I have a headcanon that the hunters will practice paint ideas on boar heads, and the paint means different things. Roger gives Simon the paint of immunity. It means the hunters can't touch or do damage to him, but Simon doesn't know that

Firstly, thank you so much! I'm so flattered that you like my posts and my account 💕

I actually don't know that I have a favorite because it would be so hard for me to pick, but I'll choose one sad one and one happy one for you! One of my favorites to write about is pre-island Roger calls Simon's house on the phone every evening to make sure that Simon got home okay, after choir practice or just after school. It's comforting for Roger to hear Simon's voice on the other end and it becomes a routine for them. Once Simon dies, Roger still calls the number just to hear the line die.

Second headcanon is that Roger is very protective over Simon. He really doesn't like people calling Simon batty - because he isn't - and everyone in their school is too afraid to spread that rumor because of Roger. He just makes sure nobody is talking shit about Simon (which is why Jack did it with Ralph, he knew he'd never get another chance to), and he will resort to physical violence to defend Simon.
