Beeodiversity- Group project for pop-up shop

Bee-o-diverse is a pop-up shop to raise people’s attention to protect the decreasing bees by showing different products relating to bees, including a bee hotel, bee hotel toolkits and instruction sheets, a beehive, honey jars, posters, flyers, and our logo stickers. Bees help biodiversity and allow us to get better quality of food. We gave a hand to sell products that can help bees locally by providing them with better places to rest in parks and gardens in London.

Never too small- Garment bag chair at bay window

Faced with the dilemma of rising rents and an insatiable desire to consume, Hong Kong residents living in 10-square-meter homes are increasingly feeling stressed. To solve the problem of insufficient clothing storage, people often hang garments over the bay window, though this sacrifices the comfort of natural daylight. The Garment Bag Chair addresses both issues: it allows residents to store off-season, rarely used, or hard-to-store accessories, while its semi-transparent material allows them to showcase their favourite pieces to add their personal touch of style to the room. From this, residents can sit on a soft chair wrapped in their favourite patterns and enjoy the sunlight by the window once again.

Game Knee Keyboard

It is a knee keyboard for people with tiring postures while they are playing computer games. People tend to raise their legs up to the computer desk which causes imbalance of the normal Bluetooth keyboard. Here, the knee keyboard includes all the commonly used keys in games, with elastic strips tied around the knees to enhance the gaming experience in a relaxed posture.

Whale Jumping lampshade

The finished outcome is a lampshade inspired by whales jumping out of the sea. lt is a decorative product that people can put in their home. The shape of the lampshade is suitable for slimmer light bulbs. l used bamboo canes to construct the main skeleton, finishing with voile to diffuse the light. The making method is inspired by the traditional fish lanterns used to celebrate the Chinese Lantern Festival.

Suit the case

My design practice mainly explore the possible solutions to optimize wasted spaces occupied by suitcases in temporary accommodation that are normally tight of storage. The starting point of the one sheet project is to find renter-friendly solutions, like add some portable furniture in the small-rented room without permanent installation and damage.
