In no universe that James is alive would Sirius end up with Remus." I continue. The crowd gets worse. "She's right!" I hear. I turn my head before leaving and see Remus fucking Lupin, who in fact is aware that he can't have Sirius in any universe where James breathes.

y'all talk about james coming to sirius asking for kissing help in prep for his date with lily, but we gotta have more "lily comes to sirius for kissing help in prep for her date with james"

better yet, they both come to sirius for help. he practices with both of them separately before finally, irritated, he brings them all together and walks them through it

"okay, james, put your hand here. lily, shift your leg like this. christ, what would you guys do without me?"

and then he's just there all the time as an intimacy coordinator
