Ash: OK but how about a spa. Go to a place where they put cucumbers on your face and wrap those hot towels around you while beating your muscles down.

No, we aren’t nicking anything.  I was thinking like those napkins with the logo on it or royal seal or whatever.  Pictures!  We have to get some.  Do you know that until I went to work on our first album, I’d never left Australia.  It’s so crazy to think about.  I was a poor kid and now I’m at a palace and meeting royalty.  I’m a tank fish in a very big ocean.  I’m gonna be watching how these forks go.  I don’t want to look stupid even if I probably already do while I gawk at everything.  Come on and walk with me.  Do you think we’d look fashionable with crowns?

I know, this is crazy.  I’ve never been to anything like this with actual royalty.  It’s like I’m the stable boy with an accidental invitation.  I’m truly going to call and tell my mom tomorrow and send all the pictures.  I don’t even know what to do with the forks.  Pick the one you like the most.  At least you have met them before at least once.  Dude, I’m burnt, but I’m catching that second wind, so I’m good.  Let’s wander around a bit.  I need a souvenir or something as proof I was actually here. 

can you believe we’re at a party for the future king and queen of England? what is our life, this is nuts. everyone’s so posh and i’m afraid i’m going to eat with a wrong fork or something. my mum’s gonna go mental when i tell her what kind of party i was invited to. so this worth making the trip half-way across the world? you must be going on fumes right now, if you wanna leave soon to kip, just lemme know and i’ll get us a car back to mine.

Cal: I can get something done with Mikey while you're gone. We can lay out some tracks and then we can finish them off when all four of us are together again.

Cal: That seems more likely. Because I sure as shit am not going to be the person to tell Mali she can't be my best person at my wedding. There would be no wedding after that because she would end my life.

Cal: That's actually not a bad idea, just go in the middle of the desert somewhere to just chill. Tho with you guys out of town, we have allllll the privacy we need anyway. ;)

Cal: ...why are you specifically telling people? sigh. stop it. Jeez, I know you're excited but don't.

Ash: I'm okay. I'm healing. Trust me, okay. I'm in the best of hands.

Ash: Sounds like a plan. Also believe me when I say this refresher will be a great thing.

Ash: She's a lot smaller than you, but a lot sneakier too. You'd have to sleep with both eyes open.

Ash: You guys should take some camping stuff, drive out towards Vegas, sit by a campfire and look at the stars - and do a lot of other things.

Ash: Liam won't say a word. You know that. Also, the only two people I have told are like 💯 💯 💯 .

Ash: Don't worry. This is just what I need. I've been promised crepes by the Eiffel Tower.

Li: A lot of cuddles and I'm gonna do my best to get your mind off it. I feel like we have to start with Nando's and chill because that flight you're on is a killer.

Li: and it was a teen relationship that happened on tour. We both needed some comfort and something normal and glad we walked away from that without hurt feelings.

Li: You'll find that eventually, just need to give it some time and space mate. It'll happen when you least expect it and when you're in a good place to receive it. You've had bad experiences so trust doesn't come easy but I think when the right person comes along, a lot of that will change.

Li: If you think I'm not going to drag you to the London eye, you'd be wrong. Because we're gonna do that and then get crepes from that place across the street from Big Ben. You'll have so much fun that you don't even wanna go home.

Li: We've known each other too long, you can't really fake it with me. I can read you like a book.

Li: Sounds like they're a good match. I'm happy for them. Big big fan of my friends finding happiness.

Ash: Yes, and yes, and yes. I will suffer through the flight for all of it.

Ash: I'm glad we did too. It was honest and smart, a lot more than most of my *adult* life relationships.

Ash: I know. I need to learn to open myself up to it, and that is the hardest part, but I'm okay.

Ash: OMG keep that temptation coming. I'll never leave. Crepes sound so good. Paris is beautiful, this is good for the soul.

Ash: Exactly why I need you.

Li: You're definitely not alone, mate. You've got a ton of friends around, me included.

Li: What we had was so long ago. Nothing anyone should be jealous of. I'm so just happy we're still mates. Teen relationships can be a hit or miss in that regard, especially since we were actual babies when we dated.

Li: Sounds like you're much better off now and you can try rebuilding your life into something that fulfills you and makes you happy. Take it from someone who's went through a terrible breakup...happiness doesn't come from another person, you have to feel happy in your own skin first.

Li: I'll be there to pick you up. I have no idea about Lou's schedule or what he's doing but you definitely get my sparkling company for as long as you'd like. and Bear's starting on Tuesday if you wanna stay that long.

Li: You can only fake it for so long too.

Li: I'm not gonna tell people until they do. I'm glad everything seems to be working out for them.

Ash: Which is why I'm on the way - and for cuddles cause I need that like whoa.

Ash: We really were, but we were always friends first and we never really broke up. You were in the UK and we were back home so like no bitterness at all. Then we were both super stupid busy.

Ash: I am better off. I don't think I've ever found that one - at least as an adult. It's kind of always something off and I just don't trust easily. That part is on me.

Ash: I want your sparkling company. I can't wait to see the little man. Take me out, give me the London experience. Damn I really missed you.

Ash: See - I don't have to with you. That's all the difference.

Ash: I don't know why they waited for so long, but they work on like every level. I'm totally jealous but I love it.

Cal: We'll figure it out. Get some new material written and maybe then we'll finally have something to release to the fans for our tenth anniversary.

Cal: If I get married and don't ask Mali to be my best person, she's never gonna let me hear the end of it.

Cal: People don't always need to know everything. Especially stuff that's no one else's business.

Cal: Nice. Say hi to them, it's been a minute since we all saw each other. We have to fix that soon.

Ash: Can we just postpone the session for like a week? I'll do facetime or whatever. I just need time.

Ash: Fine, then I'll be Mikey's. I'm actually probably Mikey's anyway. He's an only child. Not that I don't love Mali.

Ash: You guys need a long weekend away, not here in LA, but somewhere nice. Drive out to the Springs or something.

Ash: I know. I might have told Liam. Just saying. I was excited and it slipped.

I bet you’d be so good on stage.  I don’t get to see many things, but I can definitely see it.  I don’t say this much but I was a glee fan back in the day, and I saw you in Versace and Hollywood.  You crush it, man.  That’s a pretty good intro.  I kinda lowkey want to see the Tinder intro.  JOKING.  I’m in a mood, but hey, I’m Ashton, vocalist and drummer. 

The 25th anniversary of RENT was the other day so naturally, that’s all that’s been playing in my house this weekend. I’m about 73% sure that if anyone needed a one man production of that show that I could manage. I’d be available for parties, family reunions and anything in between so if anyone’s interested, put the bid in now because I have a feeling this will be in high demand. No seriously though - all this has been making me miss doing shows. TV’s great and all but nothing ever really compares to the stage so you heard it here first… Darren Criss back to Broadway even if Broadway’s just his living room for now. How’s everyone doing though? Hopefully, not incredibly bored after my attempt at a good introduction.. @hfrpstarters​
