How old was Fred when his parents started to abuse him? When did his Mutation manifest? Does he still have nightmares about the abuse? Did his parents force him to dress up like a clown when he was on the spotlight?

Hey anon, these questions make us a little uncomfortable. As stated before, we’re really not comfortable going into detail about Fred’s abuse. You're welcome to make your own headcanons, but we’d rather not talk extensively about this topic.

How abusive were Fred's parents anyway? Like, Daida Hibana abusive or Sabretooth abusive? Did he ever go to school? In what way was he bullied?

(Abuse and bullying tw for those who need it! I won’t graphic though-- I don’t really like talking about this stuff in detail, haha.)

Both of Fred’s parents got physical with him, but it was more often his dad. His mom was more emotionally manipulative, and both of his parents were equally just generally neglectful.

Fred did go to school for a while! He developed anger issues and tended to cry a lot too, coupled with being so much bigger than the other kids he was generally bullied for being a “monster.” Eventually he became a bigger monster just to protect himself.

Thank you anon! We do our best! As for the Brothers - 

Fred - Grew up in central Texas impoverished and under-educated, largely due to neglectful and abusive parents. He developed emotional issues pretty early on.He’s always been a big kid, and his soft heart made it easy to make him cry, so to keep himself from being bullied Fred became a bully himself. When his mutation started to manifest, Fred’s parents began to show him around at various rodeos, carnivals, any place that wanted a freaky display of strength. While this helped Fred develop some confidence in himself, it was largely a shallow development, and he still struggles with being seen as a freak.

Lance - Lance is not happy. At all. Lance regards his early childhood as ‘totally cruddy’. His mom struggled with her own issues (and not always well), his father was absent often. Most of his meals were TV dinners he learned how to make himself. Most of his mornings he got himself up for school. Most of his nights were spent listening to his parents argue until he fell asleep. Things kept on like this for a while, until Lance turned Twelve. He’d been feeling sick all week, and walked in to another argument. They dragged him into it again, and Lance, finally tired of it, told them to keep him out of their issues.His father turned his ire to Lance and his disrespect, Lance snapped back that his father didn’t DESERVE any respect.He remembers his mother flinching before the hand made contact.He remembers something in him finally snapping, disinterested and acceptance turning to ANGER. He remembers crying hot tears, the house shaking so hard half the roof caved in. He remembers frantically grabbing his things and running as his father called the cops. He spent a stint in foster care, after the system was unable to find a Lance Alvers (The surname taken from his maternal grandfather) anywhere.He bounced around homes, juvenile hall, and schools, finally ending up in Kitty’s. And we all know how that turned out

Todd - Born to a teenage mother, given up to CPS at a fairly young age. He moved through several foster homes, and was bullied pretty severely because his mutation was evident at birth. This also made it hard for him to keep a home. He struggled (and continues to struggle) with his self-image and his feeling of worth, which led to a lot of neglected hygiene and welfare that his own powers didn’t help with. As his mutation began to fully manifest,  Eventually Todd ended up in Bayville and became largely transient, staying in school mostly for the food…and the opportunities to steal.

Pietro - You got some of Pietro’s in the fic! But the full timeline was a pretty happy childhood, with Wanda and their father. And then their powers emerged. It was fine for a while, until Wanda’s powers surged during a petty, childhood argument. He doesn’t even remember what it was about, what he said to make her so upset. He does remember the damage they caused, the fear in his sister’s eyes as she realized what she could do. That what happened next was a blur, that they left her, as much as he didn’t want to, as much as he tried to stay behind before they were pulled apart. Pietro was inconsolable, but at LEAST he still had his father. However sparsely he was around, however much they moved. And before long he made friends with Evan. He was happy, for a time.You all know how that went. When he was… ten, eleven? His father started leaving him home alone more and more often, growing into stints that were weeks, then months at a time. And that’s how it was until where we meet him in the blog!

A lot of these details are specific to this fic for its own narrative purposes, of course, so take these with a grain of salt!
