It is also interesting that despite the attractiveness of the lake, the usual tourist companions such as shops and souvenir shops are almost completely missing. At the lake and at the main road everything is trimmed for tourism and the shops mainly offer souvenirs. Therefore we decided to stay in this location because of the hotel and after a 4 hours drive we arrived back at the beautiful Lake Pukaki.
