But now, knowing that he has joined Akatsuki, even after he has killed Itachi, how was she supposed to believe that he won't kill Naruto the next chance he gets??

Guys...Just put yourself in her place...She was just trying to protect Naruto and Sasuke in her own way...Naruto's life was in danger and Sasuke was succumbing to darkness... If she would have really been selfish, then she would have just stayed in Konoha and enjoyed her life... But she went out of her way, because of her desire to do something for her teammates and not just sit back, even if it means She would be dead...

Also... about Naruto's feelings being hurt...Common man... Just answer this question.... What is more important ? Naruto's life or His love life???... I would choose his life anytime...

It's sad how majority of fandom remembers Naruto's breakdown(which was because of Sasuke...Not Sakura)... But completely forgets about her breakdown in Konoha... When she was in deep tumoil about get two teammates..

Antis: She decides to kill Sasuke. She gave up on him so easily. Naruto never gave up on him. She never really loved him. Her love was shallow. Otherwise she would have never decided to kill Sasuke.

Correction: She decides to kill Sasuke, the man she loves for Naruto, Sasuke and Konoha's peace, when he became an international criminal, joined Akatsuki(who were after Naruto's life), attacked 8 tails, attacked the Five Kages and was about to attack Konoha. She just wanted to save him from the darkness... It was explicitly told in the manga... We could ourselves see what it was doing to him... It wasn't giving him happiness... Just utter sorrow and pain... And even if he actually succeed to destroy everything... He would still be eternal sorrow... And Sakura understood that... AND SHE DID NOT KNOW ABOUT ITACHI'S TRUTH UNLIKE KAKASHI AND NARUTO...

And about Sakura giving up on Sasuke...

She never could...

And who Says that deciding to kill someone for their own sake and for greater good means that you don't love them?

Do you guys remember another character who did something very similar?? Uchiha Itachi...

He killed his parents and entire clan, just to stop them from committing a crime.... He gave up his happiness and killed his loved ones for peace and for Sasuke..

But no one ever doubts Itachi's love for his parents.

But again... Its perfectly okay to be a hypocrite whenever Haruno Sakura is concerned...

So dear friends, Unlike popular belief, Kishimoto did not do any injustice to Sakura's character... He has drawn her to grow into this amazing, strong, hot-headed, badass and selfless woman... It's the fandom who has disregarded and ignored her entire development... And still continues to do so...
