A cloud of mist stirs. In its centre, a manlike shape.
Then follow me. But you should know; my magic makes me elusive enough to escape the Moth, but I can't take you with me. If there's trouble, I'll do what I can, but you may need to protect yourself.
Hellohello, my communicator got fixed so I decided I might as well make another account, stop using the other account, keep things more consistent. That stuff.
Me and @strixhavens-best-printer are the same person, well not really, one of us is a copy of another :/
I survived duskmourn for a whiilee, then the moth let me go, concerningly.

That place isn't as labyrinthine as the Moth would like us to think. The question is: do you want my help in leaving, or in finding him?

A bold attitude. Necessary, I think, for true study.
I've spent time with Capenna's Phyrexians. Perhaps we could support each other's research.
Greetings, fellow wanderers.
You may call me Kasvi. I hail from Littjara, the misty realm between realms, and I seek only to explore this fascinating Multiverse.
Did you ever realize how striking a parallel can be drawn between the Multiverse as a whole and my home plane of Kaldheim? Now, even your Omenpaths bear the name that we of Kaldheim first gave them. It's fascinating, and I'm assembling a body of research on it. Planar cosmology and ecological development are my particular interests, as is the influence of mana on biology. I'm currently working on a paper about how World Trees drive planar renewal.
Now, the Multiverse has opened. Great bridges unfurl across the Eternities. What a wonder. (How accurate to my predictions too, if I may add.) I look forward to sharing my research with all of you!

Welcome back. It's good that you're safe, Roxie. And disappointingly predictable how others have reacted to your new states.
You should tell me if the house comes back to bother you. Until then, we have lessons to catch up on. I imagine we have new things to teach each other.

Xin. And I take no side—though I'm no friend to any church either. Seems we have that in common.
If the zealot comes for you, maybe I'll watch. Your practicality against his faith. I'm sure it'll be a sight to see.

Alright. I've spent enough time waiting around.
Braras Stromkirk. I have your location. I know precisely where you are at any given time. I am giving you this one opportunity to show yourself on your own terms and allow us to have a small confrontation.
If you do not reveal yourself within the coming days, I will come for you. I am not a force to be trifled with. I am not someone who takes threats lightly.
This is your one and only chance. Squander it, and I shall show you the mercy of the divine.

What remarkable diplomacy.
If the Legion has a hundred like you, I'm sure you'll start enough petty brawls to honour your Saint.

Also: it doesn't have beaches either. Only indoor pools.
What do you mean
nobody on Ravnica has ever seen a beach before? There have gotta be oceans here, right?

And Ravnica, planeswalker? What is it, without your family? Would it be easy to leave behind?
'Home.'
What does that word mean to each of you? You, who've had the opportunity to travel far in a changed Multiverse? Do you feel loyalty to the place or plane that birthed you? Or have you, would you, swap it out for a new life, with new possibilities?
Do you introduce yourself with where you're from? And have you ever looked homeward, and not wanted to go back?

A nomadic life is a truth. You'll have to tell me, years from now, how more time on Ravnica compares.
You're wrong on one count, though—the lithomancer, Nahiri. She's alive. I tried to speak with her after the invasion. She attacked. I left. The experience didn't teach me much.
'Home.'

Karrolin the Vithian it is then, for as long as the title holds meaning. Thank you for the answers. You've given me something to consider.

Survival. A sentiment I'm familiar with.
If you did leave Grixis, though. If you escaped to easy paradise and left Alara behind, would you still call yourself Vithian? Or would you leave the identity behind as well?
'Home.'

I know what it's like to have to leave your past behind. It's good, that you found a future to replace it. Starting again is never an easy thing to do.

An answer for an answer.
My home is gone, three times over. Vedalken stole my people away to Lumengrid, a seat that Phyrexia would one day steal from them. Now even Phyrexia has been buried, its suns taken from it.
If identity can't be taken from you, then perhaps I'm still Mirran. And if I became Phyrexian the second time I was conquered, then perhaps, conquered again, I'm Zhalfiran.
But maybe your idea is better. Maybe home is wherever I spend my time. If that's the truth, then to a traveller like me, maybe everywhere is my home.
Maybe.
'Home.'
