Honestly, the one I remember most is someone's recent art of their AU where they made Onslaught and the other Combaticons abusive to Swindle. I despise that idea deeply, and have been annoyed whenever I see that AU since.

I haven't even watched TFA but I watched TFA's "Constructicon" scenes and I HATE them LOL. I hate the "dumb construction worker" stereotype and I also. Hate. HATE. The general TFA design, and that absolutely goes for "Scrapper" and "Mixmaster". I'm a staunch purist when it comes to the Constructicons lol. I only like them based off G1 in that it is the six of the originals and no one else. That they're brilliant and motivated by a desire to build but also evil.

I'm sorry if this isn't what you expected, I'm just. Ughh. TFA is kind of on sight for me with some of the crap it did (don't get me started on the show runner's hatred for Beachcomber!!!!!) and I do not ever have any desire to watch it.

if many of the Cons are starting to defect, or stop fighting, I'm very curious how the three combiner teams of the Cons are handling it. Especially the Stunticons being handbuilt by Megs, do they have some kind of complex over him dying and coming back (especially for Motormaster)? Were the Combaticons loyalty coded in here as well or are they free agents. And what is keeping the Constructicons with the Cons?

And just to answer the question about the Combaticons, I’m gonna say they werent like completely reformatted like they were in the cartoon but they were installed with some kind of “kill switch” to incentivise them to behave. I also imagine due to the way they were made into a combiner team, they can be forced to combine and Bruticus is probably somewhat loyalty coded.

The Constructicons are still with the Cons cuz they’re good hard working union men. Jk, It’s mainly Scrapper’s idea, they’re loyal to Scrapper and Scrapper’s loyal to Megs.

The Constructicons. Too many people think they're dumb brute construction workers who fanboy for Prowl because they see that in IDW and are too lazy to look at the first part of the Constructicons' individual tfwiki pages.

Skybound. Blegh. All it is is action sequence after action sequence with no characterization. And no, the "deer scene" doesn't count. It happened in maybe the first book and it's all people talk about because there's been no other characterization or character development in it. Also the stans for it who say its amazing or refuse to understand why people criticize it are exhausting.
