The people I interact with are friends and mutuals of mine, not total strangers, and generally when I send asks I’m trying to be very careful to keep in-character and in-continuity.

Additionally, my 🎗 tells them who I am, so that they know I’m also playing a character that they can interact with outside of asks, that has their own lore and motives. Please be polite to my friends and try not to confuse them by using it <3 Thanks!

For the sake of guidance, I hope people will follow the highest precautions possible. The worst of SARS-CoV-2 is not limited to 2020, despite what is stated by politicians, media outlets and other public figures and professionals to whom it applies.

I want to inform readers the CDC has officially ended the 5 day isolation period for SARS-CoV-2 and this does not suddenly mean it is not contagious or that our protocols should be lapsed or relaxed. Spread is more rampant than ever. So please do not let this announcement and decision give a false sense of security.

As others have said, if SARS-CoV-2 cannot be eradicated (I still hold out hope and think it imperative in fact), it means adjusting and adapting, not ignoring it, treating this virus and disease as harmless or of little harm and create hostile untenable conditions and daily situations for any efforts of prevention and control of it.

Of what I've read over the course of 4 years, SARS-CoV-2 continues to mutate, kill and disable. This cannot last and will end in an ever escalating disaster if we continue to allow it. - Admin and mod

Additional: Immunity rates are a concern as are vaccination rates. The boast of vaccines administered does not often enough include a breakdown based on how many in the series per person (e.g. 1 dose, primary series, x number of boosters and how recently).

Vaccine rates vary by country, but in regard to the U.S. rates have been on a decline, thus compromising effectiveness on a population level.

Hi. I think it’s time guys...

Yeah, you heard me right. 

I think I’m closing down Western Magical Girl confessions, for good this time...

Why do I finally come to this decision? 

Well, one reason is that I’ve ran this blog for a very long time, and I think I’m finally ready to move on to other things.

I think western magical girl shows are starting to become a rarity this day in age. Shows like Lolirock, Equestria Girls, She Ra, Star vs., Winx Club, The Owl House etc. are over. There’s not much hype for western magical girl series (or magical girl series in general) like it used to be. The only real popular western magical girl series that’s still airing is Miraculous Ladybug, in which that leads to my other reason.

I’m slowly starting to lose interest in Miraculous Ladybug also. I’ve pretty much got all the satisfaction that I could get out of the show at this point. Yes, I’ll probably still do some headcanons, AUs, shipping memes, writing prompts etc. from the series, but I’m basically done with the canon.

Also...I think that I personally just want to try to detach myself from this blog. I have...life goals. Life goals that I want to really start making for myself. I want to prioritize a lot more things in my life that’s OUTSIDE of the internet. 

Also, I have 5 other blogs. Keeping up with them too is a little...tedious now, especially ones that are becoming ghost blogs as time goes on. 

So for all of these reasons, I think I’m ready to say goodbye to this part of my life...soon. 

That’s right, “Soon”, as in...not right at this moment. 

I want to do these things first before finally moving on.

I want to at least finish all of the confessions in the box, so I’ll be closing the submissions box and inbox for confessions and headcanons. So that means any confessions or headcanons that are send at this point will automatically be DELETED.

After I do, I will close them for about a week or two.

I’m going to make a poll, asking for your opinions on this. Maybe even more than 1.

After I get the final results of that poll (or polls), I might temporarily open confessions back up for about a week (or maybe even a month, I don’t know yet), to give everyone a chance to confess anything that they want. Then I’ll reclose confessions and do those confessions. 

After that, I will most likely close western magical girl confession...for good. 

But you know? Who knows??? I MIGHT change my mind. I MIGHT wait until Miraculous Ladybug season 5 is over. However, to be honest though? I hope not. 

Sorry guys, I really am. No offense, but...it’s just I KNOW that I’m week😂 I might just decide to keep this blog up for a little while longer, but I’m not making any promises. I want to be done with this blog. Will that happen or not is all due in time. 

I want to appreciate everyone who has send a confession in the past! I really appreciate it and I’m going to miss you all ^^ I’ll be on my other blogs for now on, so if you're interested, just find me at the blogs that I’ll list below. Thank you for all the good years in the fandoms and all the good times! I wish you all the best of luck in your futures. I’ll never forget the fun I had running this blog...

Trauma sticks like velcro

I'm still fighting a lot of trauma from Kemetic Orthodoxy. I saw this post, and it sent me back.

You have no idea what a shit-show it was behind-the-scenes in the House of Netjer, people constantly and purposefully going out of their way to presume someone was being "malicious" for just breathing next to them. It was like operating a daycare center: "Teacher, they're LOOKING at me!"

Grow up. GROW UP. AHHHHHH.

The best part was all the people who would block people they didn't care for but then still report things they've said to the mods (Discord block sucks, it just "hides" messages and you can choose to open them manually). Like. We literally know you are being an asshole since you blocked that person but are still looking at their messages anyway! By CHOICE!

We had to implement rules about blocking, because House of Netjer members are literally children. Basically if you were caught 'circumventing a block' that was an offense -- basically you had blocked someone (and it was easy for someone to know they were blocked as you can't react to that person's posts) but you were still reporting their content or addressing comments / posts toward them. The only reason this rule was in place is because people could not act like adults. There is no other reason to have such a ridiculous rule. If you don't like someone, block them. If you want to read their posts still, that's on you. Don't report the content to the moderators. Grow the fuck up.

Final part of this rant is this: we would often encourage people to presume good intentions. This directive came straight from Tamara though for whatever reason she refused to lay it on the public membership more frequently (a constant problem with her, just a general lack of consistent, strong leadership) and instead would just bring it up in private to members of the staff how she wished people would presume good intentions. But the rocking part of all that is when you would ask this of the community, they would flip out and accuse you of "toxic positivity".

No dearies, it's not toxic positivity: it's reality. And the person you built your entire allegiance around (Tamara Siuda aka the "Nisut" / Pharaoh) wants you to fucking do it this way, so get a grip on reality and understand not everyone is out to get you.

Stop forcing everyone around you to curate YOUR world, and did I mention: grow the fuck up?

Since Automattic has finally accepted that Tumblr will be a non-profitable hellscape no matter what they do, @staff should give me moderator privileges. Just for funsies. I promise to work completely for free, as a volunteer, and I will not abuse my powers except once every third Saturday when I must consume the soul of a small child to remain in this dimension.

Question speed run from one curious responder to the interest check‼️

“Is a Tumblr account required?”

To participle in the zine? No. A Discord is required, but having a tumblr, twitter, or insta has no affect on zine participation.

“Do contributors have to pay for some items in the zine?”

That depends on sales! Ideally, each contributor will receive a full bundle, no charge.

“Is anyone allowed to work on this zine? Minors included?”

Contributor applications are 16+, moderator applications are 18+

“Generally, what does ‘for-profit’ mean? Who will get the money?”

Profit will be evenly distributed amongst contributors/moderators. The profit will depend on sales and shipping expenses.

“Do the mods have any experience?”

Experience as moderators? Yes. While moderator applications are still open until October 15th, 3/5 selected moderators have exemplary experience in zine leadership roles.

“How heavy will the expected work load be?”

That depends on the contributor! For example, artists will be expected to make a minimum of one page, but are allowed to make more pages/comics if they desire to. Writers will be given a word count range to fit into, so it’s up to them if they write towards the minimum or the maximum. The work load will be as heavy as the amount of work contributors put into their pieces.
