Comfort Me: I’ll write a drabble about my character comforting yours, or vice versa
Drink Me: I’ll write a drabble about my character taking shots with yours
Looking for some comfort among the countless shot-glasses that he served daily at his club was common for him or at least it had been for quite a few days now. He lost count actually, but maybe a week went by; maybe less. Time seemed to have acquired a different meaning and even if he was not a man to ever admit to be in pain, his friend could spot it miles away.
The shaman downed the fifth shot, head thrown back, feeling the hard liquor slide down his throat and burning it. It actually didn’t hurt anymore, no, by now he was just so numb that nothing he would do was enough to make the pain go away, but nothing was strong to make it worse either. Junsu was a masochist, that much he knew, he craved for a pain worse than the first to try and surpass it, but nothing was working so he tipped the edge of the bottle to the now empty glass and and filled it up again.
“Yah, aren’t you going overboard with it?” Key asked, moving his hand to try and stop the older, but as the shaman looked at him, still silently, he understood that nothing he could say would make him stop. Actually, he might as well down his tequila and pray that they could just crash somewhere in there because he sure as hell wasn’t taking Junsu home later on.
Fortunately – or unfortunately – the shaman had a strong endurance to alcohol, so before he could even threaten to pass out, he knew that there would be quite a few bottles getting empty.
“I know it hurts, you know? I know that.” The other started “But you have to think about the good things you have. I know it feels like you’ve lost the world, but..”
“I did lose the world, Kibum.” Junsu said, scoffing once he was done with that sentence and realizing that he’d use the man’s real name. How ironic was it that his name just happened to be the exact same one as the one person that disappeared from his life? “I really don’t like your name right now… I’ll just call you Steve, or something.”
Key scrunched up his nose in distaste then “Just call me Key, for heaven’s sake.” He said, downing yet another shot. “Are you like that because of him or the baby?”
“You can’t ask me stuff like that. It’s not like I could choose if I had to.” It was true though. He wouldn’t want to choose, but honestly, if he really had to, his baby girl would always come first. Always.
“He’s okay, isn’t he? I mean, he’s setting up his own family and stuff… Wasn’t that what you told me you wanted?”
Junsu looked at the man then, thinking that whatever comfort he was attempting at the moment, was most definitely not working. “Since when was I ever sure about what I wanted?”
“True.” Key blurted as his fingers tapped on the counter “But you’re in love with someone else too, aren’t you?” Junsu nodded then. No matter how dysfunctional his relationship was, he didn’t think he would give it up “So why are you like that? You can always go there and see the kid. I mean, you obviously have tons of money, so yeah. Unless you wanted the baby AND the ‘father’ I mean, I can totally approve of a threesome relationship, but I can tell you that it’s only good at first. That and the sex is pretty cool… but after a while, it stops working… and there’s only one party that gets left out.” He let out, tone clearly much more serious.
“I don’t know what I wanted, I don’t know why it hurts so much, but it does, okay? It hurts as if a part of me is missing, as if I can’t do the same things because I can’t function without that small piece of myself, you know? Like a broken clock of some sorts.” Yes, he knew he sounded dramatic, but that was how he felt at the time “I don’t know if I wanted him or not. Maybe not now, I don’t know Kib – I mean, Key. Our opportunity passed by us and neither one of us did a thing to grab it. I kind of wished for him to do so, actually… but he already loved her when I came along, you know? Have you ever had someone you loved crying on your shoulder because of someone else that is not you?” He asked, but he waited for no reply
“It hurts. It hurts a lot, but all you can do is comfort them and try to make sure they don’t do anything stupid. All I could do was point him the right way, towards her, and watch from afar. I was only able to comfort him, talk to him, gather his pieces together and make him whole again and stitch up his wounds so that he could go. It wasn’t supposed to be, that’s what it was… and I fell in love as well and even if it’s weird, I wouldn’t ever leave what I have now but sometimes I wonder what would have happened if the timing was a little better… sometimes, I really do wonder…”
And he did. Every single day.

Sometimes he wondered if Jiho ever listened to him. Like really listened. Of course he could rant all day long and yet, the other would only hear what he wanted. It annoyed him to no end. Sure, he knew how listening to older people (especially brothers) could be annoying when kids are young and just want to mess up, but there was just enough messes he could allow his brother to get into.
He was tempted to swat the bottle of tequila away from the kid, but one or two shots wouldn't kill the younger. The lack of arms around Junsu though, would earn him a punch in no time if he didn't stop being a dick and kept annoying the hell out of the shaman.
"You're stupidity is in the way of brotherly love. Hug me or I'll hung you upside down on the ceiling because I'm feeling generous today and killing my brother is not in my plans for the day." He said, hugging the other tighter and mumbling the words on his ear.
Why was it so difficult for him to admit he missed him? Because Junsu could feel that he did - thanks mutation for allowing him to feel people's shiffting auras - so if he needed an incentive to admit this stuff, he was going to get one.
"So, what's it gonna be, bro? Will I have to spank you to get a hug or something? Because I will."

Jiho looked away in annoyance. If they wanted him to freeze, send him to Canda or Alaska or fucking Switzerland. Wasn’t that the country where prostitutes and drugs were legal? He didn’t go to school, so how was he supposed to know where he was talking about. Either way, Antartica was shit and he hated it.
Having his hair ruffled, pissed him off even more. Not to mention, once again, a person was pretty much saying he was useless and that person was his brother. Then his brother went got on his soapbox about something. He stopped listening half way through as he reached across the bar, grabbing a bottle of tequila and a shot glass, “Yep, totally heard ya, broski,” he sing-songed as he poured himself a glass.
Before he could take a sip, the other was hugging him. He hands just lifted awkwardly, not sure what to do. He scowled, but ignored it as he tried to take a drink of his shot. “Your head is in the way of my drink.”

He was sure they were in for an eye roll galore with the way that conversation started. Then again, they were way too alike and so, that was bound to happen. Honestly, Jiho was a younger – and more reckless – version of Junsu and the older could see a lot of himself in his younger brother, but he was not sure if Jiho was wise or willing enough to mature. Heck, he didn't even know if he wanted to mature.
Junsu was pretty sure that his brother thought that if he changed in any way, life would no longer be fun. He couldn't be more wrong, but if Junsu were the one telling him that, he'd be called an old man or a fortune cookie. Well, he knew what he was talking about. Junsu was still reckless, he was still an incurable flirt despite love having knocked on his door. His life, despite what Jiho might have thought, was fun and ever changing. Nonetheless, he'd to live for himself so he could one day admit that Junsu was right.
“Nope. Never had the pleasure to eat a penggy.” He said, purposefully shortening the animal's name while his hands were propped on his hips before moving along with his brother. “Your sorry ass needed to freeze a little and you, my dear brother,” He continued, leaning forward again and ruffling the younger's hair in a playful manner “needed to cool off your messy head. Maybe if you play nice, big bro can take you to Tahiti. Of course that means you'll stay out of Cap's way because you know? He'll crush you to pieces and he won't even have to try too hard.” He mentioned
“Learn with your brother here, because I won't last forever: be smart, gather the good AND strong people around you and don't get ahead of yourself. Friends will protect you from everything, allies won't. Being cocky and having confidence are two great traits, but stupidity can kill you faster than any attack will. You know that, don't you, Jiho?” He finished, being the last part whispered inside Jiho's head rather than spoken and he was sure his brother wouldn't be too surprised to hear his voice inside his head as Junsu's eyes flicked from brown to blue and then brown again.
“Now I don't know about you, but I'm feeling touchy, so I want my hug and you have no saying in it.” Junsu leaned forward again then, placing one arm around Jiho's waist and the other around his neck, hand placed at the back of the younger's head. No matter what, he missed that brat.

Jiho rolled his eyes, waving his hand a bit, “They’ll get over it, then again… did ya know penguins don’t taste like chicken?” He grinned at the other. He didn’t eat penguins. He didn’t even see any while he was there.
Moving over to the bar, he took a seat, leaning over a bit to check out the bartender who was leaning over, “And no, I’m not givin’ ya a hug. Ya left my sorry ass in Antarctica ” he sighed as he sat down on his seat, glancing over at the other again.
“Antarctica. Was Tahiti all full?” He questioned with an amused look. “So… where is Cappy or whatever his name is. I definitely want to give him a huge hug.” he clicked his tongue before smiling, “Don’t worry, I won’t kill ‘im. I may give him third degree burns. Hell, I should give ya some too.”

There was almost no surprise in what was happening. Junsu knew his brother way too well and even if he hated to admit it, the 'free spirit' and 'i don't give a damn' kind of attitude seemed to run within the family. Well, maybe within the two of them. Hyunseung was obviously the exception to the rule. And suddenly he remembered how Jiho didn't know about the other male and his connection to the both of them. That would certainly be an interesting topic to talk about, he was sure of it. Dusting off his jeans, he peeked over the counter, only to see a familiar face and even if he didn't want to, he smiled. And then he rolled his eyes. How was he so casual as to barge in there and call out his name as if he was in his own house? He felt as if he could slap the other in the back of his head for that stunt but oh well.
Immediately coming out, he walked up to the taller male, hands propped on his waist and looked up at the other, looking around as if he was looking for something else “Did you leave the penguins behind?” He asked, a smile already on his face “No hug either? I'm kind of hurt, kid.”

Jiho glanced down at his phone and laughed, ignoring the taxi’s drivers look of confusion. Not like he cared what some stupid human thought about his laugh or how crazy he probably sounded. He would have gladly set the guy fire if he wasn’t already in a shit ton of trouble as it is.
Once he got out of the car, he threw some money at the driver and got out. The taxi driver called at him, telling him he was short on cash. Jiho turned and his chakrams appeared, surrounded by fire, “Sure about that?”
He watched as the driver sped up down the street. He chuckled as his chakrams disappeared. He ran a hand through his hair before heading into the club, pulling a lollipop out of pocket and opening it, popping it into his mouth, “Bro~ I’m home,” he called out.

Things simply couldn't get any worse. That's what Junsu thinks when one of the guys tells him that the truck that was supposed to come with the rest of the things he needed, got stuck somewhere on its way there.
“How the fuck does a truck 'get stuck'?”
“A strike, downtown.” The guy said
Damn strike! Wht was it now? It was a common thing those days and he didn't like it in the least. Having nothing for the guys to do when there was nothing to unload anyway, he dismissed them and sat on one of the stools near the bar. He looked around, seeing the mess that was the first floor and wondered if he should take the day to finish painting the walls. He probably should.
Taking a glance at the phone that he'd left forgotten on top of the counter, he looked at the screen, tapping on it when he saw he had a new text. His chn nearly hit the floor as he read its contents, already thinking about more than one way to break the kid's neck once he got to see him.
He got up immediately, appy that he sent everyone out for the day and typed a quick text at once.
You're fucked as soon as you get here. [unsent] But I miss you.

Jiho wouldn’t lie. He was glad to be out of Antfucktia (he enjoys calling it that - he thinks it gives it a ring). It was cold. Like really cold. Like balls almost fall off cold. He was a little… well, angry to say the least.
Why would his brother and that asshat think sending him to Antartica would be a good idea? They did realize he was a ‘fire-y’ person - in the literal sense. He could barely walk outside without his foot going through the snow making his shoes wet (and they were the cheap ass shit too).
He missed his big hotel room - which he gave to Chuck. Someone really needed to explain his choices. Not only that, he gave his money to Hyosung. He had nothing. He was broke and living in a shitty ass motel room. He was supposed to stay gone, but the world needed Jiho. He was too amazing to stay hidden. Sure, he was terrified of being arrested or being killed by his ex-gang members (oh, he misses those days).
So in an attempt to get over things, he left his brother a message saying he was heading over to his club (which reminded him of the club he lost too - Jiho was not happy). He didn’t even wait for a reply and just made his way there.

"(...) at least I’m still here. At least I still ask about it. When everyone tells you to drink away your pain, pats your back and don’t give a fuck, I do. So go ahead. If you don’t like my questions, I’ll shut up. You talk instead and you can say what you want to say. I’ll listen instead.”
