Winter clothing struggles

Winter comes with its cold air and the beauty of its snow, but for us it means a season of fear, anxiety, and great challenges, as we find it difficult to provide warm clothes and basic winter supplies.

My family is afraid of contracting colds, influenza, and freezing in the absence of hospitals and the lack of medicines and treatment.

The high prices are considered a reason for the inability to buy clothes, as only the bourgeois class can buy clothes in Gaza. To buy clothes for one child, you need at least 100 Canadian dollars.

I, Mahmoud Baalou, have gone through five wars in my life. The biggest shock of my life was on November 4, 2006. Losing... My older brother, after being shot in the chest by the occupation army in the city of Beit Hanoun...

Hence the suffering of wars began.

I will tell you a little about my life:

I had ambition and a bright future. I loved life and living in stability and security, and I loved working hard in my future...

I had a few days to go and I was about to start a new life and look for a suitable woman to marry.

I had achieved some things that I had dreamed of since October 7, which was buying a house, but the war destroyed my dreams and ambitions.

How we live now

I had a nice exhibition related to children's and women's shoe sales.

The exhibition was destroyed by incendiary shells fired by the occupation.

I had accumulated debts and obligations to the merchants, and the fair was full of goods .

And my father also had this happen to him in his exhibition

This destruction has caused us to lose our sources of livelihood and the livelihood of the workers who work in both exhibitions ..

The war took everything from me

I lost my pets in our house

All I hope for now is to reunite my family in Egypt and save them from the disastrous situation in which they are living...My father has high blood pressure and diabetes, and my Mother also has diabetes. They both urgently need medical care, which is unavailable in Gaza.

Kareman Dohan (@karemandohan1999), a brave teacher from Khan Yunis, reached out to me in this time of dire need where all her immense courage and determination is still reaching the limits of what she can do to support her family without external intervention.

Her husband, Ayman, is a business administrative graduate who had to work as a fisherman due to the unemployment crisis in Gaza prior to the war.

Together, they have a beautiful son named Hamoud, who is 1 and a half and dreams of a prosperous life far from this violence none of them deserve.

While they are currently stuck in a war zone and cannot yet hope to leave, we can still come together to help them endure these horrendous waiting conditions and help them weather this dreadful storm.

Mother of two children is pregnant with a 3rd and needs to evacuate Gaza ASAP!

Hadeel is a mother of two young children (7 year old Mira and 6 year old Nadia) who's raising funds to evacuate Gaza with her family members.
