So I just saw a post by a random personal blog that said “don’t follow me if we never even had a conversation before” and?????? Not to be rude but literally what the fuck??????????

I’ve had people (non-pornbots) try to strike conversation out of nowhere in my DMs recently, and now I’m wondering if they were doing that because they wanted to follow me and thought they needed to interact first. I feel compelled to say, just in case, that it’s totally okay to follow this blog (or my side blog, for that matter) even if we’ve never talked before.

Also, I’m legit confused. Is this how follow culture works right now? It was worded like it’s common sense but is that really a thing?

Do you constantly think about how BBC Merlin randomly gave Arthur and Merlin a psychic bond which never comes back again until the very last episodes when Merlin communicates with Arthur telepathically through his dreams or are you normal

anyway just a reminder for the myth lovers out there

king arthur was welsh. merlin was welsh. camelot was in wales. the lady and the lake she pops out of; welsh. excalibur; magic inanimate welsh object. etc.

on the way to see family, i drive past a lake that in which is welsh legend, is the last resting place of excalibur.

i’m just saying in my experience a lot of these legends had been so anglo-fied in the past and it’s like, all this cool shit is celtic welsh legend.

Maybe the reason why I'm so feral for them is because of "you'll be coming back" and "I came to respect him for what he stands for, what he does" and "I trust Arthur with my life" and "he likes you" and "if he doesn't accept me for who I really am, then he's not the friend I hoped he was" and "you belong at Arthur's side, I've seen how much he needs you, how much you need him, you're like two sides of the same coin" all in the same episode back in season fucking one

i call bbc merlin a comfort show as if it weren't frustrating and traumatizing on like ten different levels, didn't kill off almost every single character, and didn't have the most disappointing, devastating, unforgivable series finale i've ever seen.

The reason they couldn’t do an earlier magic reveal is because if Arthur had seen the way Merlin’s eyes turn into pools of starlight when he does magic, Arthurs defenses would’ve fallen and allowed him to realize everything he ever needed was standing right in front of him and everything would’ve fallen into place for them to build the Camelot they dreamed of.

But this is a tragedy.
