Things that really pmo in the DBZ Fandom Part One

Note: Just because these things PMO doesn't mean it's bad, I merely am pointing out something and hoping people would improve is all, any related asks or harassing comments will be smited off the page. Please be mindful and respectful when engaging thanks! :) also if this sounds Carthric it's because I was spacing out and tired writing this. I do however want to preface this is me ranting and if you have a problem scroll past. Leaving behind comments to defend yourselves proves my points I make, I do respect those who enjoys what I said, but most of it stems from the fact people won't respect others, and it's gotten to the point people have also decided to harass those who want to talk about their Worldbuilding.

The main issues I always had with this fandom is a lot so here's the things that really grinds my gears.

The idea of "fanon vs canon" or if you're not following Abridged or reading canon then you aren't a real fan.

I know some of it's become jokes, but there's a few people who are dead serious and take it way to far, and these people need to catch a grip.

If you don't ship "Popular Fanon Ship (Or Canon Ship)" then you are dead to the fandom and we do not want to interact because you're strictly an OC x Canon enjoyer.

The hate I see people receive just for stating certain ships are not their cup of tea is ridiculous. You're not entitled to interact but some people work very hard on their works, and only for the people to shit on them and then go to their page to tell them "Stop using OCs then we'll read your shit" is very hurtful, this community has a allergy to OCs unless they are a Bulma x Vegeta Fankid or whatever Canon character x another fankid it is, there's tons of OCs that people have but people shut down.

If you're not shipping what everyone else is shipping then you're not worthy of engagement.

There's a few couple of "fanon ships" that were caused by Abridged and it's ridiculous to see how many people still assume that everyone's seen or heard of it. I know, I know hyper fixations but people push way too hard with Launch x Raditz (Which actually is tied to Abridged because the VA of Abridged Goku made that shit popular.) newsflash: If a famous YouTuber never made that ship recognizable you wouldn't have shipped it to begin with (Don't also pretend you would. Most would've paired Launch with Tien or Yamcha still and Raditz with no one.) the fact that most people in this fandom considers someone worthy is if they would just write canon shit or shit no one cares about. I love crackpairings but forcing others to change a part of their works just to get a false following is not the way to go.

Assuming someone's own work is or is similar to that of "Abridged"

I have had issues with people comparing my works to other content like Abridged which is an issue with this fandom, anytime you'd think of a idea (Which I have to preface I NEVER seen Abridged.) people are always like "Oh so like Abridged?" I cannot fathom how Abridged thinks of EVERY SINGLE THING when it comes to content. Most people forget Abridged isn't serious it's comedy, whenever I write I tend to edit out parts of the characters personalities and fix them. TFS is very talented but the glazing and constant bullying/pestering of people who make content "adjacent" to DBZ is ridiculous. "But it's flattering-" most people don't want their works to be compared to others, I myself included, because writing and creating things is the only avenue I have and it makes me feel inferior like drawing to have my shit compared. People don't have a filter at all.

Sincerly. Fuck you. I have had it with people doing this shit and headcanoning stuff only for them to turn around and pull shit out of their ass explaining how they are Gay, It's okay to say it's a headcanon, but explicitly stating it's canon and the evidence doesn't add up. Is gross.

Many people have had concerns relating to it, such as in @dbz-fandom-confessions have also published someone pointing something out about Yamcha related ships. Most people get carried away with headcanons that they get so obsessed with calling other people bigots just for portraying an openly straight man in a relationship with a female for a change? The fact that some communities foster such anti-heterosexual couples and have issues with anti-women never fails to amuse me, if you have a preference for MLM relationships you're allowed to, but forcing people who ship one thing to drop everything to ship a nothingburger ship based on one line in a video game that has no romantic connotations whatsoever to bully others who ship other things OTHER then that is ridiculous.

As a gay man myself, do we have to ask about the lack of LGBTQ+ REPRESENSTATION in a franchise that given us intersex Cell, Namekians and asexual rep? Most IPs don't even give us PROPER ASEXUAL reprenstation and of course I know the Gay Rep is very lacking (cough cough, General Blue cough cough) but the market isn't that dried up now isn't it?

No one cares to do these things because you guessed it, Abridged or some other ortubirty reasoning that goes on the list of shit no one cares about.

Marysue's exist even though there's Goku, Vegeta and their kids right there.

Having Marysue's in Dragon Ball is like water being wet. It's not hard to point out how retarded (i can say this btw and reclaim it.) it is, because why the fuck are you complaining about shit like that? It's not like

Bulma Briefs is the most smartest and prettiest person there is, flaws are that she's a drama queen and brat, but in Super she has no flaws (MARYSUE)

Goku who literally had a power level that was supposed to be weak as shit but somehow he's stronger just by doing nothing, managed to make friends by a cheating version of Disney Princess Syndrome and mixed with MLP lessons, somehow isn't even implicated in reckless decisions because he's the Main Character and consequences don't exist for the Son Family because, either the OPS are wrong and it's likely because Goku was said to be Pure of Heart (even though he's comitted more crimes then a robber trying to rob the 12AM Train on a Sunday and failing because he showed up at 3AM.)

Need I say anything about Vegeta? His only flaws are his pride, but that's considered default for all saiyans the only difference is it's tied to his royalty background

What if the name "Eschalot" actually had some significance and NOT a revival of his species, what if that was the name of his mother and he wanted to honor her? Shame on you all for mocking him.

In all honesty I personally believe Eschalot was the name of his sister's baby before she miscarried, she named them Eschalot and Vegeta wanted to rename Bulla or name her that as in honor of his sister (who he believed was dead.)
