Pokeshipping Week - Day Seven.
I love you, but we can’t be together. (Bonus set.)
Misty sat with her hands clasped in her lap. A nervous flutter filled her stomach as she swept her gaze across the view she had of the ocean, hearing the sounds of Pidgey's and Pidgeotto's throughout the air. The table she was seated at resided near the beach in a little restaurant that was tucked away out of the city. Misty loved it because it was family owned, and decorated with seashells and a sandy floor. And where she currently sat allowed her a spacious view of the outdoors, almost with a full guarantee of privacy. It somewhat resembled a balcony that came complete with a railing that overlooked the ocean for anyone who wanted to see it. And it was one of those places that you would have to be looking for to find, otherwise you wouldn't have known it was there at all.
She glanced down at her hands and placed them on the table, beginning to fidget with the items over the cloth in a nervous habit. It was making her feel ridiculous the more she did it. And the only reason for that was because she was expecting to see Ash for the first time in five years. She had no idea where he was most of time or what he was doing, and if she did, it was because she saw him on television somewhere. And it was strange to think that she would be seeing him in just a few minutes. At first she battled with anger and frustration out of how long it took him to pick up the phone, but then wondered if the frustration was from the apprehension over how much has changed in her own life. All because it wasn't as publicized as his was, which meant that she would have alot more to fill him in on than he would.
More specifically to do with the silver band on her left ring finger.
The wind chimes rattled as the breeze blew by in the midst of her thoughts. She wondered what he'd say to her. It was a call that came out of nowhere, taking her by enough surprise that he had to ask if she was still on the line. Misty could recall nearly dropping the phone. It took her a moment to respond, which was mostly in a clumsy rush of agreement before she could sit down and properly think of thinking in itself. After that, it was nothing but a strenuous week of agonizing stress and debate over everything that she'd eventually have to tell him. It was already ruined for her before his visit even began.
"Misty?" came a familiar voice. She froze at once and turned her head, seeing Ash only standing a few feet away. And then it was as if everything in her mind suddenly fizzled out from the sight in front of her.
He was more tall and handsome than she expected him to be, casually dressed in jeans and a white shirt that put his now broad shoulders on display. His hair was no longer concealed by his famous league hat either, but free to the wind as some of the strands lightly blew across his tan face. Which had a wide smile stretched across it. He was completely different from what she would see when he was on some television screen with a microphone being pointed in his direction. She was glad that no one seemed to recognize him after he arrived.
And Misty was barely up and out of her seat to greet him before Ash beat her to it in two long strides, collecting her into his arms.
"It's good to see ya, Misty." he spoke through a smile. He was nose-deep into her hair, breathing in her strawberry scent. It was a very unexpected act on his behalf because Ash was hardly ever the type to show any kind of affection whatsoever. But she literally welcomed him with open arms.
"It's good to see you, too."
He pulled back to get a closer look at her. And he wasn't just looking at her, but he was looking down at her. She felt the strange sensation of having to tilt her head up to gain a better view of him. And it didn't hit her until that moment.
"You're taller than I remember." she admitted.
Ash smirked. "Maybe you've just gotten shorter."
"Maybe you shutup and sit down before you end up shorter than me again."
He laughed as he slid into his chair, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Well, you certainly haven't changed."
It was Misty's turn to smirk as she took her own seat. He was staggeringly handsome in that moment as he casually sat opposite her with his arms on the table, and his fingers laced together. The excitement in his eyes also complimented the attractive smile on his face. It was difficult not to stare. But she was used to ignoring things like this. Or trying to, anyway. By now it only reminded her of all the comments from women she'd either read in magazines, or hear somewhere in places like the grocery store about how "devastatingly gorgeous" and "absolutely charming" he was. It made her stomach turn.
But again, she ignored it.
"I don't know about that. It's been five years, after all."
(This was too long to post here again, so I had to put it up on my fanfiction page with the rest. Feel free to check it out here and have a read. Happy Pokeshipping Day to everyone! n.n)

Welp, i guess i have to finish my pw prompts after the finals (they are taking all my time)
BUT there’s something i was thinking so much lately!
And it’s about this song:
Yeah yeah, you probably are super tired of hearing this everywhere.
But, for me, took my interpretation senses to the pokeshipping side.
Why?
First: how this sounds.
The genre of this song is kinda house (kinda because has some other music styles mixed in) but, it takes me to the late 90’s. That gives a nostalgic touch to the feeling. A feeling so strong.
Also something very important: the synth in the background sounds slow while the lyrics are fast. For some reason, that reminds me to something big and slow. Like, the Sea.
Second: the lyrics
Basicaly the song describes someone who has fell for his/her best friend. Someone who feels so atracted to the other that feels “electricity” when they are close.
And aplying all of these to the pokeshipping camp: Ash, thanks to pikachu, he’s always related to the electricity. A woman sings this song, so i can put the lyrics into Misty’s skin, and “translating” the feelings of this song to her desires to Ash. And the sound of “the Sea”, the 90’s vibe…
Idk. Maybe i just can’t stop relating everything with Ash and Misty.

Pokeshipping Week, Day 7: Mermaid Misty and Aura Guardian Ash
Happy Pokeshipping Day!
Tumblr media
This is one of my favorite themes for pokeshipping, and I wish I could’ve come up with some new material for it, but as it is, all I have is this piece from the vault, and the fic that goes with it.

Pokéshipping Week Day 7: Mermaid Misty and Aura Guardian Ash
So I wasn’t able to finish even this one piece for pokéshipping week. Shame on me! ToT But I still wanted to upload the early stages of this piece which could become a really good drawing. Once I finish it. I really liked this theme but I didn’t want to do some cute colorfull picture. Instead I developed an entire story that I should reaally write as a fanfiction. But until that happens here is a short summory of my thoughts.
Story: This happens in a version of the Pokémon universe in which there are actual mermaids or better called sirens. Humanity and sirens have always been enemies because sirens tend to lure humans to them and drown them. But sirens aren’t pure evil. They’re doing all of that because the humans destroy the ocean, steal their resources and kill their family members for throphies and their scales. Ash is a young aura guardian, assigned to protect the kingdom. His training is soon to be completed when another conflict between sirens and humans starts. Sirens are attacking the people at the port. During this fight Misty, one of the sirens, is being captured and brought into the castels dungeons. She hates humans more than anything since they killed her parents. Ash is also convinced that this “girl” is a monster, but Ash’s master orders him to watch over Misty. He’s supposed to get information about the sirens out of her. So every day he’s going into the dungeons to hear the curses of the beautifull siren in front of him. He tries to dive into her memories and as her condition worsens, he starts to empathize with her.
The story goes on but.. I guess this is long enough. I hope I’ll finish this piece sooner or later and who knows? Maybe I actually will write that fanfic.^^
Hope you enjoy this unfinished mess and happy pokéshipping week!

Misty: Ash! I found you at last!
Ash: Misty, what are you doing! You ruined everything! Misty: Huh?
Ash: Look, it says so here… Pokeshipping Week, day 2: evil/possessed Ash. Fans wanted you to see me evil-style.
Misty: Listen… you begged me to come here, then made me wander across the whole town with your wrong directions… I’m tired, hungry, sleepy… all for something that silly?! Who do you think I am?! Ash: H-how about a dinner at the restaurant? …It’s on me.
Misty: Oh? Wonderful, what are we waiting for?

Pokeshipping Week
Day Seven (7): Mermaid Misty & Aura Guardian Ash
“I want to protect you. So, I will protect you.”
I used one of Gustaf Tenggren’s illustrations for Grimm’s Fairy Tales (1923) as inspiration/reference for this one after a quick image search for old timey fairytale depictions. Specifically, this one.
I wanted to follow the outline for the play in the actual episode, The Misty Mermaid, where the Mermaid Princess is saved by a prince from a couple of treasure-hunting villains. Though, a key difference being that Ash is an aura guardian, who can be seen as more of a knight than a prince. So, maybe Mister Aura Guardian heard word of Miss Mermaid Princess being captured and came to her rescue because of his upstanding morals? Or he came upon her distress through sheer happenstance? Either way, I imagined this scene taking place after her rescue but they’re currently on the run, trying to get the princess back to her underwater kingdom.
Pikachu’s expression is supposed to be him readying for the on-coming aggressors. I was going to add some electricity but forgot till last minute and then gave up. XD Also, yay for haphazardly made backgrounds! I don’t know if they work since they’re all painted-like against the outlined characters! 8D
That’s the end of Pokeshipping Week 2018! I’m glad to have been a part of this again this year like the previous two and to all the other contributors: Great work on your own submissions! They were a joy to see!
As a final note, the running ‘pattern’ I had for this was Japanese. I wanted to do something like last year with an actual pattern overlay but couldn’t think of anything worthwhile. So, instead I went full weeb. Whoo~

Pokeshipping Week 2018 - Day 6
Roles reversed
She would become a Gym Leader anyway, but if she temporarily couldn’t go away, maybe someone could stay with her?
Quick drawing, but I still hope, you like it…

Pokeshipping Week Day 7: Mermaid Misty and Aura Guardian Ash
So I know I am not an artist. But here me out. I would love to see Mermaid Misty in the ocean, on a rock (from The Little Mermaid) with Togekiss in the air. Pikachu would be on land with Ash, whom is in his Aura Guardian outfit. The two of them are staring at the other, beat red. It would be really cute.
But with that, Pokeshipping Week 2018 has ended. I hope you all enjoyed all of the fanfiction and head cannons. I really want to come back to the Pokemon fanfiction and write a Pokeshipping story. But I won’t promise anything. So with that out of the way, ciao for now my tumblr friends!

Pokeshipping Week - Day 6
Role Reversal - Ash has to deal with Misty being the one to run off and save the day for a change.
-Car
oOo
“She’s been out there too long.”
Tracy looked up from his sketch and gave the pacing Ash a sympathetic look. “Ash, she’s only been gone for half an hour.”
“Well, that’s too long!”
“Pikapi…” Pikachu sighed, trying to calm down his trainer, but just as he had for the last thirty minutes, Ash was impossible to settle.
“You heard what the rescue team said, she could be out there helping for a while,” Tracy reminded him slowly, but as predicted, Ash wasn’t having it.
“And what? We’re just supposed to just sit here and wait?” he exclaimed, drawing the attention of more than a few trainers at the Pokemon Center.
Looking around uneasily at the unwanted attention, Tracy sighed. “They need us to wait by the radio in case of an emergency.”
Ash scowled, but sat down at the bench, crossing his arm in a huff. “We should be out there helping too so there isn’t an emergency,” he muttered under his breath, but he was sitting down, so Tracy took that as a small win.
Happy to have Pikachu and Tracy off his back, Ash let out a long breath and leaned back on the uncomfortable bench, trying his best to relax, but his mind wasn’t letting him. He picked up Togepi and set the egg in his lap, mulling over how they got in this situation in the first place.
Two men had rushed into the Pokemon Center, dripping with rainwater and looking on the verge of panic.
“Are there any water trainers here?!” one of them had cried, immediately grabbing Misty’s attention. They explained that they were part of the island’s Ocean Guard, and that due to majority of their team dealing with an emergency on the other side of the island, they were the only ones able to help a small capsized boat that had gotten stuck out at sea during the storm.
They just needed someone with strong water pokemon to help them, they elaborated. Both Ash and Misty had jumped up to volunteer, but the rescue boat was only big enough to fit one more person and still have room to fit the people they were rescuing.
Misty insisted she should be the one to join them,  and after hearing her credentials, the Guardsmen agreed. They gave the boys strict orders to sit by the one-way radio and be there if they needed help from the mainland, and they were off. Misty only pausing long enough to shove Togepi into his arms before following behind them.
“I shoulda gone instead.”
Tracy groaned. “Ash, she’s going to be fine. She’s a great trainer, and she’s with professionals.” He shook his head. “Man, you sound exactly like Misty does whenever you go off and do dangerous things.”
Ash pouted. “I don’t go off and do dangerous things…”
Tracy and Pikachu shared a look.
“Okay, maybe I do,” Ash admitted. “But that’s different!”
“It’s really not,” Tracy said tiredly. “She always does this same thing. Paces around, curses you for being so reckless, looks out for you every two minutes.”
Ash flinched sheepishly. “She does?”
Tracy nodded. “Yep. You’d think she’d be used to you doing stupid things by now.”
“Oh…"
Noticing the change in his demeanor, Tracy continued. “I mean, look at that incident with Lugia. She swam out in the middle of the ocean for you she was so worried.”
Ash blinked. “She did what?” he asked, clearly surprised.
“Ooh, I guess you were unconscious,” Tracy mused. “Funny, I thought for sure she would have told you. Yeah, after you got knocked out, she swam out to bring you back. How did you think you got back to land?”
“I guess I didn’t think about it…” Ash muttered, rubbing his neck. Misty had done that for him? Really? Why didn’t she tell him? That definitely seemed like something she would bring up to hold over his head. And yet…
“I never knew she got that worried about me,” he said quietly.
Tracy raised an eyebrow in amusement. “I’m sure she has no idea you’re this worried about her, either.”
Ash blushed slightly at that, biting his lip and looking out the window to avoid Tracy’s knowing smirk. He held Togepi tightly to his chest.
Maybe, just maybe, he would cut back on doing stupid things for a while.
