occultober // ts4 occult cas challenge

Spooky day is just around the corner and with it the new expansion pack, so I though, why not celebrate this exciting month of October with a little cas challange!

Introducing Occultober , where -you guessed it- every day is a different occult!

Need I say more? I put together a callendar counting down to October 31st, filled with occults, both in-game and made up, to inspire you to create some ~spooky~ sims. Whether you go the full occult route, or design some costumes, go crazy with packs and cc, or challenge yourself and stick with only basegame (mad respect, I could never), it's all up to you! The only limit is your own creativity! and perhaps computer specs in some cases...

If you don't feel like committing to the full month, I highlighted a couple of the most basic occults which we already have packs for. Siren- IL mermaids, android- DU servos, witch- RoM spellcasters and vampire and werewolf are pretty self explanatory. Including the Grim Reaper, you can do one week instead, if you have the noncommittal trait!

Again, you don't actually need any of the packs, just be creative and have fun! Be sure to share your sims on the gallery and on tumblr using the #occultober hashtag!

Everyone knows that nobody throws a party like Marley. With his parents seemingly always out of town, leaving him all by himself in their giant house, what else is there to do over the weekend? While his parties are always a hot topic and all the school´s elite is sure to show up, nobody seems to acknowledge the talent it takes to clean it all afterwards.

Day 10 // 16 and preg

Cadie could´ve only been described as a wallflower. She didn´t stand out in any way and she liked it like that. Until she went a little loose at the last party and vanished around midnight. Some say the resident quarterback was nowhere to be seen either. Word travels fast in high school and once more girls started seeing her in the restroom in the mornings, rumors started flooding in. Needless to say, the once-wallflower is now the talk of Copperdale.

neighborhood confidante ∣ clumsy ∣ outgoing

Drama queen in the making Dylan somehow always has all the best scoop. Actually, she´s just very nosy, and judging by the amount of highlighter she uses, she´s pretty proud of it. She´s been in the theater club since freshman and this year fully intends to finally snag the lead in the school play… let´s hope she doesn´t faceplant in the middle of her performance again.

Curt is, well, mediocre. But don´t tell him that. He really tries hard, just… perhaps a little too hard. He has more hobbies than what he can keep up with and tries so hard to be cool that he simply comes off as tacky. You can count on him to be the first to jump on any new trend… only to kill it because he´s not nearly as cool as he thinks.

Day 8 // hipster

city native ∣ snob ∣ creative

City dweller Aspen always wears her reading glasses, even when they don´t need them, they ride a bike to school everyday and nobody´s ever seen her without her travel mug filled with coffee from the local coffee shop. Everything about them is predictable and always the same. Until she started hanging around the school´s influencer, who seems like their exact opposite. And it´s clear to everyone that the girl is more than just a friend to Aspen.

Gladys Sawyer ∣she/her∣

Nobody really knows much about Gladys. Most people streer clear of her, but thing is, she´s not much of a talker regardless. Probably the biggest mystery is the scar on her face. She kind of just showed up like that after the summer break. Some believe she did it herself, though everybody´s too afraid to ask. Why do they care so much anyway? Really, she just wants some peace to write her poetry about the meaning (or lack there of) of life.

Day 5 // freshman

This is it. First day of high school. Some kids might fear it, but for Mary Kate, it´s a dream come true. Finally, she´s no longer a child. She simply can´t wait to experience it all! Thrifting with her new besties, gossiping over boba and most importantly, her first crush! Oh, if only she knew what high school actually has in store for her.

Country boy Dakota admittedly isn´t the sharpest tool in the shed. Academics have never been high on his list of priorities. Finally, this year it all ends as he will be graduating. The family ranch with its many animals awaits him after all, and there´s always a lot of work to be done. He loves the lifestyle and even though his head might as well be filled with hay, his heart more than makes up for it.

Keaton probably isn´t your stereotypical cheer captain, but anyone would tell you there´s no better person for the job. While he might be the sweetest and friendliest guy when you run into him in the hallways, if you´re thinking of joining the cheer team, beware, he´ll accept nothing less than perfection and he won´t sugar coat it.

Day 2 // rebel

Isiah has a complete disregard towards rules and a huge attitude problem. He barely shows up to school, and on those rare occasions he does, you can expect trouble to follow. What does he do with his free time? Most would not expect cooking to be the answer, and yet, you´re looking at an aspiring cook who dreams of opening a vegan restaurant. Who would´ve guessed?

Day 3 // band kid

Young musician Jewel is a natural, but you won´t ever catch her playing a love song. The school band is her entire life and one way ticket to a prestigious conservatoire. With her mind set on her goal, you know she´s going to make it big one day. On the other hand, getting a partner is about the last thing she cares about.
