Way back in Volume 2, Weiss mentioned that the Atlas CCT is the original and tallest Tower. We know that next volume, team RWBY is going to Atlas. And finally, we saw from the Raven vs Cinder fight that crwby has seriously leveled up their mid-air fight choreography and terrain usage.

So what I’m saying is…

This volume we might have a fight at the top of the Atlas CCT, and then a fight falling down the Tower, and RWBY will have finally made an overt Dead Fantasy reference, and I will explode from happiness.

Thought: If Acxa and the others attacked the prison solely to take Sam Holt (Acxa said there was one other way to get back into the Empire’s good favor), that means they must have known about the connection between him and probably Pidge, a Paladin of Voltron. Since the prison was formerly under Lotor’s control, he would have informed them of the connection—but why would they need to know about that? Unless...Lotor planned so far ahead that he has “in case X happens, do Y” scenarios, which I’m guessing he would have told to Acxa because she comes across as fiercely loyal to Lotor, to get to the point where he would be able to feed Team Voltron intel for easy wins and eventually gain enough quasi-trust o deliver the Holt bomb. Just so he could gain their good graces.

I’m mainly trying to figure out why Lotor knew that one particular scientist would be so important—because he’s human, like most of the Paladins? Or if Lotor did his research, because he was Pidge’s dad. Even if the latter was the case it wouldn’t explain how Lotor would know—how ANYONE would know, actually—that Sam Holt was related to a Paladin.
