On one hand, kinda wanna get Xenoblade X DE, on the other hand, I'm pretty sure I have, like, 500 hours on the Wii U version and I already went on record saying I wasn't that interesting in Xenoblade DE for that exact same reason.

I love how Dunban’s relationship with Riki was “knowing adult playing along with childish delusions” and then Riki finally goes “Man, I’m a married father of *mumblemumble* with a mortgage and debt, I just talk funny.” when they have a chance to chat.

It's very funny that this mechanic exists in every game except Xenoblade X (there are no ladders on Mira).
Honestly one of the best mechanics. Workplace safety.

Vandham 100% played every FNAF game. Nagi got really into Undertale and Among Us. He probably has a sans AU lying about somewhere.
Lao, Doug, Frye, and Nagi all played Fortnite. Nagi was probably a god at Fortnite.
What generations are Xenoblade Chronicles X characters in?
(calculations based on the year 2056 and in-game given ages)
Millennial : Maurice Chausson (65)
Gen Z : Nagi (57), Bozé (54), Vandam (48)
Gen α : Lao(31)*, Doug (30)*, Frye (30)*
Gen β : Elma (29), HB (28), Eleonora (28), Irina (27), "Hero"(late 20s), Murderess (26), Gwin (24), Hope (24), Phog (24), Yelv (22), Cross(**), Alexa (21), Mia (19), Celica (18)
Gen γ : Lin (13), Tatsu (13)
*depending on which date range you use, these are all close enough to the edge that you could consider them Gen Beta
** despite Cross' age technically being determined by the player, dialogue suggests Cross "canonically" appears to be old enough to drink in the United States but young enough to still get carded

They're very funny. You run into their toes and immediately get sent flying. You explode their head and they Do Not Give A Shit. An army of little ferrets follow them around 24/7. You find them in the first 5 minutes of gameplay and they 100% could benchpress the final boss.
10/10 creeture.
I haven't played Xenoblade X yet but Millesaurus I will kill for you

I think it's really funny that one of the few good character designs in Xenoblade 2 belongs to Queen Raqura: a minor character who has, like, 2 whole spoken sentences over the course or the entire game.
Like, first of all, she's one of the only female characters in the series to not be a twig. She's one of the only female characters in Xenoblade 2 to not be designed in a fetishy way. I know, high fucking standards over here.
I do like how her design uses shape language to impose her authority. It's mostly done by making her wide, between her bulk and her collar thing (idk what it's called). Her outfit is ornate enough to come across as upper class, but it's not so ornate as to read as overly wealthy. Which helps sell Uraya's money problems. She reads as a down-to-earth ruler and that's largely how she's characterized.
Like, this isn't necessarily peak character design, but it is a level of quality that should have been the baseline instead of the exception.

Anyone else still think it's funny that Fiora was originally going to bring Shulk curry but that got changed to a sandwich out of concerns for sexism?
Like, not only does that completely miss the point. It also just creates a bunch of weird plotholes around the sandwich. Like, what do you mean she put "special spices" into the sandwich? Why did she feed Dunban curry but made a separate thing for Shulk? What are those tiny ass bites on Shulk's part? Why was Fiora worried about the sandwich getting cold?
Absolute girlfail writing there lmao.

I bet Elma was smoking weed while every other Xenoblades protagonist was busy fighting for their lives on Aionios.

Which Xenoblade protagonist would win in a fight?
Assuming they're fighting 1v1v1v1, Elma would win, because she does not need the power of friendship to shoot a man.
If we allow love interests to assist, seeing how at least half of the protagonists are quite literally married to their swords, Rex would win. He simply has the numbers advantage.
#the average xenoblade protagonist is married to their sword is actually a statistical outliar#swordfucker Rex who is married to three swords is a statistical outlier and should not have been counted#xenoblade

Tbf at least irl royal bloodlines don't involve 3 separate unniverses imploding.
This is a hilarious case of "is this Saito same face" or "Are Ethel and Melia daughter and mother"
