Hek has had perfect poops for two days now! We celebrated by hanging out with friends at the dog park.

Lots of fish and chicken for this girl from now on. No grains, especially no red meat. Gotta keep that pancreas happy.

Hek's test results all came back negative! She's still having diarrhea every few hours though. I asked what else I could do for her. Apparently, a whole chicken is too much for her. We are going to try just chicken breast, rinsed, to take out any excess fat for her. We are also bumping up her rice ratio to 50%. No pumpkin, no sweet potatoes.

We have returned from the vet! The foot problem was secondary, but the vet wanted to get that out of the way first. She lanced it and drained all the shit that was in there. We think it was a small stick that got in there and when it tried to heal the ingrown hairs made it infected. My poor dear child had so much shit come out of her poor foot. The chicken foot will have to be on for at least three days.

After her foot was taken care of we moved on to discussing the other problems. The moral of the story is that Hek has a very sensitive pancreas. We think she may have just had too much fat for a couple of days. So, we are going to a strictly fishy and birdie diet. I have learned that Hek cannot tolerate any kind of beef or pork at all. Apparently we may not even be able to do turkey or rabbit anymore. We have already eliminated the grains because that was the first thing I figured out needed to go.

We got some FortiFlora to trade out for the yogurt because the yogurt isn't good for the pancreas. I also need to get her at least 1000mg of fish oil. I am also looking into antioxidant options for her.

Herz stool sample is still being sent off to the lab just to confirm we aren't dealing with anything else.

We've been struggling hardcore the last few days. Hek has not had a solid poop in three days and has been vomiting up some of her meals. We've had to walk a bit more because of the diarrhea she's having. This has caused the sore on her foot to open up.

Hek and I have gotten into a funky routine. Now that the Memorial Day rush is over, I have a break in the afternoons from about 2 to about 6. When I get home we go for a short walk (her foot looked great last week and now it's looking bad again). After, we nap until I have to get up for my evening clients.

I want to be training, but I'm so exhausted from being so busy working and building this business.
