I’m still working. I’m still creating. I’m still focusing on my Journaltastisch Planner 2019 launch next Tuesday. And I will make sure it will be an amazing product. But I can do this and still take care of my health.
