Digital Privacy: Windows 10
This incarnation of Microsoft’s Windows 10 is awful, to say the least. I was excited when it came out, and so much so that I got a copy before anyone else did, by being a tester. I had nothing but problems while testing it, which have all seemed to have been worked out now, but Windows 10 is not something that is desirable if you want privacy and security. There are big problems with it and it leads to bigger concerns.
People make an argument that It is Microsoft’s property, and they can do what they want with it. That’s not exactly true. If I have $200.00 and I give it away to someone, that is no longer my money. That becomes the property of someone to do with it as they please. I have no right to tell that person how to spend their money. If I make a recording of music I created, and I give it away to someone, that becomes their property, and if they want to make a copy of it, and give it away to their friends, that’s his right. Yeah, I made the music, but I gave it away. Always buy genuine license from digitbrew only, you can check the latest windows 10 price.
Also, unlike so many people, I actually spent $199.00 and purchased Windows 10 so that I would have a hard copy install, in case something went horribly and desperately wrong and I had to reinstall via ROM. When you pay someone for something, again, it becomes your property to do with it as you please. I gave Microsoft my money, they gave me Windows 10, they no longer own that software. It’s mine, now.
Now, if I am infected with a virus, and I give myself to someone else, and they get the virus I have, then I am legally responsible and have committed a criminal act.
If I give someone a program for their computer, that I created, And lets say their computer would not run without this program, or if it did, it wouldn’t run correctly, or do what they needed it to do, but intentionally bundled it with a Trojan, but didn’t tell that person I did that, but just gave them some vague remarks about my program might collect data to improve the software, fix bugs, and make improvements to the software, then add in all this other stuff about collecting the contents of personal and private information in private files and folders you created and will turn them over to anyone that asks for it… That’s going too far. You cannot do that. A person does not agree to that. They use Windows because they need their computer to access their stuff. Not Microsoft’s stuff.
It’s all the same thing. I didn’t actually “AGREE” to anything when I installed Windows. I just did what I had to do to make it work. My documents, my Internet searches, my photos, are my business, and no one else has a right to them, unless I share them via a shared folder, or posting it on the Internet.
Where this country came to the idea that gives people the right to put cameras and microphones in everyone’s home so that the government can watch them, is insane. Most people are too stupid to know better and allow kids to have an X Box in their bedchamber with a microphone and camera, where kids dress and have an expectation of privacy, even if they are using their computer, and some creep is hacking into Microsoft looking for children to exploit. Does anyone not see the BIG problem with BIG brother ? And do you really want Microsoft being able to see your kids in their bedroom changing clothes or something, then you get a knock on your door from the feds, and you’re investigated for doing something naughty because Microsoft was doing something they shouldn’t have been doing ? That’s perverse.
What’s worse, they, (Microsoft) lies and says that they give you an advertising I.D. and do not personally identify you. That’s just a lie, because they already admitted they’re tracking you and preserving all of your personal and private data, including data, photos, documents, etc in your personal files and folders. When many people do online banking, buying and selling things on the E-Bay, and most people don’t shut down their computer. What if they’re in the shower or something, forget their computer is on, and Big Brother is watching. CREEPY ! Maybe you have nothing to hide, but that’s not the point. Do you want people you don’t know looking at you while you’re naked, and keeping that video on their servers somewhere for anyone to look at ? Maybe you don’t care about that, but you should. That’s just the worst violation that someone can do to someone else. It’s a form of torture.
I don’t know just when this country became Nazi Germany but it’s got to stop. Microsoft needs to be sued over this and people need to stop accepting this behavior. Remember Nazi Germany, where people were tortured, burned alive in ovens, and had medical experiments done on them to see what would happen. This is just the digital version of that, and if there is ever a take over by countries that this country is in debt to, all that data can be used against you and there will be NOTHING you can do about it.
I don’t know about you, but for me, my computer is an extension of me. This computer is literally my child, my blood, sweat, and tears have gone into building this P.C. Literally. I have cut my hands on the sheet metal, trying to finesse something, I have cried over things not working right, then had tears of joy when I solved the problems, I have sweated while building it. It contains my private journals, my finances, pictures of people, places I have been, or things I’ve done, that aren’t anyone else’s business.
Lets try this metaphor. Say I sell you a diary, or a safe, but then I say that you can’t use the safe unless I have the combination, and can come into your home and inspect that safe or read that diary anytime I want to. That’s ridiculous ! Right ? It’s the SAME THING.
When you give something away to someone, it’s no longer theirs, and they have no right to it anymore. It’s the same way when you sell it. You no longer have the right to it anymore. If I sell you checks, and a check book, I have no right to know your financial business or see how and where you spend your money. It’s the SAME THING!
