Obscure Angel Memes
[points to anything that isn’t an animal] that’s some good 6th day of creation shit
substituting curse words with words from dead languages
“Good job, Gabriel. “
arguing over which wing is more important to flight
“I can’t believe it’s not the Roman empire!”
God said let there be [anything that wasn’t included in the days of creation]
“Not Babylon again”
dinosaur bones in places they shouldn’t be
“it takes a village to raise the antichrist”
[playing Highway to Hell on a harp}
“Mount Vesuvius was a clerical error”
coming up with creative names for poisonous plants, then giving them to Michael as a new hair product
“Just because Jesus took a 3 day nap doesn’t mean you get one”
“I’ve got the body of a loaf of bread and enough alcohol in my veins to be called Jesus, too”
[anytime something bad happens] at least it’s not leprosy
the weekly game of “Worse Than Judas?”  that involves the angels competing to find the worst human alive

Kintsugi: the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold-infused lacquer. The practice adheres to the philosophy of treating breakage and repair as natural parts of an object’s history, rather than incidents whose evidence is to be concealed (x) Repaired Heart, Kintsugi Study #4) and Kintsugi Study #2 by TJ Volonis

why don’t we talk about angels who weren’t holy enough or pure
why don’t we talk about the angels who didn’t enjoy their role in heaven
why don’t we talk about the angels who don’t feel their wings anymore
why don’t we talk about the angels who never felt holy

date an angel!
date someone with six wings, two covering their face, two covering their feet, and two on their back. a warrior, sword drawn, ready to defend their father.
date an angel!
date someone with four wings, covered in eyes! no two eyes blink at the same time, and you’re pretty sure you haven’t seen at least half of them blink! they are a spy, they are ready to defend their home.
date an angel!
date someone with six wings, eyes everywhere! they lift their wings up and you find more eyes. they reek of holiness, nauseating to the point where you can’t be within ten feet of them if you aren’t an angel yourself. they do not need to fight, the others fight for them.

Things I’ve learned about Angels
I wrote up a list of things I’ve learned about angel culture since I started working with them. Please don’t take this as gospel. I’ve done my best to only write about things that I have personally seen and learned, but I might still be off sometimes, and there’s always exceptions too. If something doesn’t jive with you, that’s perfectly fine.
-
1. Angels are basically born into civic work, it’s what they’re created for. For this reason they’re expected to maintain a professional relationship with fellow angels, humans, and other entities with which they interact. It’s generally taboo, or even a punishable offense depending on the angel society, for them to do things like have intimate sexual relationships or produce children. It’s akin to sleeping with your coworkers, or even your patients in the case of mortals. However, it’s not unheard of for angels to have secret trysts with a lover. 2. Angels are social beings. Lone angels are unusual and usually a result of unfortunate circumstances in their lives that forced them into a solitary existence. 3. Angels have three sets of wings. They have an ephemeral pair which they vibrate to communicate/sing with each other. It produces an unearthly, beautiful sound similar to a string instrument. Their next pair are standard flight wings. Their third pair is a denser set which function like shields. 4. Angels have a sweet tooth. Fruit is a favorite food, but some even like soda and candy. 5. Angel names are like a title that describes their purpose. And just like with human names, angels can have the same name as another, though this doesn’t seem to happen within the same angel society. For example, there is a Raphael that works for Yahweh as the “head medic”, but there are other Raphaels out there with different histories and personalities working for other sources as the “head medic” of those societies. 6. Angels are agender. They don’t have anything “down there” and don’t identify as any gender (though they might have a preference for the gender they appear as). Some angels are asexual, but others aren’t. The angels I’ve encountered who do experience sexual attraction were all pansexuals. Angels have erogenous zones placed down their upper spine, along their shoulder blades, and through their wings. 7. Angels have a wide range of personalities and beliefs, just like humans. They’re generally “lawful good”, meaning they have a strict code of conduct that they follow, and are generally working towards the light, however, some of the most cruel and awful beings I’ve ever met were angels. Others have been quite obtuse, callous, and ruthless. It also bears noting, if you’re otherkin, or for some reason have a very storied past on the astral, they might not treat you like they would another human, even if you don’t remember any of it. Do not assume every angel you meet will have your best interests at heart, and don’t call them into your life lightly. Angels work together with many others and have vast resources at their disposal. This can be good, or quite dangerous, depending on who you are. [I generally recommend that human-incarnated Fallen do not call angels in that they don’t know, since there might be bad blood there. Even if it wasn’t your fault, or you didn’t do anything wrong, or you don’t even remember what you might have done, some angels are dicks and won’t care. Best not to take the risk and invite disaster. If you still want to try, then use past memories to determine which angels are safe, and/or take advice from trusted spirits that you’ve known awhile.] 8. Angels are created fully formed, they never go through a physical child stage in their development. However, they do have a child-like innocence and naiveté about them in their younger years just like any other being. 9. Angels incarnated as humans are, almost without exception, angels who were killed and had their soul enter the cycle of reincarnation on earth, angels in exile/hiding, or otherwise no longer working with their original society. Angels are basically created to work, and incarnating is not considered a part of the job. There might be the rare angel who was ordered to incarnate for a specific task, but this would be exceedingly rare at best. 10. Not all angels get along or agree with each other. Different angel groups, and individuals within those groups, might vehemently disagree with each other. It has led to rebellions, wars, and political struggles. 11. Angels don’t all work for the same god. They can serve a variety of deities, places, and causes. Solitary angels generally still do work within their field of expertise, often working with other astral entities. When an angel has been set a task, they’ll attend to it with all of their focus until it’s completed. They don’t seem to ever tire of their work, though they do enjoy down-time and quality time with the beings they care about. 12. Angels can suffer mental illness and become traumatized just like other beings. 13. When an angel directs affection towards someone, it feels very warm and wonderful. It can sometimes even feel like a mild dose of ecstasy. 14. Angels often work in cities with their own kind. Their buildings have high open arches to allow easy flight through the different floors. Angels each have their own bedroom. 15. All angels, regardless of their duties, are trained in combat, just like Marines.
16. Angels do not belong to Christianity, you don’t have to be a Christian to work with them. Some angels do work for Yahweh, but there are many who don’t.
