Death turned to Moon, looking surprised that she was even here. They looked over the crowd once more, only to spot Pax speaking with other demons. Then, returning their gaze onto Moon, they merely gestured for her to follow them out of the crowd.
When they were in a more open space, Death spoke.
I don't know why both you and Pax are here, but right now is terrible timing. A group of angels have attacked the realm whilst Lucifer had left to speak with the higher beings back in the Celestial Realm. Nobody knows if this was a thought-out plan to remove Lucifer from the picture so the realm is made vulnerable, or if these are angels acting out of order and the timing was just coincidental.
That's all I know.
Pax appears at Xinalith's manor in the infernal realm, all be is begrudgingly.
The manor looks to have been destroyed.
The ceilings and walls are severely damaged, a large chunk having collapsed inside and crushed several imps. Embers originating from Xinalith’s magic lingered from when portals have formed to send the rest of the imps elsewhere.
Outside, a mix of demons and angels lingered on the ground, all seemingly dead. Other forms of residency have also been destroyed, meaning that life on this side of the infernal realm have either left or passed.
As for Xinalith, they’re nowhere to be seen.

BEFORE CURRENT EVENTS.
Xinalith had been working on their project, humming to themselves quietly. Whilst there wasn’t much to do at this moment in time, they took the opportunity to continue testing out different methods in how to implement magic into their demonic version. A few sparks of infernal energy would crackle in the air, either scorching themselves or causing mini explosions.
Each attempt resulted in failure. But every failure meant some form of progress. It just furthered their hypothesis on needing to mutate once more to allow another possibility of magic usage. If that didn’t work, then they’d be back to square one. They simply didn’t have the time.
With Aveira working under their belt back on Earth, they were at least gaining a constant supply of souls to collect. She would kill; they would teleport and absorb; they’d return and work. It was another endless cycle for them, and perhaps if they were younger, it would’ve been another thing to drive them to insanity.
But this time around, they didn’t have the time to complain. It was the easiest way to ensure progression. Maybe a few more pure souls and they’d be able to trigger the mutation. Though, even Xinalith didn’t know just how many they needed. This was all on the basis of blind luck.
Suddenly, a bang was heard. Xinalith paused for a moment, turning their head to listen better. For a moment, there was nothing, so they just assumed it was the imps getting up to trouble again.
But then, a crash. Several, infact. Xinalith furrowed their brows in irritation, and was about to snap their fingers and teleport to the main halls of the manor ready to scold, only for an explosion to be heard. This explosion caused their home to shake, as if there were some sort of disturbance with the ground itself. Clapping their hands, their puppet disappeared and so did they, reappearing within the manor.
However, their eyes widened at the mess. Rubble covered the floors, some of their imps being caught under the debris and instantaneously dying or struggling to get out. Their jaw clenched as they rushed over to some of the imps, the demon lifting whatever mess was trapping them to set them free, only to make a small portal to a random realm appear. Whilst it was a dangerous bargain, it was clearly the safer option than whatever was happening right now.
Soon enough, in the broken ceiling above, that’s when they saw them. Angelic beings, fluttering around the darkness, casting large balls of light to strike various sections of this side of the hells. An area that voyagers like Xinalith resided in, usually a much quieter and private area in comparison to the rest of the Infernal Realm.
Without thinking, Xinalith forced themselves to shift into their true form, a low roar ripping from their throat before they spread their wings. Flying up, they clicked several times before charging towards one of the angels, sharp teeth tearing into the angel’s flesh whilst their claws striked their wings.
It seemed that other voyagers around them had a similar idea, a large group of demons joining the defense as they flew into the scene. Demands all in infernal would fill the air as well as the defiant sounds of flesh tearing, fire and light exploding on impact, as well as the distressed calls of despair as some of them fell.
Various portals were created, creatures and imps alike being evacuated to different realms. Where they ended up, nobody knew. But right now, their main objective was to protect what was their home.

Upon the way there, there was just nothing. Eerie quiet, aside from the occasional burst from the lava pits.
However, as they got closer to their destination, a crowd of demons would be seen. Many injured, creatures with healing properties trying to cleanse the light infection, but struggling to do so. Other demons highly proficient in magic would be sending younger demons to realms for evacuation purposes, whilst others were frantically speaking with one another as to what’s happening.
More dead angels and demons would scatter, some floating in pools of lava before sinking, others hanging on the edge of bridges. A few stronger demons would be flying around and casting barriers over this group, ensuring that if more attacks happened, they’d at least have one layer of protection. Others, however, would be flying off to various parts of the realm, most likely to observe and see if there were any more in need of help.
On the bridge leading towards this group would be a part of Xinalith’s skeletal tail. The tip, the very one that they use to help them get around if they’re unable to use sound for echolocation.
Amongst the crowd, Death would be spotted. They seemed to be speaking with a few of the higher ranking demons, who was giving them an update as to what was happening.

The imp took this as an offence and pulled the sketchbook away from Mac, hitting his face with their tail.
A tiny imp has appeared! But they landed right on Koji’s head. It’s not very comfortable for them, and they start to panic at the sudden height.
He winced at the feeling of something..on his head. He felt them shifting around and he quickly grabbed them, setting them on the floor.
Are you alright? You fell a bit hard.

Signatures found from Moon’s investigation would show several portals had formed in this very space. The largest surge of magic would be transformation. After that, no other signatures would be detected.
It looks like Xinalith had shifted into their true form after they evacuated their remaining imps and left.
As for the outside, a blend of both light and infernal magic can be detected. Most of the infernal magic there were from other demons with a similar amount of power to Xinalith.

They jump around with the book, no longer bothered by Mac. They’re just happy to see Xinalith again!

The imp gently places the egg on a random piece of grass they found, tapping the top lightly before they hop up onto the booth. Then, they wrap their arms around the large egg, trying to pick it up.
It isn’t going very well.
A tiny imp as suddenly appeared! They look around confused before scampering towards the market. It looks like they’ve taken an interest in whatever goods are there…
~ the creatures are still setting up and look at the imp confused. Assuming it to be a new pet of Moon's, they paid it no mind and continued on ~

Staring at the drawing, they clap their hands and giggle, hopping and twirling on the spot. Yes, they know them!
They take the sketchbook and hug it. It seems that Xinalith looks after them.

FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT
The imp picks up a few little rock’s and throws them in the air, confusing them for confetti. Except they all just land on their head, making them dizzy.

They start to jump around on the shelf before they’re picked up again, now choosing to bite Koji.

They crash into a chair, their body swaying in a daze. But then they jump up, bouncing on their feet once more as they make more sounds of disgruntlement before they jump into Churro, this time biting him!
A little imp has appeared! They try to fly up but their wings are too small in comparison to their body, so they end up falling flat on their face.
Though, the ground seems tasty…
churro, who was chewing on some cables, stopped what he was doing at the sound of the imps falling. she turned to face them...
... WEIRD.

THE MASCOTS ARE FIGHTING?
An imp is here to entertain you! They seem to have found a little flag and are waving it. They’re cheering for their friend.

The imp makes a little squeal as they’re tossed in. It… doesn’t seem like it’ll end well for them.
An imp has appeared! They’re sitting on Pax’s bed, looking confused. They blinked a few times before they got up onto their feet, realising how squishy the mattress is. So… they’re now using it as a trampoline.
No! Absolutely not.
Pax huffed, picking the imp up, off the bed. But then he paused.
You're one of Xinalith's aren't you? Why are you here?
