Weight Watchers for Beginners
Raise your hand if you’ve birthed three kids & you’re trying to get your body back right. *raises hands & waves it in the air*
Ya girl did! But hey, our bodies are pretty bad ass right?! Bringing life into this world, CRAZY. But so rewarding. It took me a while to accept the stretch marks. I’ve read all the influencers talk about how they’re your battle wounds, your reward, your reminder.... but hellllooooo do all of your friends not have kids and still have their perfect bodies?! Is the no sleep, constant cleaning up, soccer games at 9 am on a Saturday morning, spit up, gymnastics practice & the non stop questions that no one can answer without a venti Starbucks drink on the way to car line every morning a reminder enough that you’re now a mom? Let’s be real ladies, motherhood is HARD. R E A L H A R D, but so grateful to be in this journey with my crew.
That’s why I’ve made the (kinda crazy) leap into Weight Watchers to shred these pounds and feel not only confident in my skin again, but to be able to run after my 6 year old and not be out of breath. So I’m going to be tracking my journey, mostly for my own sake and accountably, but also for anyone else (mother or not) that may be interested. & if you are, or have any questions reach out to me!
Day 1: 10.21.19
What the hell am I doing?! I get 23 points a day, whatever that means right?! *jumps on Pinterest and immediately searches for weight watcher recipes*
Deep breath. OKAY. Not so scary! Apparently A LOT of the healthy food is zero, yep zero points.
I love to eat boiled eggs and hot sauce for breakfast. Like I could probably eat 12 but my stomach would hate me later trying to digest all that. (0 points)
For snack I had 1 cup of non butter popcorn. (1 point)
For lunch I had lentil soup. (1 point)
Then for dinner I sucked. Big time. But hey, it’s day 1... we can do this!
Daily Total: 2 points- but let’s be real, i blew it with dinner.
Day 2: 10.22.19
Breakfast: 1 scoop of vegan tropical strawberry shakeology. (5 points) mixed with 12 oz of unsweetened almond milk. (1 point)
Snack: 2 gala apples, sliced. (0 points)
Lunch: Lentil soup. (1 point)
Dinner: 2 scrambled eggs with milk (2 points), 1 biscuit (3 points), 1 1/2 slices turkey bacon (1 point), 1/3 cup grits (1 point)
Snack: 1 peanut butter VERB energy bar (3 points)
Daily Total: 17 points.
I won’t do this EVERY day. I know it’ll get repetitive but I will come on if I find a bomb recipe. Wish me luck!

MMXIII
I hope you know how incredibly loved you are. You saved me. In the midst of it all I had no idea how to become a mother, but you made it easy. We had our days, it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows. But looking back, you were my light in so much darkness. 20 years old and bringing a life into this world. But you, you made it all make sense. You became my best friend. You taught me to cheer on the small victories. You made me laugh when I wanted to cry. You have taught me every dinosaur to ever walk this Earth. You are so, so, so smart. You have no idea how incredibly proud I am to be your mother. I never had a friendship with G, so I am determined to have that with you. I never ever want you to feel like you can’t come to me. Everyone makes mistakes, and I promise I will never turn my back on you. I’ve fucked up more than you’ll ever know child, and I promise I’ll never belittle you to make you feel unworthy of my love. You will have me in your corner always. I hope you always keep your carefree spirit. I hope you always find the good in a bad situation. I hope you forever continue to love your sisters, and take up for them. I pray you treat all girls with respect. Open car doors, buy them flowers, love them gentle. You are a pretty great little boy. & Mommy loves you to the sky & back, more than anything. Always.
