Gil Florini, a parish priest of the parish of Saint-Pierre d'Arène in Nice. Florini was a former French teacher, soldier, educator, horse breeder, restaurateur and distiller of pastis. Florini orchestrated the blessing of pets and mobile phones. Apparently he was involved with embezzlement of an unscrupulous steward, prosecuted and convicted for breach of trust, but was completely cleared by the Aix-en-Provence Court of Appeal.
