Federation Mobile Suits are either named The Supreme Gundam and it's literally the coolest thing you've ever seen, or they're named the Jorts and it looks like a chibi version of the first thing.

The Supreme Gundam is an incredibly expensive impractical one-off design dead-end that gets stolen by a psychic child; while the Jorts single-handedly wins the next five wars.

It really is incredible the dissonance between the two flavors of Char Aznable that exist in people's minds. On one hand the cool red pilot guy who is sick with it and kills people and is a cool devious schemer that's gonna fucking get you and get a cool fucking headshot as exemplified by Origin and the OYW sections of GQuuuuuuuuX.

On the other the ball of repression and crushing expectations that barely knows how to be a person and pilots a mobile suit because she's good at it, it's familiar, and is one of the only places she can feel like her own person with agency as exemplified by CCA Char. And how both of these conceptions of Char fucking love Quattro for two entirely different reasons, and how you can get a pretty good read on how someone's gonna feel about CCA based on how they conceptualize of Quattro and if they can grasp that second Char in there. And it's not as if one of these is wrong and the other real, there's merit to both and the first is largely observing 0079 Char as the cool ace pilot guy and the facade present therein, it's just a matter of if they recognize that the other Char is also there

lalah told me white gundams keep killing chars so i asked how many chars there are and she said she just creates a parallel universe with a new char afterwards so i said it sounds like she's just feeding chars to white gundams and then she started crying

I can't decide whether Gundam GQuuuuuuX was pure UC junk food or a brilliant metacommentary on the UC timeline and its place in the Gundam franchise as a whole. Probably in-between.

Nyaan telling Shuji to leave his gundam behind was SO traumatic for him to envision that it triggered a level of stress comparable to PUSHING BACK A METEOR and triggered a zeknova. This is my new agenda.

Wow that was some crazy pacing. Beautiful animation, love the classic sound effects (one got a gasp out of me, you can probably guess)
