@xndeniable· liked this post for a starter — based on this.
“i know you’re just dating her for show, but i still hate seeing you two together.”
hearing that did play into quinn’s annoyance. how many times did they have to have this conversation? being in the public eye, quinn needed to keep up a persona. dating someone like the other wasn’t going to look good for her. she needed to keep a low profile, but one that was admirable. “i’m not going to stop seeing someone because you don’t like seeing it,” she responded harshly, rolling her eyes and then trying to settle herself down. she was prone to anger quickly, but it could dissipate just as easily. “in this industry, everyone’s watching what you do.”
scout was hanging in disbelief and uncertainty of her previous words. quinn was her person, and she was her person. but, it didn’t feel like it anymore. “i feel invisible beside you. when we’re together, even with no one else around...i feel invisible.” scout had always been supportive of quinn’s career--proud, even. however, scout’s insecurities were starting to get the best of her. “it’s hard for me to put myself in your shoes, to see why it’s happening. just try to understand why it’s hard for me too.”

you ruined new york city for me plots
if you’re gonna lie — i’d rather hear you lie than to hear you say goodbye to me
muse a knows that muse b is cheating on them. late nights, missed dates, names murmured in their sleep. they know it has to end, but there’s something so intoxicating about muse b that muse a almost doesn’t care how much it hurts them to still be in this relationship. part of them can live with pretending that everything’s fine, as long as muse b comes back home to them eventually.
undrunk — at 5 in the morning, I would un-fuck you
muse a was hurt by muse b deeply, and yet still as they try and get over the heartbreak, they find themselves still falling into muse b’s bed over and over again. they know that muse b is moving on and that they’re being used, but still muse a can’t stop themselves.
all love — you ask how I’ve been, i say I’m doing fine but I’m lying
muse a & muse b were the couple which everyone thought would never fail. in love, loving life, and at the core of that always the closest friends. but they grew apart and broke up, muse a never really stopping loving muse b but wanting them to be happy. now muse b is back in muse a’s life, with a new partner who looks like muse a, and as much as muse a wants to let muse b move on they can’t help but feel that maybe muse b still loves them too.
about you — why does my mind go back to when you used to hold me?
muse b left months ago. muse a is getting better, they really are. they’re starting to go back to all the places they used to go with muse b. but then they start seeing reminders of muse b everywhere, even what they think are glimpses of them in all their old haunts. convinced that they’re imagining things, they try and go back to their normal life, only to find muse b waiting on their doorstep.
strangers — how two people once could be so in love, now we never talk
muse a and muse b were childhood sweethearts, each others first kisses, their first times. they were as in love as they thought two people could be. but then muse a wrecked it, leaving muse b heartbroken and trying to heal. muse a is determined that they should be able to go back to being friends, but muse b is pushing them away at every single turn.

❄️ PLOTS FOR THE HOLIDAYS / WINTER SEASON !
here are some shippy plot ideas to ring in the holiday / winter season !!! some of these are adaptable for any season so feel free to adjust as necessary !
ANGSTY :
MUSE A brings MUSE B home to meet their parents for the first time during the holidays. unfortunately, things don’t go well and MUSE B runs out of MUSE A’s home crying. MUSE B waits outside for MUSE A for five minutes in the freezing cold thinking they will follow them out before realizing that MUSE A isn’t coming. when MUSE A finally comes home, MUSE B is yelling or giving the silent treatment ( depending on how muse would react ). if you want to make this end on a cuter note, MUSE A stopped by on the way home with an ‘i’m sorry’ gift and explains that they stayed behind to resolve things with their parents, etc.
MUSE A and MUSE B are about to get married when MUSE B’s ex reappears in their lives with a child in tow, claiming that it’s MUSE B’s kid ( whether it is or not is up to you ). will the wedding go on ? ( this isn’t really holiday specific … just suddenly had this plot in mind )
MUSE A decides to propose to MUSE B right before the holidays but MUSE B isn’t ready and says no. MUSE A is devastated but MUSE B reassures them that they just need time. however, when MUSE B is finally ready, MUSE A decides they’re not the one anymore. how will MUSE B convince MUSE A once again that they’re meant for one another ?
FLUFFY :
MUSE A and MUSE B just had a baby and it’s the first christmas they’re all celebrating together. MUSE A buys matching christmas sweaters for all of them to wear together while they decorate their first tree together.
the heat just went out so we’re cuddling together to keep warm
opening christmas presents together on christmas day
drinking hot chocolate and cuddling while reminiscing about the year and their dreams for the next year
( pregnancy plot ! ) MUSE A and MUSE B have been trying for a baby for a long time with a lot of difficulty. shortly before christmas, MUSE A discovers that she’s pregnant and wraps the positive pregnancy test in a box as MUSE B’s christmas gift.
( POTENTIALLY ) SMUTTY :
MUSE A and MUSE B are two best friends who decide to spend new year’s eve celebrating it simply –– with a movie marathon and wine. however, too many glasses of wine later and the attention has long shifted from the movie and instead to each other. maybe it would be fun to ring in the new year in a special way instead.
coworkers who hate one another, MUSE A and MUSE B oddly find themselves hitting things off with each other at the christmas holiday party. maybe it’s the alcohol, maybe it’s the bonding over a bad party, whatever may be the reason, the two of them end up going home together that night. will the next morning be a morning of regrets ?
“ i’ll give you the best christmas gift ever ” ; ]

Conversation
hostile first encounters
"The fuck are you looking at?"
"Can you not look at me like that?"
"Did you just grab my ass? Seriously?"
"That was the worst pickup line I've ever heard."
"Go back to the sewer you crawled out of, creep."
"Stop checking me out. It's gross."
"This is my good suit/dress/blouse! Do you have to be so clumsy?"
"This is the worst blind date I've ever been on."
"Well, mark this as my first and last blind date."
"We could be having sex right now if you stop running your mouth."
"Did you really think you could pick up someone in an outfit like that?"
"Leave me alone."
"That's it. I'm calling the cops."
"Fuck you too! Asshole."
"You just tried to hit me with your car/bike!"
"Do you ever get your customers' orders right or are you just trying to ruin my meal?"
"This is a very important meeting, and you are blowing it."
"Are you really going to just stare at me after I used my best pickup line on you?"
"You could shut up and buy me a drink."
"Why are you such a snob?"
"Oh, so you have daddy issues?"
"Just stop talking."
"You are making a fool of yourself."
"Are you always this awkward?"

“Why am I not surprised?”she said with a grin, trying to act as natural as she could in that moment. “Haha, you’re so funny,”Farrah muttered, rolling her eyes playfully. “I’m the whole reason for this party. The whole reason you get to have as much party food as you want,”she pointed out, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear. “So…My brother is making you stay here with all of us? I have to warn you, with no parents, things will get wild,”she playfully added.
“Why as you are the reason for why I am so content, I thank you deeply,” Greyson said, raising an eyebrow at the small girl in front of him. “Well, I must say I found the prospect of no parents to be, appealing, to say the least.” He teased. “Besides, who wouldn’t want to celebrate leaving the hell hole that is high school?” Greyson stepped away for a second to scan the area, “So tell me, Farrah, what are your plans since you’re out in the world?”

Jude shrugged. “Probably not. I mean..loving people isn’t really my thing,”he admitted. Sure, Jude was in love with the girl. However, there was no way he would admit that anyone, especially himself. If he loved her, he could get hurt. So, it was better if he just hurt her now instead of letting her hurt him later. “I don’t know…It was fun hanging out..making out. I mean, you’re hot so….”
Amy nodded and quiet thought to herself. A part of her wanted to break on him and start yelling. She knew it wouldn’t be appropriate. Amy turned on her heel and was ready to walk away when another thought came to her mind. “Since ‘loving people’ isn’t your thing, what is?” She asked, with her head turned to the side. Amy truly cared about Jude, and she knew in her heart maybe this was the right thing to do. “I just can’t imagine this was the best option, that’s all...”

based on this plot ♡
Julian had been travelling the country for just over a month. He left his job, left his home and decided to wander around the country with a new outlook on life with his golden retriever, Misty. Now, he made his stop for the night, finding himself a nice motel that was pet friendly for Misty and somewhere where he could get a good nights rest after driving for ten hours. Popping into a local diner, he wasn’t usually one to eat at diners but since being on the road - he was getting used to the new lifestyle he was accustomed to. He sat down in a booth, folding out a menu as he gave the waitress a small smile - she was beautiful to say the least. Julian rolled his eyes as the man out the back of the kitchen kept raising his voice at the young female, she seemed to be doing well at her job and didn’t deserve it. “Uh just a burger and friends please, hold the tomato.” A small smile on his lips as his dark brown eyes gazed up at the girl, giving her his menu and a generous tip. “Here, seems like you deserve it.”

Amy was picking up little jobs here and there to make ends meet. Her paintings weren’t selling as well as she wanted them too, but she was making due. She hadn’t spoken to her father in a week or so, still sending home money to keep his electric on. Amy took the night shift to get her mind off things. These nights were normally slow and dreary. They weren’t her favorite, as she normally worked as the only waitress. The type of men who come in are quiet, and most of the time suspicious. However, when someone who caught her eye came in - she was intrigued. The sound of her boss yelling in her ear made her keep the talk short. Amy retrieved his order and quickly scribbled it down. As she took the menu, she gazed into his eyes as she saw the money with it. Her eyes widened and a smile tugged at her lips. “You really don’t have to do that..it’s just my job, y’know?” She turned on her heel and handed the order slip to her boss in the back. A few moments passed before his meal was ready, and she brought it to his table. Her boss stepped out for a smoke so she knew it was her time to talk. “You know, it’s not every day when someone as fresh-faced as you comes in here in the middle of the night. Mid-life crisis, road trip? What’s the story here?”

based off of THIS
shayne knocked on the door. he knew that his best friend was working the night shift, he had been texting him the majority of the night. his best friend had been worried about his partner. they fought last night and they left, shayne came to rescue as his best friend had asked him to pick up his partner. but once that happened one thing led to another and the two had fooled around in the backseat of his car. it was something he wasn’t proud of, but he needed to see them. he waited for them to open the door as his fingers danced over the door pressing another loud knock on the wood.
scout wasn’t proud of what happened. and frankly, she didn’t want to talk about it again. the fight with her boyfriend made her miserable. she really hated fighting with him. scout hadn’t spoken to her boyfriend since the fight, but she knew she could depend on shayne. when the subtle hum of knocking rang her ears, she went to open the door. “well if this is a friendly face, i am very happy to see one.” she said, opening her arms up for a hug.

dreamrealized:
Reo was waiting, the rink was near by and Uno had convinced him to come by to have dinner tonight with everyone, so Reo was just waiting for practices to end before heading over. He knew he always hated when people interrupted so he didn’t want to be that guy to them either. The wait wasn’t anything memorable, mostly just him messing with hose shoe laces, until someone approached and Reo looked up. As upset as he probably should have been to see the other a sort of bittersweet happiness grew in his chest and Reo couldn’t help the slight laugh and smile on his face as he looked back down. “What are you doing around here?”
Everett nodded seeing Reo’s face. He studied it for a moment, remembering the last time he saw it - it wasn’t the same. “Well normally, in this neck of the woods, I am in a lot. I don’t live too far from here, but more down this way for an appointment.” Everett didn’t want to draw too much attention to himself, as he was still testing the waters. “And yourself?” He asked, putting his hand behind his head, trying to be welcoming with his words.

Open to Females 25+
“I didn’t stutter.” Tobias answered as he looked at her across the dinner table, the wine between them now warm from the amount of time they had been sat there. “I want a baby…I want to start trying for a baby why is that so hard for you?” He didn’t get it, they were married and happy but every time he brought up the subject of becoming an actual family she froze up. “I thought you wanted kids…I always wanted to be a father you know that. I’m 30 I don’t want to be an old dad…”
Her heart hung in her chest. The feeling she’d been trying to avoid for the past few months hit her like a brick wall. Amy wanted children, but it was never the right time for her. She felt an obligation to perfecting herself before she was ever read for kids, but now the possibility is greater than ever. “Tobias...” she hesitated, tugging at the end of her shirtsleeves, her nervous giveaway. “I do want kids, but with my dad and I, I just never feel...ready enough?” Amy knew Tobias would be the gleaming image of parenthood, and she wanted it with him. “My question is, when will it ever be the right time?”

Plot (except she graduated high school)
Farrah smiled as her friends piled into the beach house her parents had rented for the summer to celebrate her high school graduation. She knew her brother was coming home from college to watch over the girls to make sure they didn’t do anything too crazy. However, she hadn’t expected him to bring his best friend. The moment he walked in the door, her little girl crush seemed to resurface. “Oh uh hey…what are you uh doing here?”
Lane came along for the ride to his best friend’s family graduation party. He was in and out a lot, but he hasn’t seen most of his friend’s family for awhile. It was a matter of events which weren’t up to him, but when he saw Farrah’s face he knew why he was there. A smile formed on his face as she approached him. “To be honest, I came for the free food. Your family really knows how to do party food. He said, looking her up and down. She’d changed since the last time he saw her. “Why are you here, again?” He asked, knowing the answer.

“I don’t know what you want me to say,”he told the girl in front of him. She had demanded something from him that he couldn’t give. Love. “You don’t know me…you think you do but you don’t. I can’t give you love. I can’t…tell you things. So, just stop trying to force it,”Jude told her, feeling a tightness in his throat grow with every word. Sure, he cared for the girl, but he couldn’t love her. Not in the way she deserved.
Amy wrestled with her thumbs, trying to keep away her emotions from resurfacing. She knew there was a part of her heart that belonged to Jude. It was as if the words he said seemed to break it away, but she knew it’d always be there. “Was there ever a possibility to even begin with?” Amy said, taking a deep breath in between. “Why take this long to tell me though?”
