Hey there, girlies, welcome back to my ✨blog✨. Today's topic is something that's very familiar to us, i think it's not something new- poverty in the Philippines. It's a tough one, I know, but we're all about keeping it real here. So, let's dive in. Poverty isn't just about not having cash; it's about not having enough for the basics – food, shelter, and a future. It's about kids who should be in school, but are out there trying to earn a living instead. It's about families who can't even remember what it's like to have three meals in a day. The big reason? Lack of jobs. Especially in the countryside, where there's land is plenty but scarce opportunities, poor people are stuck. They're working hard, but what's there to show for it? Not much. And education – or the lack of it – is like a broken ladder. Kids are trying to climb up, but they're getting nowhere. Without education, they're trapped in the same cycle as their parents, and that's just not fair. Now, homelessness – that's a whole other layer of the poverty story. It's more than not having a roof over your head. It's about lacking security, dignity, and a place to call your own. When you're homeless, you're vulnerable – to the weather, to danger, and to things that can literally end your life. it's sad to see them experiencing those problems in life. And those things are what makes me grateful to what i have now. Grateful that I've got a bed to sleep in, food to eat, and a chance to study. Sometimes, it's true that we need to be content with what we have and be thankful. At least we don't go to sleep worried, wondering how we'll survive tomorrow. It's heartbreaking to see kids working tough jobs just to eat, or doing illegal stuff out of desperation. If they had a choice, if they weren't hungry or in need, they wouldn't do it. But they swallow their pride because they've got families to feed. Sometimes, I wonder why it seems like those who can least afford it have the most kids...? I guess everyone has their own reasons haha.
But here's the thing – Don't lose hope, even in the darkest corners, there's light. There are people out there making a difference, one small act of kindness at a time. And that's what we've got to focus on. Change might seem slow, but it's happening. And we've all got a part to play in it. So, what do you think? How can we tackle these issues head-on? Drop your thoughts in the comments and stay tuned for more topics like this.
