God, you are something else. I have some time to plan it all out. I would rather be gone during the lull prior to the holidays rather than dead in the middle of all things happening here. But I will keep you posted on what I end up doing. That will obviously change what time I need off of work and such. I am just happy that it has warmed up. So whether it is the food, getting to tan, I love it.

That's what I heard! It's too late, I've told my mother and she's busy stitching it into a pillow for me so that I can remember forever that you said it. That, I can understand. It's tough to plan anything far from home when you don't want to be… you know, far from home for some of the things that happen in town. It's all about that balance, I suppose! Do, please. I'm torn between wanting the greasy carnival food more, or some time in the sun. Getting to do both ends up being a pretty solid win, in my book.

I know people competitive enough, that I would not be surprised if someone was keeping time or bets were going. Either way, not my thing, personally. The obstacle course, not the competition. But me in a volleyball game and I will kick your ass.

That's probably what a lot were doing, it's kind of hard to go off anything else when there's really no other way to know. Unless there was someone secretly keeping track and you went and hunted them down but that doesn't sound like a lot of fun.

I agree! I'm pretty sure whoever invented the air conditioner is an actual saint. Like I don't know how people can survive without it! And it does, absolutely. And thank you so much!! I'm still on cloud nine!

I like it like this! It's not freezing, it's not scorching hot. That alone works for me. I like the happy medium. Yup! I wanted the extra excuse to leave early, but I had the least to bargain with considering Raf knew I did not participate at all. It was just funny seeing everyone come back exhausted, because usually I'm the one ready to hide and nap midday. I cannot imagine anyone is still recovering by the time the carnival rolls around. If they are, they may need to go pay Livvy a visit, at that point. But I am excited for the beach bash. Beach parties are some of my favorite events around here.

That's what I heard too. It's still cloudy often but at least it's not cold. I believe those were one of the rare times where I saw many of us choose to remain inside the office all day because moving wasn't the best idea. At least there's plenty of time to recover until the carnival. Even though I doubt anyone would opt against going even if they're still sore.

I am, actually! Maybe not to be outside in the hot weather. But it is a nice change from the cold. That always gets old after a while, you know? However! Weather aside! Some congratulations are in order! I love the ring!

No, no, no! Slow down! I did not say that! No! But yes, you did well. For your age, especially. Uhh.. I'm not sure yet. If I had it my I would probably head back to Europe. It's been a few years. But, I am not sure yet. I don't want to be gone too long either, especially if it is around the holidays. So, we shall see! I will keep you posted. Obviously. Not that I have a choice. The beach bash s always a good time! That has to be what I'm most looking forward to, coming up.

So what you're saying, basically, is that I am a God among men who should be revered and worshipped…? Because I'll take it. I'll also take the equally nice thing of saying that I did well and I'm in good shape, so thank you more sincerely for that. Any idea in where you'll be going for said vacation, or still throwing darts at the map to see where you land? I'm looking forward to that carnival coming up. I feel like I could use a good cheeseburger and fries.

I would have at least considered it. I mean, I feel like most people were just going off of whether they finished, or who they managed to do better than.

So, if there had been a chance to win some kind of prize you would have gotten down and dirty then? I did pretty good, kind of hard to know when there weren't official results but didn't feel like I was crashing out by the end.

Well, you trained. And you are in great shape for your age. Maybe also over some people my age. So, you did well! Same here. I look forward to taking some time off for an actual vacation at some point this year. But for now, I will take what I can get and enjoy everything happening here in town for the summer.

That's very true, and I like to think that I was. Not that I want to make it seem like it was an easy event, by any stretch, but I like to think that I put a lot of hard work in. It's better than no vacation at all, that's what I tell myself.

We're getting there! It's supposed to be nearly 80 degrees later in the week. It definitely looked tough. I would not have blamed you if you had taken time off. I saw some people that first day back that definitely looked like they needed the days. It only told me that I made a good choice for myself by not doing it.

No, it's not. I agree with you. The sun just needs to start showing up consistently. I did do the course and some part of it really was tough so you had the right idea for opting out. It reminded me that I should stick to an activity that's less heavy for an exercise. I was tempted to call in sick for a couple of days.

As long as you had a good time, right? I enjoyed it! Absolutely did not do the course, but it was a nice weekend away!

It was great! And it was rougher than I expected. Not that I had any idea of what it involved! Did you get to at least tag along!?

No. I don't do mud and dirt and athletic events that won't earn me bragging rights and a prize in the end. How did you fair with it all?

How did you end up fairing at The Challenge? Wasn't sure if you participated or not, seems like a good portion of the town got involved from what I could see. Kind of hard to take a full view of the people when you're ending up covered in mud and all other things.

Well that doesn't sound too bad! Easy recovery just means you were well-prepared. I had a good time as much as it was a nice little getaway. Perhaps not my ideal vacation environment, but I'll take what I can get.

Actually... not so bad. By the time Tuesday rolled around, I was feeling pretty good on my feet again. Just cut back a bit on the work-outs and runs this week to give my body a chance to recover, but I feel pretty human again, thankfully. Did you have a good time?

It hasn't been too bad of a welcome home to Merrock, if you ask me! I opted out of the challenge, in the end. It wasn't that appealing. How about you? Did you do the course?

That's great. Yeah, that's true. As long as it's not freezing cold anymore, I'll take the rain. I don't know if they'll let you do that but I highly doubt you'll get disqualified or something. I heard they're not picking a winner. It'll be just personal goals so… Anyone complains, you can tell them that your personal goal is just to try that one obstacle.

You're very welcome on both counts -- another successful birthday, hm? Thankfully, your birthday was pre-Challenge, because I am pretty sure that after today, I am going to be moving a little slower for a while, to recuperate.

How did you enjoy the trip? How was the obstacle course?

Of course! I was hoping you would like it! I think so too, I'm excited for it. Even just to get out of town for a bit. Oh me neither so I get it. And sweet!

It already passed. I lucked out, it was a nice day. I think we're finally in a good spot, minus the rain, but that's a constant. I can't be too mad, choosing to live here. Haha! That's not too bad of an idea. Do you think they would let me do that?

I think a lot of people will not be doing great if winter lasts way longer than it should. Hopefully the weather is playing nice when it's your birthday. Maybe you could do like half course or something like that? Do the ones that look interesting and completely skip the one that looks like a nightmare. Then, you can tell people that you did it, which technically won't be a lie.
