Wow, I haven't been around in a very long time. And I actually just logged in to reply to the fantastic @defaultjane because I love everything she does and tagging me in games is no exception! And when I saw it I immediately went "omg I wanna do that!" But I had to find the time LOL So, a little late, but meh... Here we go! Rules: list the first line(s) of your last 10 posted fics and see if there’s a pattern!

Family Portrait: Alright, before the start of this story, let me start off by saying this: I'm in love.

Kill Two Babysitters with One Stone: Just one more step, Chris thought to himself as he turned around the corner and looked at his target. The exit was so close, and yet so far away.

The White One: “I want the green one!” Sherry’s voice was so loud that it caught the attention of the young shop assistant in the tight dress suit, who showed off a perfect row of white teeth from behind a red-lipped, nervous smile when she stepped into the changing room to check on the bride-to-be and her friends.

One More Night: “You’re everything to me.”

Birthday: The Happy Widows Club, a group of women between twenty-six and ninety years old, sits on the bench next to the entrance of the graveyard, like they do every morning, after cleaning their late husbands’ tombstones.

A Third Chance: Adding the second line here because I kind of stole the first one from RE6, you'll notice ;) "He was running recon. Alone." Chris could practically hear how the young man rolled his eyes as he spoke, devaluing the fallen team member and his insubordination to zero against the leftover soldiers.

Booty Shorts: “Summer Marie Redfield. I don’t care what Tiffany’s going to wear, you are not going out without your pants on!”

The Fifth New Year's Resolution: “I didn’t travel,” Claire whispers as she blinks at the fireworks that flash up in the night sky, painting a game of pink and yellow onto the black canvas.

Conclusion (if there is one): Now, the timeline of these fics is a bit messed up because there are several multichapter fics that have been posted over the years (and only one of them is finished), but when there is more than one character in the scene, I seem to like to start my fics with a short line of dialogue. If they're alone, they just do boring, random things like smoking or thinking lol

I would tag people here, but I have been off for so long that I don't even remember who those people would be lol So, this stream of the game dies with me *bows* Thank you!

I love it when people take fic writing seriously. I love when it's not 'Here's this dumb thing I wrote' and instead it's 'Here's this thing I put blood, sweat and tears into. Here's this thing I slaved away at, trying new writing techniques and editing over and over. Here's this dialogue that kept me awake at night. Here's this beautiful turn of phrase I thought up. Here's this thing that I wrote with vulnerability and heart, and I am proud to share it with you.'

The artificial femininity women are sold is quite literally man-made, man-intended and therefore masculine.

The woman on the left here looks exactly like a woman naturally looks. She couldn't be any more womanly or feminine.

But the woman on the right is intentionally taking steps trying to look less like a woman. The result is a male fantasy, rooted in fetishism and far removed from what female human beings look like. So she is not "hyper-feminine". She's hyper masculine.

Originally feminine was just french for womanly/femaleness. But in typical patriarchal fashion, the meaning of words is reversed, so that the masculine woman is considered feminine and the feminine woman is considered masculine.

You know the whole reason why I haven’t left Tumblr after all these years is because this site is so introvert friendly.

I don’t have the attention span or much less the strength to keep up with Discord conventions (bc apparently fandom is more in Discord these days?? I am not a talkative person to even take part in a group chat *shivers*) or follow with whatever’s going down on Twitter.

I can come on here, make a post into the void and reblog a bunch of posts then ramble in the tags. It’s great. You don’t have to be a person here, you can be a faceless blog and have a grand old time.
