August 14 2017 - Protesters in Durham, North Carolina decide to take matters into their own hands and take down a confederate statue. 

The statue represented a soldier who fought in the Civil War and an inscription on the front read “The Confederate States of America.” 

One organizer of the protest told WNCN that toppling the statue was in response to the violence at a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Va. this weekend.“It needs to be removed,” organizer Loan Tran told the news station. “These Confederate statues in Durham, in North Carolina, all across the country.” [video]

shading colour tips

hey yall its me the Art Mom™ to help you shade pretty

rule 1: DO NOT SHADE WITH BLACK. EVER. IT NEVER LOOKS GOOD. 

red- shade with a slightly darker shade of purple

orange- slightly darker and more saturated shade of red

yellow- i think like..a peach could work but make it a really light peach

green- shade with darker and less saturated shade of blue or teal

blue- shade with purple

purple- a shade thats darker than the purple you’re using and maybe a little pink (MAYBE blue)

pink- darker shade of red

white- a really light lavender or blue..or i guess any really light colour??

black- okay listen dont use pure black to colour anything unless you want to leave it with flat colours because you cant really shade black lol

grey- a slightly darker shade of purple or blue (less saturated)

brown- slightly darker and less saturated shade of purple or red

aaaaand thats all i got lol. let me know if there is anything i should add to this list!!

So I see you mention this dating sim occasionally and was wondering what and where this is, if it is complete of course.

Of course!  You can check out @undertale-dating-simulator there.  The game isn’t complete, but they’re working on getting the new demo finished so everyone can check it out.  Wilson’s got a few new videos on the blog that show some features of the game, and it’s really exciting to see everything coming together!

While I can’t spoil any details, the premise of the game is… well, you fall Underground and choose between basically True Love, Friendship, or Heart-break for the characters.  It’s a Dating Sim, but holy crap, it’s one of the most in-depth dating sims I’ve ever seen, and while I know a lot of people have been pushing for it’s completion, I can say without a shadow of a doubt that when it’s finished, it will have been worth the wait.  There’s just so much to this game, and so much thought has gone into it, that it’s going to be incredible to play through.
