As a kid I used to put my basketball in my bookbag, hop on my bike, then ride out to Lower Merion and play on any court I could find just trying to be like Kobe. Lol - Aside from that my story isnt much different than anyone else from Philly back then. If you were a hoops fan 90% chance you were a Kobe fan. 10% chance you hated him. But we all embraced him and his greatness as a Philly legend. That's rare! Typically if you arent from one of the hoods in the actual city, you dont catch that love. But he managed to because he embodied our grit, swag, and ambition. Anyway back then we never realized how much he'd actually accomplish in the NBA and also in life! That Legendary Work Ethic and attention to detail produced massive success! It's been an honor to witness.
