Circus Freaks
LA Buggy x Fem Reader
Previous Chapters: Part 1, Part 10
Tumblr media
Previously: Kija tells his son about the island's history. Specifically, the reasoning behind the Kisha's exile. He explains that a pendant is able to access a powerful instrument that controls the weather elements. Y/n's blood is needed to activate said instrument and Yasi becomes alarmed at the information. He helps Y/n further investigate her linage at the cemetery, where she is met with a vivid flashback. When she returns to the circus grounds, Buggy is trapped by Mr. Dun and Kija. Now, Buggy and Y/n are under Kija's custody.
Part 11: Turmoil
“If you don’t let me out, I’ll slaughter all of you bastards!” Buggy exclaims, tugging on his chains.
He furiously looks through his jail cell, giving a death glare to the mayor and his goons. They're at an unknown location, presumably at an abandoned basement.
“What goes around, comes around. Am I right?” Mr. Dun laughs. “You shouldn’t have messed with me and now look at you, pathetic.”
“Screw you!” Buggy yells out, his nose barely touching the rusted sea stone bars.
The mayor approaches the cell and leans forward. He gives him a dashing smile and goes to flick his nose. The pirate captain snarls at him, "Don't you dare touch my nose with your filthy hands!"
He cackled loudly, "I'll do what I want." He gives him another flick to the nose before pulling away. The mayor snaps his fingers to signal his men for their departure. As he walks away, he turns around one last time. "Just so you know, Mr. Abask is planning to wed the youngsters by the end of the week, and you won't be breathing to witness it."
Buggy's eyes widen at this piece of information. "Wedding?! That bastard! I won't let him get away with this!"— he screams— "Freaks?! Where are my freaks?!"
"Oh, they're not here. No one will come to rescue you. Have fun on your last days, I sure will." With that, Mr. Dun snickers away, leaving the pirate alone in the dark drenched cell.
He trashes around, trying to break free of the chains, but it was no use. Despite the chains made of regular metal, the collar around his neck is made of sea stone. It's not hundred percent pure sea stone, but it is enough to contain his devil fruit's power.
"Shit."
Buggy calms down and plots to the dirty ground. "How do I get out of this mess?"
.°˖✧.°˖✧
Elsewhere, Y/n sits anxiously with Yasi in an intricate room of the Abask's mansion. Beautiful artworks are displayed across the walls, adding dimension to the plain beige color. Though, the dim lighting makes it hard to see. The candles that light the room flicker viscously, almost dancing, the sound of each wild wick with the silence triggers Y/n. Uneasy, she paces back and forth, fiddling with her fingers.
"Y/n, calm down. Buggy will be fine."
She stops her tracks and faces Yasi. "Are you sure? There is no way they're letting Buggy out of this island. Have you seen his bounty?"
Yasi walks to the nearby desk and picks up the bounty poster. "I don't understand, why didn't he tell you?"
"I don't know. . ."
She sighs and sits back down, hiding her face with her hands. Yasi places the bounty poster back on the desk and takes a seat next to her. He consoles her by patting her back.
"Well, obviously he was going to scare you off with that bounty. Would you agree?"
"I guess. . . I still wished he would have told me. My sister was right, I really don't know anything about him."
"It's not your fault. I don't think we truly know anyone." He looks away for a brief moment and takes a deep breath. "You never know what people hide from you."
Breaking the conversation, the door creaks open, revealing no other than Kija himself. The air tenses at his arrival. "Why hello," he says cheerfully. He takes a couple of steps inside the room and scans the area. "You know, this used to be Yasi's old playroom. Now we just store old paintings and junk." His eyes trail to the youngsters, who did not sure the same enthusiasm.
"Okay, enough chit chat. We have many things to discuss, in particularly about the incident earlier."
Y/n straightens her posture, giving a nasty glare to the older man. "Where's Buggy and his crew?" she asks with a stern tone.
"That is classified information my dear. I assure you that you're better off without those people."
"Are you turning them in the marines?"
Kija remains silent.
"Well, are you?" she pressed.
He chuckles, his raspy laugh adds to the ominous atmosphere. "The marines have been contacted. They will arrive shortly."
Her heart drops at the news. Once they get a hold of the pirates, she will lose all contact with them. She clutches her chest as her hands tremble.
"There is no reason to be sad Y/n. That man lied to you, he manipulated you to believe he was good, but pirates are not good people."
"Buggy's different," she muttered, not wanting to make eye contact.
"If you know him so well, then you must know about the atrocities he committed. Being tied with an evil pirate, what does that make you Y/n? Do I have to turn you in the marines as well?"
She balls her first, but before she could speak, Yasi interjected. "Enough father, Y/n wouldn't stay with a man with that reputation. She didn't know."
Y/n tilts her head in confusion, what is he trying to say?
Yasi nudges her to go along with his words.
"Y-yes, I am young and gullible. I didn't know any better."
Clearing his throat, Yasi continues, "In fact, we were talking about the arranged marriage. Y/n has agreed to proceed."
"Oh,"— Kija's face lightens in surprise— "What changed your mind?"
"I've decided to give your son a chance. I realized my future is at stake with that pirate. Yasi is a better candidate."
"I see. . . well then, I will arrange the wedding at once."
"Huh, so soon?!" The two shout.
"Why not? The sooner the better or are you having second thoughts, Y/n?" His words apparently dark.
"No, no. . . I just wasn't expecting to get married right off the bat."
"No need to worry about it, I have people to take care of everything. Remember, once you join the family, the Ti's are safe."
Y/n gulps at the fact. She only nods in response.
"Okay, I'll leave you two kiddos at it. You two are to remain inside of the mansion, understand?"
"Yes sir," Yasi answered.
"Good, I'll take my leave. Expect my return in a couple of hours, I have matters to attend to."
With that he pivots and walks out the room. At his exit, two security guards stand by. Without facing them, he orders, "Do not let them out of your sights, I don't trust them. Report any suspicious activity to me immediately."
"Yes sir."
Back inside the room, Yasi and Y/n look at each other dumbfounded.
"Um, how soon is soon?"
"I have no fucking idea, but we won't let that happen."
"Okay, so what do we do?"
"We need to head to my father's office. Maybe we can find a clue about Buggy's location."
"Right."
As they open the door to leave, they're greeted by the two security guards.
"Fuck, I should have known," Yasi scowls.
The guards are twice the size of Yasi, who himself towers the average man. One of guard smirks at him. “Mr. Abask commanded us to remain by your side until his return. We would recommend that you comply."
Yasi looks at Y/n with the same expression of "What do we do now?" He sighs, grabbing Y/n's hand, and pushes in between the large men.
"Okay, but do you have to follow us everywhere?"
The guards did not say word as they began to follow behind.
"How are we going to go inside your dad's office," Y/n whispered, trying not to look alarmed.
"Don't worry about it, I have something in mind. Just keep calm."
The two make their way to the dining room, where the servants help them to their seats. Yasi quickly whispers by her ear, "Just sit here and wait." He straightens himself and starts to leave the dining area. "I'm going to the restroom; it won't take long." One goes after him as the other stayed behind. "Geez, do you have to be on my tail?" He cuts through corners, in hopes of losing the man, but he is quick. Looking around the passageway, a golden golfclub hangs in a display and a wicked smile plasters on his face.
In a hurry, the guard nears the end of the passageway, but as he looks out, he makes the mistake of looking left first. Yasi swings the golfclub on the back of his head. The hard strike knocks him out cold and his body plummets on the cold floor.
"Whew, I can't believe I did that." He kicks the man's leg, making sure he was out. "I hope I didn't kill him. . ." The man's chest continues to rattle, and he sighs in relief, resting the golfclub over his shoulder. He does an about face and runs up the stairs to his father's office, there is no time to waste.
To his luck, the door is unlocked. He scurries around his large desk, for any clues where they harbor the Buggy pirates. He opens a drawer and finds a note, it states:
"Prisoners will be transferred from the warehouse to the lagoon near the dark forest. Prisoners will be executed immediately."
"Shit, he was never planning on contacting the marines."
He crumbles the paper in his hands and throws it to the ground as he scurried out the office. It wouldn’t be long before the other guard notices that his restroom break was taking longer than usual.
Y/n sat in utter silence, with the second guard awfully close. She could practically hear him breath down her neck, it disgusted her. Then, a loud wack caught her by surprise. She turns around and sees Yasi holding a golden golf club.
“What the fuck?! Did you just kill him?!” She yells, staring at the limp body on the ground.
“Shhh, we don’t want the workers to hear us and no I didn’t kill him. . . I think,”— he grabs her arm— “come on, we have to go.”
Yasi yanks her out the chair as he makes a run for it, throwing the golf club to the floor. They pass the main entrance and head to the other side of the mansion.
“Hey, we just passed the doors!”
“No, we can’t go that way. Knowing my father, he probably placed a security system. I know a place where it won’t trigger an alarm.”
They finally make it to the end of the hallway, where Yasi goes to push a table display out the way. Behind it, lies a small red button. He pushes it and a small portion of the tiles beneath them reveal an opening.
“This is one of the hidden exits in the house. It’s a good thing that it’s one of the older ones since it won’t provoke an alarm. Okay, I’ll go in first and I’ll help you down.” He climbs down the old rusted ladder and reaches his hand out for Y/n.
“Is this safe?” she asks, holding onto his hand.
“Let’s not think about that.”
As they both climb down the stairs, the hole closes behind them. The small underground passage way is lit by an old electric system, barely providing light. Yasi nudges her to continue their route.
“Okay, this will take us outside the property fence. From there we will have to find Walo.”
“Walo? What does he have to do with anything?”
“I found out that Buggy and the rest of the crew are at a warehouse. Bad news, I have no idea which warehouse they’re located at. Your sister’s husband deals with my dad’s finances. Meaning he knows all about his inventory.”
Her eyes widen. “Which means he can tell us what warehouse he could possibly be in!”
“Exactly and we don’t have much time. My father plans on killing them.”
“What?!”
“For some reason he doesn’t want the marine to be involved, but I think I know why.”
Y/n knew exactly to what he referred. Of course he wouldn’t, it would ruin his plan to obtain the lost trinket. She clutched her chest, feeling where her necklace once belonged.
“Say, how come you changed all of the sudden?” she says, changing the subject.
He furrows his brows. “What do you mean?”
“It’s like you did a 360. Why do want to help Buggy?”
“. . . I don’t know. . .”
“You were always so violent towards me, I’m still surprised.”
In the mist of their pacing footsteps, Yasi sigh’s. He looks at her for a brief moment and back at the darkened passageway.
“I want to redeem myself. Especially towards you, I was such an asshole. I’m sorry I acted that way.”
“I don’t know if I can forgive you, but I do appreciate your help.”
Yasi only gives her a weak smile. “I understand. . . I guess I just wanted to feel love for once.”
“Love?” Intrigued, Y/n tilts her head.
“You see, my father has never given that to me. I was raised alone by the servants, I had no other parent. My mother went missing shortly after I was born.”
“Oh, I thought your mother divorced your father.”
“No, my father made that up. I don’t know what happened to her. . .”
Despite the sadden atmosphere, Yasi began to laugh. “I wish she was here to slap some sense into me. I think all I needed was motherly love. Maybe that’s why I clinged onto you,”— he turns to face her— “you know, you resemble her a lot. I have pictures of her and you both carry the same smile.”
Y/n was gagged. It all made sense now. She didn’t know if she should feel flattered or not; regardless, it warmed her heart.
“You know, I do wish she was here. To finally beat some sense into you.”
The raven hair cackled. “Yeah, anyway, let’s continue. We’re almost there.”
.°˖✧.°˖✧
After making their way out of the estate’s perimeter, they lingered in the shadows. Going through the back roads and bushes, the duo made their way to Lyla’s home, in hopes to find Walo there.
Y/n knocked at the back door, to avoid being seen from the front. To their luck, it is Walo who opens the door.
“Y/n? Yasi? What on earth are you doing back here?”
They push through him and enter his home, urging him to close the door. He looks at them confused, watching them frantically close all window blinds and curtains.
Lyla comes down the stairs, trying to figure out where all the ruckus was coming from.
“Um, what are y’all doing?”
“We have no time to explain everything, but this is urgent,”— Yasi recollects himself— “Walo, please tell me everything you know about my father's warehouses.”
“Uhh, what do you want to know about them?”
“Is there one that’s perhaps unoccupied?”
“Let me think. . . hold on, let me grab my paperwork.”
He quickly runs up the stairs and heads inside his small office. His hands run down the files on his desks, and he grabs a folder. He brings it back to the kitchen table where they all await. As the documents are scattered around the table, Y/n notices one paper in particular.
“Okay, so it looks like the only warehouse without any inventory is warehouse number 5. Last thing there were class D explosives.”
Yasi ears perk up at the word. “Explosives? That’s odd, why would he use them all at once.”
“When was that?” Y/n asked, as he examined the paper she held.
“It doesn’t specify, it appeared to have been a Monday.”
“Monday. . . Lyla your parents left on a Monday as well. This paper lists all the products onboard the cruise ship and one of products include explosives.”
“Let me see that.” Walo grabs the document and analyses the warehouse sheet. “The product codes match. . .”
Yasi suddenly gasps.
They all face him, who appears distraught. “I-I recently overheard my father talk about ship blowing up. I didn’t think anything at the time, this is the not the first time I hear him talk about an explosion.”
"You don’t think—" Y/n palmed her mouth, feeling her heart sink.
Y/n’s and Lyla’s face turn pale.
"Oh my god-" Lyla’s body plummets back and Walo breaks her fall. "My parents. . ." she weeps.
“W-wait, we don’t know if it’s true,” Walo says, trying to comfort his wife.
Y/n grabs Yasi by his arm and turn their backs. "Is your dad really capable of murder?" she whispers. He doesn't say word, his shaking eyes says it all.
"He lied to me. Your dad was never going to pardon their debt,"— she pivots and walks towards the door— "come on, we need all the manpower we can get."
"Right."
"Walo, I know nothing makes sense, but we're getting to the bottom of this. I'll explain everything once we return."
He nods as he helps Lyla up on a chair. Yasi waves goodbye before leaving with Y/n. Their only chance to confront Kija is to obtain the Buggy pirates— wherever they might be.
.°˖✧.°˖✧
Kija impatiently observed his men at the Ti's property.
"Keep looking. It should be hidden around here somewhere."
He barges inside the small home; the workers have already destroyed the inside. Clutter fills the space and broken furniture block his path. Kicking the pieces out the way, he makes it to Y/n's room. Most of the place has been cleared, still, he had to make sure no area goes untouched.
He scans the trashed room and his eyes land on a particular object. Thrown on the floor, beside the opened drawer, laid a rectangular box. He opens it and the inside revealed an empty jewelry case. To his surprise, the foam mold is in the shape of a cross.
"Bingo."
Pleased by the finding, he takes the jewelry box and exits the room. On his way out, he snaps his fingers to get the attention of his men, ordering them to leave. The horse carriage waited for his return, and he swiftly enters inside.
"Quick, take me back to the mansion," he orders the coachman. With his command, the worker takes no time to depart.
Upon his arrival, he calls out for the guards, but they do not answer. Stange. He makes way to his office and finds one of the guards knocked out on the floor. Out of anger, he kicks the unconscious man's torso, not caring if it will leave a bruise. He pulls out his transponder snail to contact the other guard, but the line continued to ring.
"Huh, that boy has some guts," he grits.
In a flash, he calls another contact with the transponder.
"Keep an eye out for my son and the girl. We have trouble."
"Trouble? Don't tell me—"
"Yes! Now make sure no one makes it the warehouse." He hangs the call and runs his hand through his hair. Things were not supposed to get out of hand, he needs the necklace. He huffs, there is only one option, but it could ruin his plan. The transponder snail rings once again, he takes a deep breath and the line picks up.
"At your order, sir."
"I have a mission for you, 15."

Vampire Au pt. 5
Vampire Law x Human Luffy
Tumblr media
Law takes Luffy to pound town ;)
Previous -> Part 4
The first thing Nami did was try to bribe the vampire. The castle was filled with valuable trinkets, decorations and most importantly, gold. The woman was going to have a heart attack at the amount of treasure that filled the place.
“If I see anything missing, I will cut your hands off.”
“Ah!” Nami quickly stood beside Luffy. “Tell him that it wouldn’t hurt if I kept something. He has too many things anyway.”
“These are Torao’s things. It’s not nice to steal.”
She huffed, “Luffy, we’re pirates.” She glanced at the vampire, who glared right into her soul. “Okay on second thought. . . I’ll leave his stuff alone.”
“I’d say that's the best choice Nami. Do you why he became a warlord in the first place?”
Intrigued, the Straw Hats stop to listen. Robin continues, “Becoming a warlord is not easy, one most prove to be a worthy asset to the government, right Jinbe?”— he nods— “Our vampire friend here did just that and do you know what that was?” Everyone shook their heads. "He presented the government a box, filled with one hundred hearts. All fresh and bloody."
“Oh. . .” The room became visibly silent, all turning to face the vampire.
“We’re not called the Heart Pirates for no reason,” Shachi laughed, breaking the silence.
Chopper did not take this lightly. “How could you do that to those innocent people!” he exclaimed, hitting the vampire's leg.
Law rolled his eyes at the weird looking creature. “I wouldn’t say they were innocent people. It’s none of your concern," he says with a cold tone.
“L-Luffy, are we really staying with this psycho?” Usopp shivered, holding onto his captain’s legs.
“Torao has his reasons. He wouldn’t do that to just anyone," he stated, not grasping the severity of the situation.
“They were pirates, it's not like their lives matter,” Penguin said.
“Still. . . doctors shouldn’t be that cruel,” Chopper mumbled.
“Huh, who would have thought the little dog is one too. You need to toughen up if you want to proceed in this profession.” The reindeer balled his fists. Law found this amusing and smirked at him. “Am I right?” he snickered.
Robin's expression darkened. "Luffy, are you sure you want to be around this guy?"
"Oi, Torao, that wasn't so nice,"— he climbs over his back— "Sorry guys, but he's not so bad once you get to know him. You should really check out his lab, it's filled with so many things. I even got to see a corpse."
The Straw Hats looked at each other, feeling uncomfortable at his outburst. Each new piece of information is only adding onto the vampire's cruel reputation.
Sanji clears his throat. "Well, how about I make all of us a dinner to ease things up a bit."
Luffy gasps, "Yes! You don't know how much I missed your cooking, Sanji." He leaps over to the cook and weeps. "I'm starved."
"Okay, okay, I get it. Don't worry, I'll whip up a feast in no time."
"A feast huh? I'm interested," Bepo comments.
"You guys have no idea, Sanji is the best chef I know," Luffy voiced.
Law only "tsked" at his proclaimed adoration for Sanji. It is clear that he is not the only one on Luffy's favorite's list. First Zoro and now Sanji. Furthermore, even his crew appears to be riled up. He facepalms.
“What’s wrong cap? Aren’t you trilled?” Penguin said.
“No, I am not.”
“Captain! Let’s throw a celebration, it will be good for us to befriend your mate’s crew,” Bepo said.
“No,” he mumbles.
“Please.” Bepo gave him puppy eyes, in hopes that he would change his mind. Law couldn’t handle the overwhelming cuteness of the bear. He sighed in defeat.
“Everyone! We will throw a celebration for our new alliance!” The bear declares.
“Alliance?!” Law is taken aback at this. “I didn't say anything about an alliance!”
“An alliance sounds fun,” Luffy says.
“Um Luffy, do you know what an alliance means?” Usopp said.
“It means we’re all friends, right?”
His crew looks at him dumbfounded.
“Whatever you say. . . but I guess we have no choice now. You’re mated with the Heart Pirate’s captain,” Nami sighed.
“So, it’s official Torao, we have an alliance!”
Law did not like this; however, his mate seemed happy. “If you say so. . .” He pinched the top of his nose, frowning at the thought of sharing his space with more people.
“Great! Come on guys, I’ll show you around.”
“W-wait, Luffy!” But the straw hat was long gone with his crew. “Shit,” he grumbled, in hopes that nothing would be out of place.
.𖥔 ݁ ˖౨ৎ.𖥔 ݁ ˖-`♡´-.𖥔 ݁ ˖౨ৎ.𖥔 ݁
With the help of Sanji's gourmet meals, the Heart and Straw Hat pirates were already getting along.
"Hey, do vampires eat human food?" Sanji asked, looking over at Law who has not taken a bite out of anything.
"Well, now that you mentioned it. . . I haven't seen him eat. He has only fed from my blood every once in a while,” Luffy mumbled, chewing at his steak.
"Blood. . . what a strange taste. . ." Sanji gathered up the courage to walk over the stooping captain. "I am not satisfied until everyone has eaten."
"Not interested."
This was a shot to the cook's existence. "Tell me, what do you want to be served."
Law eyed him and then glanced at Luffy. "Give me your captain," he says with a cocky smirk.
"That's obscene! I meant something edible!"
"Fine, I'll eat onigiri."
"See, was it really that hard?" he snickered. Law snapped his head away and ignored his comment.
Within a few minutes, Law received his special order and hesitantly took a bite. The taste is unworldly for a simple dish. He is astonished, how can one take a ball of stuffed rice to another level? Law hides his praise and grumbles, eating away at the food. Sanji laughed, knowing his reputation exceeds him.
"Zoro! You're here!" Luffy shouted.
Law turned his head to the swordsman, who yawns as he enters the room. Zoro ignores any contact with the Heart Pirates and sits next to his captain.
"Hey cook, where's the booze?"
"Oi, don't order me around like your slave. Find it yourself!"
Zoro scoffed and leaned back in his chair. He didn’t want to get it himself, but for a taste of alcohol, he'll do anything. But to his luck, a drunken Penguin comes to his rescue.
He hiccups, “Here, we have plenty of vodka.” Penguin stumbles, swaying the bottle over his head.
“Hey, you’re going to drop it.” Zoro grabs the bottle out of his hands. “But thanks,” he simply says.
“N-no prob-blem,” he says through hiccups.
The swordsman was about to drink from the bottle until his attention sways to Luffy. "We should make a toast.”
"A toast?" the straw hat said with a stuffed mouth.
"Why not? We're going to be interacting with the Heart Pirates from here on out, so let's seal the deal."
"Mmm, nah. You know I hate the taste of alcohol."
"A sip won't hurt." Zoro teases, playfully placing the rim of the bottle near his lips.
Luffy shoves the bottle away as Zoro wraps an arm around his neck, trying to make him take a sip. "Ack, that's gross!"
The vampire twitched at the sight. Zoro is all over his mate, he despised it. He looks away, trying to contain his anger, and munches at his onigiri aggressively.
The straw hat pushes Zoro off of him and scowls.
“Come on Luffy, just this one time.”
Luffy squints his eyes at him. “Fine.”
Zoro gives him a grin and gets up from his seat. “Listen up, we all know we started on the wrong foot,”— the pirates stop their conversations and look at the swordsman— “but our captains decided to form a relationship with another. If we want to make our captains happy, we will have to tolerate each other. To that, let’s make a toast for the newly formed alliance.”
“Yes captain, we’ll do anything for you!” Bepo, Penguin, and Shachi cry out.
Law lowered his hat in embarrassment.
Everyone grabbed their drink and raised it up. Luffy reluctantly grabbed the small shot glass that Zoro poured the vodka in. He felt Zoro elbow him and he quickly took the shot.
“Ack.” He spat out, tasting the pungent drink on his tongue.
“Ha, you should’ve seen your face,” Usopp cackled.
“It’s not that bad Luffy. I would say I if I still had a tongue, yo ho ho ho,” Brook joked.
The straw hats and the heart pirates joined in at the laughter. Luffy pouted for a brief moment before Zoro patted his back and reassured his captain. Luffy sighed and laughed with his crew.
Law felt his heart ache. He's never seen Luffy smile or laugh like that before. He is happy, he loves them. Law couldn't bare it anymore; it is clear to him now. He could never compete with them.
Law excluded himself from the party and went out into labyrinth of his home. Luffy noticed this and his smile faded, why would Torao leave all of sudden and not let him know?
Everyone was too distracted to notice that both Law and Luffy left the room.
.𖥔 ݁ ˖౨ৎ.𖥔 ݁ ˖-`♡´-.𖥔 ݁ ˖౨ৎ.𖥔 ݁
Law was finally able to escape the noise in his bedroom. The obnoxious laughter and rosiness were overstimulating, not to mention the tearing screams from the Straw Hats. He's always been a loner, even with his crew. It was not surprising that they were able to assimilate with them nicely. Still, isolating himself felt different this time. He felt like he didn't fit in with the rest, how sad, in his own home.
"Torao?"
The vampire did not expect to hear his voice. "Mugi. . . what are you doing here?" he says alarmed, breaking out of his thoughts.
"I was going to ask you the same thing." Luffy closed the door behind him and sat next to Law. He lays down on the fluffy bedding and turns his gaze at the vampire.
Law stayed silent.
"Come on, let's head back." Luffy's hand reached out to Law's.
His hand stays perfectly still as his lover caressed his thumb. "Parties are not my thing."
"What do you mean? Everyone is having fun down there. You should come join us."
"You go. I'm staying."
"Why?"
"You seem happier with them." His hand now grasps onto Luffy's tightly.
"Torao. . . are you jealous?"
Law turns away. "Tsk, leave me alone.”
Luffy could tell by his mannerisms that it was true. "There's no need to be jealous, they're my friends. You said we are more than just friends. Our thing is different, right?" He sits up and leans his head on his shoulder. Law's body tensed up at his words. Luffy was determined to get an answer. "Tell me, how do you feel?"
For the first time in forever, Law couldn't get a single word out. How he feels? When was the last time he unbottled his true emotions? It was with the human, but what makes so different this time? These feelings are new to him. . . envy, that's a low emotion to have.
"Law." The straw hat sits on his lap, facing him. The vampire avoided eye contact with his mate, not wanting to dig any deeper into his inner thoughts.
Impatient, Luffy grabbed his chin and forcefully made Law face him. He scowled at him, but Luffy maintained a stern look. "You have to tell me. What's bothering you?"
In the heat of the moment, Law snaps at him, "Everything!"— he continues— “I hate how everyone is so drawn to you. The way you’re all able to laugh with one another, that irks me. And the way you look at Zoro. . . what is he to you?”
The human takes a moment to look into the vampire’s redden eyes. He was angry.
“Zoro is my best friend and nothing more. We’ve been through many things together, pushing through death. It is only natural that our bond is strong.”
“Tsk.” The vampire looks at the ground.
“We’ve known each other for a bit Law. But why do I feel so drawn to you? Is it this mark you gave me?” he says touching his nape.
Law was hesitant to speak but sighed. “Vampire mated marks are set by a specific chemical that bonds one another. The chemical adds a pheromone that attaches the bitten mate. . . you could say I’ve wired you to be fond of me,” — he grips the bedsheets— “You wouldn’t be here right now without the pheromone.”
“I wouldn’t say that.”
Law averts his attention to him.
“I really like you, Torao. I do feel the pheromones effects, but that’s not what’s keeping me with you.”
“How come?”
“I’ve never met anyone quite like you. I find you to be very interesting, I want to get to know you. Despite the mark, I am developing deeper feelings for you. My heart flutters every time I stare into your golden eyes, and I want to continue to feel that,” Luffy said, surprised he was able to cohere his confession.
Law blushed heavily. Smitten, he couldn’t bear to lock eyes with the younger man.
“Why are you telling me this? Aren’t you leaving with your crew?”
Luffy didn’t have an answer for this yet. "I-"
“I knew it,” — he barked out— “I should’ve known you would choose them over me!”
"To-"
Law continued to ramble about his insecurities and doesn’t let Luffy speak. He becomes impatient and pins the vampire onto the mattress.
“Bite me.”
“What?” Law says flabbergasted. The red that colored his eyes fade and leave his enlarged golden irises. Luffy's dark eyes say it all and Law swallows in shock.
“I’m yours, right? Then prove it!”
“Do you know what you’re requesting of me. . . right?” his voice dark and raspy. With the sound of their heavy breathing, the vampire finds himself turned on by the position, but the dynamic of having the human on top does not last long.
Luffy gives him a cocky grin. Oh, it's on. Law doesn't hesitate to lunge towards his neck. An intense wave of heat causes Luffy to cry out in pain. The hot red liquid spills out of the two punctures, the vampire quickly drinks the sweet blood. Once he is done, he takes a bite on the other side of his neck. The human tugs on the vampire's hair, holding back his cries.
The pain diminishes as the second bite is less intense, but it doesn't stop there. Law is hungry and will only be satisfied until Luffy is begging for mercy.
Bite after bite, Law marks Luffy’s body, tearing his clothes in the process and leaving the younger man completely nude. He shivers as the cold air creates goosebumps all over his tender skin.
Law doesn’t hesitate to capture his hardened nipple. His warm tongue flickers across the perky bud, not letting any area go untouched. In response to his tongue, Luffy arches his back. His flushed face arouses Law.
“Tell me, what do you want?” he whispers, kissing his restless chest.
The straw hat could barely lift his head to face the vampire. He lets out an inaudible sound as he felt Law’s lips brush down his abdomen. He left a trail of kisses, making sure to provoke his ticklish skin. Luffy felt his core tighten as his lips dangerously approached his groin.
“Torao-” he hitched.
A dark smirk plastered over Law’s face. “There it is,” he chuckled to himself.
He tugs on the hem of his shorts. Slowly, Law begins to pull them down. This was not fast enough for Luffy, he bucks, becoming impatient.
“Calm down or else.” Law squeezed his hips, stopping Luffy. The human wines but obeys.
“Good boy.” Law kissed his bellybutton and continued. He throws the shorts across the room and gropes the small tent of his boxers. “Someone’s a bit excited,” he chuckles. Luffy only bucks up to feel his large hand over his erection.
“Torao~” he wines.
Law enjoyed having Luffy wrapped around his finger. Those pretty doe eyes made his dick twitch in his pants. He wanted nothing more than to see hot tears run down his face. Law continued to grope the hardened member, squeezing it ever so often. Luffy mewls, becoming desperate for more.
“Hurry up!”
The vampire’s eyes redden as his hands wrap around the human’s throat. “You’ll regret that.” In a swift movement, he tears the fabric and flips Luffy on his belly. He uses one hand to pin his head down and without warning, he sticks his finger inside of his needy hole.
“Ah-” Luffy tried to wiggle out of the hold, but the vampire will not let him go.
Law snickers, “I told you.” He slips another finger in and begins to finger him. Luffy arches his back, giving him access his quacking hole. “You like that don’t ya?”— he grins— “I’m sure you can take another.” Three fingers in and the hot cavern is still clenching around his digits. “Shit babe, I can’t wait to feel you.”
“T-then what are you waiting for,” Luffy struggled to say.
“Hm, is that a challenge? Okay then.” Law gladly obliges, pulling his digits out. Luffy felt his hole relax, missing the long fingers that filled him. He wines at the lost.
Pulling his pants down, alongside with his boxers, Law's dick springs out. He pumps himself before aligning his tip over Luffy’s entrance. Just with a little push, he can feel the tense pressure around his sensitive head. He bites his lips, slowly pushing himself inside. Meanwhile, Luffy grips the bedsheets, trying to take his mate’s large member. With no lube, the stretching is painful.
“Torao. . .w-wait,” through huffs, the straw hat tries to adjust to the length. “It hurts.”
“Just relax, it’s almost done.”
Then, it was completely inside. The vampire takes a moment to catch his breath, the clenching insides are too much to bear. Even so, he locks in and holds onto the human's hips for support.
"How are you feeling?" Law could see the pain in his mate's expression, this would not be pleasurable if Luffy was not enjoying it.
"I-I'm fine, y-you can start," he shakily commanded.
Law goes to kiss the top of his ass and takes his position. He retracts carefully and slowly pushes his member back inside. Luffy grabs a pillow for support, trying to relax to ease the penetration. Even with the slow pace, he can feel every part of himself stretch.
Luffy asks himself, why was the process smoother in the previous occasion? Then, he remembers the plug and a wave embarrassment floods his mind. He places the pillow over his head to hide his shame. Law removes the pillow. “We’re not doing that. I want to see your face as I pound you,” he grins.
“W-what?” he squeaks, feeling the member be pushed closer to his g-spot.
“You heard me. I want to see your pretty little face in tears. I’ll make the whole castle hear as I make you mine.”
“Huh?! N-no, my friends are going to find out!” he exclaims.
Law grabbed a fistful of his hair and murmured next to his ear. “I want them to hear their pathetic little captain get fucked to oblivion." If Luffy’s face wasn’t red already, it’s near glowing now. Before he could think about his crew reactions, Law bit his neck once again. Luffy yelped as his tender neck is punctured once again. Tears flow down his redden cheeks as Law tugged on his hair. He brings his head back, allowing access to his sweet skin.
The droplets of blood stain the white bedsheets, each painting a cherry trail down the human's skin. The vampire readily licks each stream, becoming feral at the delicious metallic taste. He cups the human's squishy cheeks, licking his jaw up to his maxilla. "Should I leave more marks on your body?" he grunts, holding back his moans as he fucks him from behind.
An electrifying sensation jolts deep within him, the thought of being bit all of his body enticed Luffy. He could only nod in response, panting at the unruly pace.
Law sinks his teeth over his right shoulder and proceeds to leave bite marks down his arm. Even though the puncturing of his skin burned, the pain turned him on. Bite after bite and thrust after thrust, Luffy's body was on fire. His limbs become numb, only feeling Law's dick hit is g-spot rapidly.
"Oh fuck-" he gasps out.
As his body goes limp, Law pulls out quickly and changes to the missionary position. He grabs Luffy's hands and pins them over his head. His forehead rests against his, locking eyes with one another. Law could no longer hold back his moans, the view of his mate underneath him was out of this world. "Shit, I fucking I love you," he rasps over his ear.
Each hip thrust is sloppier than the next, harder and faster. Both are no longer care if their friends were listening on the other side of the door. Law lets himself fall on Luffy's body, still maintaining his tempo. He nibbles on his earlobe, sucking on it slightly. "Say that you're mine." Lost in his own world, Luffy doesn't register his words. Law's hand slither to this throat and tightens it. "Say it," he demands.
Luffy swallows hard. "I'm yours!"
In that very moment, Law goes berserk. Pounding all his might to reach his orgasm.
He gives one last bite to the human, right at his jugular. His blood spumes out from the pierced skin. Luffy screams from pain and pleasure, as he is sucked dry. The gush of the delicious liquid is the final nail to his climax and with one last thrust, he shoots his load inside of his mate. Depleted, Law is barely able to ride out his orgasm, letting his cum drip out of Luffy's abused hole. Luffy cums soon after and goes completely limp.
"Are you okay?" Law gently cleans the fresh wound on his neck, lapping his tongue over the bite mark.
Luffy sluggishly wraps his arms around Law. "Mmm, yeah. . ."
Law carefully rolls them to their sides, bringing Luffy against his chest. He grabs his arm and looks at the trail of teeth imprints on his skin.
"Did I go overboard?"
"Just a bit," he giggles.
"Sorry, I couldn't help myself. I just hope your crew doesn't think I actually tried to eat you."
"Dummy, you did."
"Oh- right. . ." Embarrassed, Law runs his hand over his hair. "Whatever, who are they to tell me what to do." His lips press against each bite mark, making Luffy wince.
"Hey, they're sensitive."
Law laughs at his remark. He goes to snuggle against the crook of his neck, taking a deep whiff of his mate's scent. The smell is intoxicating. He moves his head back to face Luffy and cups his cheek.
"I do want to apologize. I let my emotions get the best of me, I'm sorry," his voice sincere.
Luffy's eyes soften. "You were an asshole for what you did, but I don't hold grudges. I'm glad you did come for your senses."
"Yes, I know. . . I do have one more question. . ."
"And what is that?"
"Are you planning to depart with your crew soon?"
"Look Torao, the sea is what I live for. You can't take that away from me."
"Oh, I understand. . ."
"But. . . what about you? You're a pirate, we are meant to be out at sea. Why don't you join me, we already made an alliance after all?"
"Join your crew? Do you really think I'll serve under you?"
He cackles, "That would be nice, but I know you wouldn't except. Though, I was thinking something else. . . why don't we sail together as co-captains?"
"Co-captains? I don't think either of our crew will listen to each other."
"Probably not, but that way we can keep our titles as captains and be together. Think about it."
Law sighs, "I'll think about it."
Luffy grins and gives him a large smooch on his lips.
He smiles at him softly and adjust their positions to cuddle. "For now, let’s sleep. I am exhausted."
"Sleep? Since when do you sleep?" His mate tilts his head in confusion.
He rolls his eyes. "Tsk, we’ve slept in the same bed before. Now, no more questions, you’ve drained me."
Luffy snickers as Law pulls a blanket over them. They drift to sleep, unaware of their crewmates flushed faces over the loud commotion upstairs.
“Uh guys, that wasn’t a hallucination right?” Penguin slurred out.
Robin, who is covering Chopper’s ears, shakes her head. “I’m afraid not.”

Previous Chapters: Part 1, Part 9

Previously: With the news of the marriage proposal Buggy becomes furious. Feeding to the fire, Cabaji shows a letter to Y/n that reveals the mayor as her father’s murderer. Buggy confronts the mayor, with no concrete evidence, and threatens him. The news of the debt and marriage crisis makes it to Lyla, who warns Y/n of the risks dealing with pirates.
Part 10: True Intentions
"Son, it's time I tell you the history of our family."
Yasi's ears perked up as he picked at his steak. "I already know about our history. What else is there?" he speaks with a bore tone.
Kija wipes his mouth with a white cloth and places it on his empty plate. He snaps his fingers to get Moris' attention. The butler arrives and cleans the table. The half-eaten steak is taken away as well, Yasi tries to grab the plate, but Moris slaps his hand. "You should have eaten it."
Yasi scoffs and slumps on the chair.
"Stop acting like that and follow me." His father stands up and leaves the dining room. Yasi hastily gets up and follows after him. He leads him to the mansion's library, it is small, but extravagant. Rich literature collected by his ancestors fill the ebony wood shelves.
"For centuries, our family has maintained order on this island. We are the chains that keep stability, without us, the people inhabiting these lands will perish."
Yasi raises his eyebrow in annoyance. "So?"
"The Abasks, co-founded the island with the Kishas as you may recall."
"Yeah, yeah. . . Kisha Febe got all the credit for it. What about it? It's not like anybody remembers her."
"True, but the name Kisha has died out. Do you know why?"
"Well, weren't they exiled ages ago?"
"Yes, but do you know the reason for their exile?"
"From what I heard, the Kisha's tried to run this island like a dictatorship and failed after a revolt."
"That is partially correct, but there is more."
Kija turns to face an oil painting. The painting presents a young man, he has long jet-black hair and the same piercing blue eyes they have. "That is Lionel, the Abask who discovered the island with Febe."
"I know that already dad."
He glares at him but continues. "They forged the land together with the help of a mystical trinket, formed by the sea kings. One that controlled the four elements: air, earth, fire, and water. Its whereabouts are unknown."
Yasi begins to chuckle, but his father's glare stops him.
"Lionel has always been in love with Febe, but she always seen him as a brother. Love stricken, he let her have all the glory. In fact, he was so blind that he allowed her to take full control of the island. He was a fool, letting himself be used like that. It wasn't until she married another man that he realized his mistake,"— Kija clears his throat— "With her pride, she kept the surname Kisha. Her descendants reign lasted for a while, despite the usage of the trinket. However, Lionel's descants managed to destroy the Kisha's power and banished them from the island."
"Well, what does that have to do with me?"
"I believe Y/n is a Kisha."
He's flabbergasted. "How can that be?"
"Her father kept it hidden."
"Okay, why is the name Kisha that important?"
"Their blood. It is the only way to possess the trinket's power."
Yasi stays silent for a moment. Blood? The sinister agenda behind that statement sent shivers down his spine. "Is that why you're pushing the marriage between us? That's ridiculous," he says, eyeing his father.
"I don't seek power son. Do you see how that turned out for them? If we can get ahold of the trinket, we can create a better environment for the people and maintain the Kisha's thirst for power,"— he grabs an old journal from the bookshelves— "We will finally be able to merge our linage and finally end our ancestor's story. Can't you see, we were always meant to be one."
He skims through the fragile pages and show's his son an image of a cross. "I need your help to locate this pendant. This is the key for everything."
". . . key. . ?" It took him a moment to realize that he's seen that pendant before. It's Y/n's necklace. He gasped, but quickly covered his hands over his mouth.
"Where you going to say something?" Kija suspiciously looked at his son, intrigued at his reaction.
"Uh. . . no. . ." he coughed, trying to avoid further details. To his luck, his father dismissed it.
"Well, then. . . I advise you to get to work." He closes the journal and places it back on the shelf. "Do what you have to do to marry that girl. We need that pendant in our possession."
"Yes father."
Kija nods and escorts Yasi out the room, closing the door behind him.
"Silly little boy, he’ll believe anything," he chuckles.
"There is some truth in my story, but once I get ahold of that pendant. No one will dare defy me."
But little did he know that Yasi heard everything behind the closed door.
.°˖✧.°˖✧
In the town's plaza, the markets are as lively as ever. Y/n and Lyla take turns taking care of the stand as Walo joins them. They all multitask between customers, plotting a way to avoid the Ti's eviction.
"I'm not sure if there's much that I can do," Walo sighs, counting the money in the register's drawer.
Lyla finishes adding apples to the display and walks over to her husband. "Are you sure? You work closely with him."
"That's true, but I don't see him very often. I only take care of the finances dealing with his ships."
"Hey, are you able to track down what ships he's sent out?" Y/n asks out of curiosity.
"Yes, I have access to all of the records. . . why?"
"I'm just concerned, he gave the Ti's a free voyage a couple of days ago. It just seems odd."
He furrowed his eyebrows. "That is strange. . . I don't remember seeing that in our records, I'll definitely check that out."
"Thank you."
"Y/n," Yasi called out.
Everyone snapped their head to the voice. Yasi took a step back, receiving nasty scowl from the family. There is a moment of silence before Walo spoke.
"What are you doing here?" he said with a hoarse tone.
He anxiously tugged on the collar of his polo and weakly mumbles, "I just wanted to check up on Y/n."
"As you can see, I'm fine," she spat out.
Ignoring her attitude, Yasi approaches her. "My father hasn't bothered you, has he?"
"No. Should I be worried?"
". . . no. . ." he hesitantly let out.
"Okay, there's something you're not telling me."
"I really shouldn't say, but I really want to prove that I'm not doing this for my father."
"So what is it?"
"We have to talk somewhere private, if that's okay with you."
Lyla and Walo look at each other, uneasy at the request. They look at Y/n, waiting for her response.
She takes a brief look at them and back at Yasi. "Fine, I have nothing else to lose." Lyla sighed and noded in approval. Y/n leaves from behind the counter and nudges Yasi to follow after her. "We can talk in the alleyways, no one goes through there."
"Right. . ."
Y/n leans against the dirty walls of the wooden building, the stench of garbage lingers throughout the air. Yasi could almost gag at the smell, but he composed himself.
"Well, where do I start. . ."— he clears his throat— "The reason my father wants us to get married is because he wants to get closer to you.”
“Uh. . . that’s not creepy.”
“Not in that way, but he thinks you are descendant of the island's founder."
Y/n bursts out in laughter. "Yeah right, like I'm related to her."
Annoyed, he raised his voice. "But I'm not lying. He wants your necklace, the cross to be exact."
"Huh? My necklace. . ?" She looks at him puzzled. "Why does he need it?"
"Apparently it's the key to find Kisha's trinket, whatever that is."
"Trinket? Well, from what I know my father gave me that necklace. He never said anything about it." Y/n tries to remember if her father mentioned something about the necklace, but nothing comes to mind. Her hands go to her neck, that's right, Buggy has it. Her mind continues to run wild, and an idea pops up. "Come to think of it. . . if I give you the necklace. . . will your father exclude the marriage?"
"Unfortunately, no. Not only does he need the necklace, but your blood as well."
"Um, what the fuck?"
"Apparently that's how you're able to access the trinket. He said it's a powerful instrument."
Y/n is shocked at the information. Her blood? "From what I know, I may not be related to Kisha. I am not letting your father touch me."
"Which is why I want to help you. My father has gone mad."
"Okay so, what do we do?"
"I don't know. How do we determine you are a Kisha after all?"
"I think I may know how. Follow me." Y/n grabs his hand and pulls him out the alleyway. He tries to pull away, but she is only focused on the direction she walks.
.°˖✧.°˖✧
With the new details from Yasi, Y/n returns to the cemetery in hopes to find answers. They stand before her parents’ grave. She has never been able to contact them nor have they. The missing surname adds to the possible evidence that she might be a Kisha, but she hopes that is not true.
"Please, if you can hear me. I need your help."
Yasi looked at her crazy. Is she really trying to talk to dead people? Absurd. "What are you doing?"
"Shh, I'm trying to concentrate."
He stands back, watching her do her strange ritual. Nothing happens.
“Fuck, this used to work when I was little.”
“So it was true? You can communicate with the dead?”
“Yes. . . no one believed me. . .”— she sighs— “maybe this is all in my head. As you can see. . . it didn’t work.” Y/n sits before her mother’s tombstone. Did she really see that shadow on that day? How else would she had discovered the hidden room in the temple.
“Please, I fear that the island is in danger. If anyone can hear me, give me a sign.”
Again, nothing. In rage, she gets up from the ground and marches away. "Forget it, this is pointless."
"Hey, where are you going?"
Yasi follows after her, but she is quick. As she trails on the dirt path, her body sways. She begins to stumble, and she falls on her bottom. Loud ringing is all she can hear; it is obnoxious and the volume increases by each second. It becomes so unbearable that she screams, alerting Yasi. In the height of the pain, she stops her cries and that's when everything went black.
Y/n opens her eyes, a bright light beams over her face. Soft winds blow around her and the soft touch of grass brushes against her skin. It takes a minute for her to comprehend the surrounding area. She sits up and scans the never-ending field, until she spots a human-like figure. It appears to be a woman, who stands a couple of feet away from her. She faces the setting sun, standing completely still.
"Hello?" she calls out.
The woman says nothing.
Y/n walks towards her, but the winds begin to pick up, each gust gaining strength at each step. Still, she managed to pull through and reaches the mysterious woman. She grabs her shoulder to get her attention but is immediately zapped by an unknown force.
Hundreds of flashing images fill her mind, each more chaotic than the next. She is able to depict a battle, a fight between a man and a woman. Fire consumes the land as gushing winds of a severe thunderstorm adds more to the fuel. The scene is cut short, and the hidden room of the temple appears. It focuses specifically on an engraving, matching the cross of her necklace. The final image she sees in one of a small chest. The location of the box is unknown.
She breaks out of her trance and breathes profoundly.
The woman finally speaks, "Be aware. Danger is near."
"H-huh? What do you mean?"
"Do not let him win."
"Him?"
The woman turns around, her lifeless eyes glow white, the brightness expanding across the area. The light extends, stunning Y/n in the process. The last thing she is able to make out from the woman are the words "Find the gem."
"Y/n, wake up!"
She finds herself back into reality as Yasi shakes her limp body.
"I'm okay now, you can stop shaking me," she groans.
"Oh, I thought you died,"— he helps her off the ground— "What happened? You were screaming and passed out."
Y/n holds her pouncing head. "Someone reached out to me. Ugh. . ." Still weak from the blackout, she begins to fall back. Yasi stops her fall. "I need my necklace."
"Okay, where is it?"
"Buggy has it."
"Of course he does," he mumbles.
"Come on, we need it." She tries to walk on her own, but her legs don't cooperate.
"Let me carry you, it will be faster that way."
Y/n wanted to resist, but she had no choice. "Fine, let's head to the circus tent."
.°˖✧.°˖✧
It’s late. Hopefully Buggy wouldn’t be worried, especially arriving in Yasi's arms. This would not sit well with the pirate.
"I don't think I should go inside."
"Yeah, I agree. You can put me down now." He complies and gently sets her feet on the ground. “Okay, I’m just going to inside-” As she turned around to enter the tent, she is met with Buggy’s hard chest.
"Y/n, care to explain."
Shit. Her heart skips a beat once she realized who it was. His expression is dark, eyes dead set on Yasi. He grabs Y/n’s arm and pulls her behind him.
"It's not what it looks like."
"Oh really. Then tell me why you were gone the whole day and return in another man's arms, one that you are arranged to marry?!"
Y/n winced at the fact. "Okay when you say it like that. . . but Buggy he's here to help."
"I don't buy it." Buggy brushes past Y/n and grabs Yasi by the collar of his shirt. "You better leave before I stuff a blade down your throat."
"Buggy!"
"Hey, I didn't do anything to her. I was just trying to help."
“Yeah right, I know this little tactic. You’re trying to play the nice guy and slowly win her heart, but guess what, I won’t let that happen," he grits.
"Let me go," Yasi says sternly.
Buggy laughs, "Not before I fuck you up."
In that instant, Yasi heads butt him right on his nose. The pirate let's go of his collar and holds onto this throbbing face. "Why you little shit," he hisses out in pain.
Y/n quickly pushes Yasi to leave. "Run."
Buggy digs into this coat and pulls out three sharp blades. "Yeah, you better run you fucking piece of shit." He lunges at him, pushing Y/n out the way. Yasi runs out the gates as Buggy chases after him.
"Buggy, don't kill him!"
It was no use; bloodlust filled his mind. Yasi screamed for help, dashing into the nearby woods. As Buggy exits out the front gate, a net on the ground activates, capturing him inside.
"What the fuck?!" Buggy tries to move, but his body felt heavy. He tries to detach his hand to go through the holes of the net, but nothing happened. "What is this? Why can't I move?"
"It's made of sea stone." That voice.
His eyes widden. "You. How did you find out?"
It was the mayor, Mr. Dun. He laughs, standing over the net, showing him his bounty poster. Buggy's facial expression is priceless, nobody was supposed to know.
"Buggy! Hey, let him go!" Y/n yells out as she arrives to the scene.
"I'm sorry, but he is under arrest."
"Under arrest, for what?" she questioned.
“You see Y/n, Buggy is not just any pirate. He is a notorious pirate with a bounty of 15 million berries. He goes island to island, burning each town to the ground. We are lucky to have caught him in time.”
“15 million. . ?” That is a high bounty for a pirate in the East Blue. There’s no way he’s worth that much.
“He’s not a man you want to fiddle with Y/n,” Kija states.
Everyone turns around the face the man. He stands by the circus fence; his men have already surrounded the tent. He carries a smirk, walking towards the captured captain. Kija stands before the net, finding the pirate's position amusing.
“You are not worthy to be with a woman like Y/n. You are nothing, but a sorry dirty old man, it’s disgusting to see a scum like you take advantage of a young woman,”— he pivots and walks away— “take him away boys and rile up the rest of those freaks.”
Buggy tried his best to set himself free, but it was no use, his body is completely drained. “You. You set us up. I will kill you once I’m out,” he spat out, pointing to Yasi.
Kija only laughed. “It is impossible to escape my prison. No one has.”
The underlings roughly grab the net and throw him on a trailer attached to their horses. They take him away as the rest of his crew his captured.
“Y/n. . . I had no idea," Yasi mumbles.
“Stop it. I trusted you," she sobs, watching the men take Buggy away.
Kija approaches them. “You two. We have matters to discuss,” he says nudging them to a horse carriage nearby.
“No we don’t,” she tries to hit him, but he catches her hand, gripping it with enough force to cease her rage.
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you. Be a doll and comply.”
He lets go of her throbbing arm. Terrified, Y/n stayed completely still.
“Good. Yasi, we’re heading back to the mansion with Y/n. No need to worry about the situation, my men will take care of the trash.”
Y/n looks back the circus tent. Everyone has been apprehended, including Richie. The poor thing is being whipped and thrown around. She turns away, not wanting to watch the abuse of the lion any longer. For now, she has to obey Kija. A plan to help Buggy and his crew will have to wait.
“Don’t worry Y/n. These pirates will no longer be your concern.” He holds his hand out, waiting for her to join them in the carriage. She hesitates but takes his hand. She can hear the chaotic sounds of the circus grounds fade, has she failed?

Vampire AU pt. 4
Vampire Law x Human Luffy
Tumblr media
Law gets more ticked off ;)
Previous -> Part 3 Next-> Part 5
Luffy sat alone at the large dining table. The food was enough to fill him up, but it was not quite enough to satisfy his appetite. Something was missing. . . Sanji’s cooking. That’s what he’s been craving. There was nothing like his sweet and spicy glazed ham or his savory grilled lamb chops. Luffy picked at the peas on his plate, he had of course eaten all the meat, except for the sides. It’s strange, usually he devours everything.
Sanji would hate to see him play with his food, so he managed up the strength to eat all the peas. He gulped hard, feeling the hard little beans go down his esophagus. Luffy groans from the pain and slumps on the chair. He’s bored.
Hanging with the Heart Pirates was fun and all, but there’s nothing like his own crew. He wonders where they are. That wild storm caused him to go overboard, but luckily, he was able to hold onto a slab of wood from his ship.
He hastily gets up from the chair and lingers out to the halls of the castle. The place is vacant, Law told him to stay put as he had private matters with his crew. For the first time in a while, he feels homesick. Yes, sharing the place with the vampire was nice, but it doesn’t “scream” home. The Sunny, that’s his home, he wishes he could be on it.
“Okay, I don’t care what Torao says. I’m going outside.”
Luffy changed the course of his direction and goes through the back doors of the castle. He scans his surroundings before taking a step outside. He takes a deep breath in, enjoying the fresh air. This was better, it’s nothing like the warm sun hitting your skin.
It was time for an adventure, he had enough of that dark and gloomy place. Today's mission is to find that beast from the day he arrived. That weird looking creature chased him all around the island and it was time for payback. Maybe it will be worthy meal, something to makeup the unsatisfying lunch he had earlier. So, he embarks, entering the forest that Law specifically told him not to go in.
.𖥔 ݁ ˖౨ৎ.𖥔 ݁ ˖-`♡´-.𖥔 ݁ ˖౨ৎ.𖥔 ݁
An hour or two goes by, and Luffy has not found anything exciting. Vast lush vegetation is the only thing that surrounds him, it is beautiful of course, but it is not the excitement he is looking for. He sighs deeply and slumps over the grassy floor. His eyes trail the sky above him, the clouds move in a steady pace, crossing the never-ending blue field. Sky watching is not fun at ground level, his arm stretches to a tree branch, and he pulls himself up.
"Oh, you can see everything from up here," he says looking over the treetops. His eyes scan across the open view and spots a small mountain. "Perfect, maybe I can locate the beast from there."
In a jiffy, he swings from tree to tree to make it to the mountain. It didn't take long before he reached his destination. He escalates the rocky terrain and hears voices coming from the top. Luffy proceeds carefully, not wanting to be found. Using the bushes, he hides inside of them and peaks out to see the owners of the voices. To his surprise, it's Law's crewmates.
Penguin and Shachi are at the highest point of the island. Each held a pair of binoculars, watching the island at all angles.
“I wonder what gotten into the captain. He’s on high alert," Shachi says, removing the binoculars from his eyes.
Penguin does the same and sits down to take a small break. "I don't know either. Do you think Doflamingo might be on his ass?"
"I doubt it. He doesn't seem to be scared, it's something else. . ."
"Where is he anyway? I wonder what's he's up to with Bepo," Penguin groans, going back to watch duty.
"I dunno, he said something about loading the missiles on the submarine. Whatever he's doing, he is definitely going to demolish the ship he's awaiting."
Luffy sits quietly, he's an idiot, but the word ship caught his attention. He continues to listen to the conversation.
Shachi proceeds to take a 360 view of the island's coast. "Oh, incoming from the northeast," — he points in the direction of the object— “is that a ship?"
Penguin squints through his binoculars and tries to locate the possible vessel. Using the knob, he focuses in on the black dot, and he is able to distinguish a weird looking ship coming their way. "Well, looks like our duty is over. Call cap."
"On it." Shachi takes out his transponder snail and dials Law. "Captain, we have spotted ship coming fast from the northeast direction. We have not identified the vessel."
Luffy's ears perk up at the vampire's voice.
"Head to the sea. You know what to do."
"Roger that."
The two leave their spots and run down the mountain, leaving the binoculars behind. Luffy is intrigued by the so-called ship. He picks on of the binoculars and looks out to the location of where they spotted it. At first, he sees nothing, but with a bit of focus, he's able to distinguish the ship. He suddenly drops the instrument and sweat forms on his forehead. It has to be a mistake, he wouldn't dare. . . it's the wrong ship. It has to be.
Without a second thought, he runs down the mountain, following behind Penguin and Shachi.
“Hey!”
“Huh? What’s he doing here-"
Luffy tackled them both, rolling down the hard rocks that cover the slope. The three men crash by an old tree stump, with Luffy breaking their fall with his inflated body.
“Ugh, what’s the big idea Luffy?!” Penguin groans from pain.
“What are you guys planning to do with that ship?” Luffy's tone stern as he holds onto the collar of his suit.
“Woah, calm down buddy,” Shachi says, trying to pull the younger off.
“Answer my question.”
“Chill out Luffy, we’re just following cap’s orders. I’ll tell you if you let him go.”
“Fine," Luffy grumbles, hastily letting go.
“Look, cap wants us to sink any ship that comes in contact with the island. I don’t know what’s the threat is, but he’s serious about it.”
“Sink?!” He yells out.
“Hey, calm down.”
“How can I calm down if he’s planning to sink my ship! My crew is onboard!”
Penguin and Shachi look at each other in shock. That’s the reason why their captain wants to sink it, to leave Luffy without a crew. As cruel as it seems, Law can be rash about things. Finding love is something he doesn’t want to lose, but he’s losing it already.
“Shit.”
The two are not heartless like Law. Penguin nods at his crew mate, knowing what they have to do.
“Look we didn’t know that was he’s aiming for your ship. Maybe if we can talk to him, we can knock some sense into him.”
“So that was his plan along. . . I see now. . .” Luffy felt his heart sting a little. That’s the reason he didn’t want him going outside. He was going to kill his crew and wipe his shit under the rug. Now he’s angry. He won’t forgive him for this. “I’ll stop him myself.”
“Luffy, wait!” They call out for him, but it’s too late. He’s gone.
“This won’t end well. . .”
.𖥔 ݁ ˖౨ৎ.𖥔 ݁ ˖-`♡´-.𖥔 ݁ ˖౨ৎ.𖥔 ݁
“Bepo get the missiles ready for departure.”
“Law!”
He turns around. “Luffy? What are you doing here-" Then a cold hard punch to face knocks him to the sandy beach.
“Captain!” Bepo screams in shock. The rest of the Heart Pirates stop to observe the commotion. The polar bear was about to barge in, but Jean Bart stopped him. "Hold on Bepo, let them settle this."
The stunned vampire rolled to his side and wiped the blood off his lips. He looks at his bloody hand and back at Luffy. The straw hat’s eyes glare at him in fury.
“Why?” Luffy coldly states.
“Tsk. You didn’t have to hit me you know.”
“Why?”
Law glares at him before standing back on his feet. He grabs his sword and places it over his shoulder. His leopard hat covers his eyes as he stares at sand he stands on.
“Answer me Law. I know everything.”
“I won’t let you leave,” he mumbles.
“Well, I made up my mind.” He pivots away, marching off to find a raft to depart from the island.
Law grits his teeth and clutches onto the base of the sword. “Where are you going?” he voices out.
“Away from you.”
“No. I command you to stay put.”
Luffy stopped his tracks and turned around. “Over my dead body.” Stomping his foot on his ground, he hints for a challenge.
“Tsk. You really don’t know what I’m capable of Luffy.”
“Okay, show me what you got," he asserts, walking towards him.
His red eyes shift to Luffy. He smiles at him. “Well, if it’s a fight you want. . . I’ll give you one.” In a swift movement he takes out his blade and prepares for an attack.
As he goes to swing, a blade intercepts, throwing it off to the side.
“Why you.” The vampire growls, snapping his neck to face the person.
“Zoro!” Luffy jolts in joy and runs to his first mate, embracing him. “When did you get here?”
“It reeked of bloodlust. What mess have you gotten yourself into?” He says, his eyes not leaving the attacker.
The vampire clutched his hat in annoyance, watching his mate throw himself on the unknown man left a sour taste in his mouth.
“How dare you interject in our matter,” He spat out, throwing his hat on the ground.
“Uh, Luffy. . . who is that?” Zoro questioned, lifting his swords up for battle.
Luffy let’s go of Zoro. “Oh, that’s-“
But before he could answer Law created a room.
“Shambles.”
A boulder is thrown at Zoro, who easily dodges it.
“Oh, this is getting exciting. Hey slanky branch, pick up your sword and fight like a real swordsman!”
The two smirk, riled up from a strong opponent.
“Wait, guys-" Luffy tried to get their attention, but nothing is getting through them.
“I’ll slaughter you into pieces,” Law hissed out.
Zoro’s eye widened at the sharp fangs. “Vampire. . ?” He grins. “Perfect.”
Law used telekinesis to levitate his sword at him. He picks up a small rock, throwing up in the air and he grabs it firmly in his palm. “Get ready, I won’t hold back.” Then he throws it at Zoro and before he could blink, the vampire was right in front of him.
“Holy sh-“
He swings the long blade at him. Zoro easily counters it with his two swords. He blocks it with great force, being slightly pushed back. The two are repelled backwards, analyzing each other’s strength.
“Huh, I guess I will be needing Wado Ichimonji after all.”
“Zoro wait!”
“What?!”
With Zoro looking away for a second, Law takes his chance to strike him. He barely dodges the attack.
“Law stop it! Zoro stay back!”
Zoro grunts, hesitant to pull back from the fight. “Fine,” he huffs, putting his swords in the sheath.
Luffy stands before the vampire, who is clearly enraged. “What’s gotten into you?”
“Captain!” Bepo wraps his arms around Law, picking him up from the ground. “Control yourself. You don’t want to hurt your mate, do you?”
Law snaps out of his bloodlust and turns his gaze at Luffy. “Fuck, what have I done.” His mate’s eyes are sharp, but soften. He turns away and heads towards Zoro.
“Bepo what happened?” Shachi exclaimed.
The Heart Pirates surround their captain, confused at the chaos at the coast. Bepo continues to squeeze Law, holding him in place. That’s when they notice Zoro and immediately up their guard.
“Luffy do you know this guy?” Penguin says, holding a long sharp rod.
“Hm? Oh, he’s my first mate.”
“Wait like mate or crewmate?”
Luffy bursts out in laughter. “You guys are funny.”
Law gave a nasty glare at Zoro and on the other hand, the swordsman yawns, unsatisfied with the fight. The vampire tries to wiggle out of Bepo’s arms, but the bear continues to put up a fight. He could easily break out of his hold; however, he would lose self-control. Law forced himself to resist his violent instincts.
“Hey, Luffy!”
“Huh?” The straw hat whips his head to the sea. It’s his ship, docked near the Polar Tang. Usopp waves alongside side Chopper from the rails of the deck.
Sanji jumps out of the ship and runs towards his captain. “Luffy you’re alive! Zoro jumped into the ocean without warning as we approached this island.”
Zoro scoffed. “Unlike you I’m always prepared for a fight.”
“What did you say? At least I didn’t recklessly jump overboard without knowing the situation!”
The two bickered as another voice caught his attention. “Luffy!” The red head girl uppercuts him on the jaw and banged his head to the ground. “Where have you been?! Did you know how much trouble we went to find you?!”
“Oh Nami. . .it’s nice to see you too,” he whimpered out, dropping his face onto the hot sand.
Law felt himself twitch. How dare this woman abuse his mate. “Don’t lay your filthy hands on him,” he growled. His red eyes appear once again, the struggle to contain him collapsed.
“Um guys, help!” Bepo said anxiously.
“Luffy who is that?” Nami said jolting back.
Penguin dropped his weapon and ran to help the bear. “Restrain him!” he yelled. Shachi and the rest of the crew circle around him and try to hold the angered vampire.
Usopp and Chopper hide behind Robin on the deck of the ship. Franky, Brook, and Jinbe approach the scene, lost at the chaos unfolding on the beach.
“Woah, what did I miss?” Franky said, taking his sunglasses off.
Jinbe walked next to Robin. “If I’m not mistaken. . .we’re in deep trouble if they set him loose.”
“Yes. We must stay alert,” Robin says, squinting her eyes at Law.
The Heart Pirates do their best to restrain their feral captain. He snarls at them, his fangs drawing dangerously close at them. Zoro watches the scene and turns to Luffy, waiting for a command.
“Say, what’s the deal with all of this? I thought he wanted to kill you? Now he’s gone mad after Nami smacked the shit out of you.”
Luffy only sighs. “It’s a long story, but we’re mates.”
“Mates? We have a new crewmember?”
“Uh, not exactly. . .”
“Well what do you mean Luffy? I don’t understand anything, why is he coming after me? You better do something!” Nami yells at him.
Law finally managed to free himself and lunged towards Nami. Luffy quickly interferes and punches him the gut. He then proceeds to pin him down on the ground. “Get a grip Torao!” He grits his teeth, as Law grunts in pain.
The vampire breaks out of trance and calms down.
“Fuck. I forget how strong you are.”
Luffy continues to hold him down and sits on him. “Why did you attack Nami?”
“Nami? Oh, her. . . she was hurting you.”
“I’m fine. That’s just how she is.”
He only gives him an apologetic nod and turns his gaze away. Luffy sighed deeply. “Why?” There goes that question again.
“Huh?”
“Why would you sink my ship with my crew aboard?”
“Tsk, I knew you would leave if they came back for you.”
“That’s no reason to kill my crew!” he raised his voice. “We could have figured something out, but now. . . I’m not so sure. . .”
Luffy releases him from his pinned state and proceeds to get off of him. Law sits up and grabs his wrist, pulling him towards him. “Mugi. . . don’t go. . .” he whispers out. “I can’t lose you. I’ve lost too many people in my life. I-I’m sorry. . .”
“Torao. . ?”
The vampire doesn’t look at him, his face points down. His hand trembles around his wrist. Luffy can feel the shift in his aura, it’s dark. The feeling of sadness fills his heart. It’s grieving, the human knows the feeling too well.
Law feels a cold breeze brush against his exposed hair. Before he could lift his head up, something covered the top of his head. “Huh?” He feels for it and the rough texture catches him off guard.
Law looks up at Luffy, he no longer wears his hat. “You look good in my straw hat.” That smile, that kind gentle smile. It captivates him. Without realizing, his cheeks glow bright pink.
"Pssst, Penguin, Shachi. . . is he. . . ya know, blushing?" Bepo teases, pointing at their captain. The two men look closely and are taken aback at the scene. They giggle, "Oh my, he is!"
On the other side of the beach, the rest of the Straw Hats join their crew, puzzled by the captains' quarrel and make-up.
"Uh, you guys. . . did you see that?" Usopp said.
Sanji starred in disbelief. "Don't tell me he's with that man. . ." He takes a puff of his cigarette and blows the pungent smoke out his mouth. "Well, I'll be damned."
"Not only that, but he also gave him his hat. He must be someone special," Franky commented. The rest nod in agreement.
Jinbe inspected Law and turned to Robin. "He's a vampire, correct?"
"It seems so. Sharp fangs and violent bursts of anger accompanied by red-shot eyes. . . all describes a vampire."
Chopper and Usopp scream in fear and hide behind them. "V-vampire?! Will he eat us?!" Usopp says, shaking in fear.
"I don't know. . . vampires can have an insatiable appetite, depleting you dry," she says coldly. Usopp's face turns pale.
Zoro only cackles out loud. "I knew it," he grins, almost excitedly.
"Is he dead too? It would be nice not to be the only one," Brook laughs.
It didn't take long for Law to realize that they were being watched by both parties. "What are you looking at?" he growls at Penguin and Shachi, who were fangirling. He hides his face from embarrassment with the straw hat. Luffy only laughs and stretches his arm to grab Law's leopard hat. He places it on his head and turns around to face his crew.
"Oh, sorry for worrying you all this time. No need to be alarmed, Torao won't bite," he flashes a toothy grin.
The Straw Hats look at each other, having little trust with that statement. Their captain jumps on the vampire's back and comfortably sits over his shoulder. "We'll talk later Torao; can you just be nice to my crew for now?" Luffy whispers in his ear. Law grumbles but complies to his mate's request.
"Okay you guys, meet Torao!"
"It's Trafalgar Law," he mumbles under his breath.
Robin gasps, her eyes widen at the revelation. "Are you that Trafalgar Law, the Surgeon of Death, the newest warlord?"
Everyone turns their gaze at Law, who only rolls his eyes.
"Warlord?!" Most of the crew yells out.
Luffy looks down at Law. "What? I didn't know that, that's so cool."
Nami facepalms. "What's wrong with you Luffy? You were hanging out with this man and didn't know this important piece of information. What if he turned you in?"
"Torao wouldn't do that, he's my mate," he grins, wrapping his arms around his neck, almost suffocating him.
Everyone's mouth hangs open at the sight. No way would their captain, the Monkey D. Luffy, would ever date someone, especially someone like Law.
"Oh yeah, meet Law's crew. The Heart Pirates were very nice to me," he says getting off of Law's shoulder and attaching himself over Bepo's back.
Zoro slowly approached the vampire. Law noticed and glared at him. "What do you want?" he mutters with a monotone voice.
"Do you perhaps know Dracule Mihawk, you are a warlord after all."
"No, I do not. Is it because we're both vampires? That's ridiculous." Law intended to be smart about it.
The swordsman didn't take that lightly, but only gave him a grin in return. "Well then, you wouldn't mind finishing our fight. I am curious to see your swordsmanship. It would be good practice, you're vampire and a swordsman like Mihawk."
"Heh, you think I would be light work for you? Think again."
The two men sized each other, but before they could escalate things, Luffy got in-between them. "Torao, didn't I say to be nice?" Law huffed in annoyance and backed away. Zoro did the same.
"Come on Zoro, you can fight him another time, but only if I could join in."
"Fine."
Luffy hugged him and picked him up off the ground. "I'll give him the last blow, he's pretty strong ya know."
Law locked his jaw, not only were they planning on ganging up on him, Luffy seems very fond of that man.
"I'm pretty strong too Luffy,” Zoro snapped at him.
"I know," he grins.
Sanji, feeling left out, joins in. “Hey, I can take on that vampire too!”
“Shut it cook, I called dibs first.”
“Hey! Don’t talk about our captain like he’s inferior to Mihawk, in fact, you guys are not match for him,” Bepo exclaimed.
Zoro could only laugh at that statement. "As if, your captain is the bootleg version of Mihawk. You could say he's practically copying him."
The Heart Pirates become visibly angry. Penguin picks up the rod from the ground and points it at Zoro. "I would be quiet if I were you. Don't forget you're on territory."
The swordsman's face darkened.
“Yeah, you’re on our turf, so why don’t you back off,” Shachi said, throwing a rock at Sanji.
Sanji angrily kicks the rock back at him. “You’re telling us of back off?! Well, we’re not!"
The tension rises between both parties and Luffy feels uneasy at the situation. Law noticed how uncomfortable his mate looked and immediately turned down the bickering from both of their crews.
“All of you shut the fuck up! You’re upsetting my mate.”
Both crews face the angered captain and at Luffy.
"Sorry captain," the Heart Pirates say.
Zoro and Sanji only back away, returning to their crew. "Luffy, are you really okay being with this man?" Jinbe asks as the Straw Hat's eagerly await his response.
"I am," he says firmly.
Usopp and Nami were about to protest but were cut off from Zoro. "He said he is okay with it,"—he proceeds to head back to the ship— “I'll be taking a nap if you need me."
Luffy watched as his first mate departed to the Sunny and sighs, "Look, I know we all started on the wrong foot, but me and Law are together now. We have to find a way to get along."
The vampire furrowed his eyebrows. "Pirates do not get along."
"But Torao," Luffy whines, giving him puppy eyes.
There he goes again, enchanting him with those brown doe eyes, he knows his weakness. Law could only grunt, "Fine, but I don't promise you anything."
Luffy hugs him. "Thank you."
"So, what now?" Bepo stands besides Law and tilted his head for a response. The vampire looked at his crew and back at the Straw Hats. Great, more people. This was supposed to be his solitary paradise.
"Let's head to the castle. We'll figure something out."
"What, a castle?!" Chopper stoked in excitement.
Luffy cackled at this reaction. "Wait till see you what's inside. Come on, follow me."
The Straw Hats follow their captain, their eyes not leaving the vampire as they walked by. Law could care less about what they thought of him, he only cared about Luffy. Still, his mate will not be fond of him being rude.
"Tsk."
Law follows after them, with this crew already ahead of him. He takes one last look at Zoro, who watched him like a hawk. It would not be easy for avoid further confrontation, but something about the swordsman ticked his nerves. He put aside the thought and prepared to interact with the rest of the Straw Hats. His hell was about to commence.

Circus Freaks
LA Buggy x Fem Reader
Dark themes, Mention of suicide (not towards reader)
Previous Chapters: Part 1, Part 8
Tumblr media
Previously: With the delivery of an invitation, Y/n's presence is needed at the Abask mansion. Dinner with the Abask men goes smoothly before a surprising proposal for marriage is announced. As it turns out, the Ti’s debt is one of the factors for the proposition. Now, Y/n must decide on her answer.
A/n: Information in this chapter refers back to Part 4
Part 9: Arising Tensions
Ruckus fills the ring of the circus tent. Props fly left and right as Buggy goes on a rampage. He throws everything in sight, the empty chests are thrown onto the bleachers, breaking at the force.
“Buggy! Calm down!”
“How do you expect me to stay calm when another man wants you?”
“Buggy please, just listen!”
He stops and snaps his head at her. “Will you except?”
Y/n stays quiet.
“I said, will you except?” his tone stern.
“I-I don’t want to, but. . .”
The pirate approaches her and harshly yanks her towards him. “But what?”
“It’s complicated Buggy. Trust me, I don’t want to marry Yasi.”
“Okay, whatever it is. . . we can just kill them and be done with this.”
“No! Buggy, we can’t kill them. Murder isn’t the answer.”
The pirate rolls his eyes. Everything would be solved if they could get rid of them.
“I need to speak to my sister and her parents.”
“Why’s that?”
“Yasi’s father is threatening their home with the marriage.”
“Damn bastard.”
Y/n goes to sit on the empty bleachers and Buggy follows after her. Her elbows press against her thighs, resting her face on her hands. “I don’t know what to do. The land they have has been passed down through generations. I wished they would have mentioned the debt to me. Even so, I’m pretty sure he’s been scheming this for a while.”
"I heard he gives out loans to the townspeople and makes it impossible to pay it back."
"Yeah, it's what he does. He also owns a lot of the farming land here; my adoptive parents are one of the few families that own property besides the Abasks." She pauses and takes a deep breath. "Yasi mentioned something to me earlier and it has been bothering me ever since."
Buggy raises his eyebrow at the statement. "What was it?"
"I think he's genuinely terrified of his father. He said someone will get hurt if we don't go along with Kija's plans."
"What?!" Buggy yells out. He begins to manically laugh before wheezing out loud. Cabaji, who silently stood at the whole scene, began to creep away. "Where do you think you're going?"
"Who, me?"
"Yes, dumbass. Who else? Geez." Buggy facepalms. “Well, that bastard has no idea who he’s dealing with.”
Y/n tilts her head in confusion. “Are you saying that you can go against the Abasks?”
“Darling, we are pirates. The sea is much tougher than that old prune.”
Cabaji cracks up at his captain’s words. “Y/n, do you really think we’re afraid of that man?” Buggy scoffs, a moment ago Cabaji was sneaking away.
“Well, it never occurred to me that they’re people who can stand up against him. He’s basically a tyrant on this island.”
"He won't be for long."
"Oh,"— Cabaji cuts—" Y/n, I have to show you this. "
Y/n's ears perk up. "What is it?"
The acrobat hesitantly takes out a folder from his stash bag. "Y/n. . . I didn't want to add more to your stress, but you have to know."
"What do you mean?" She walks to the pirate, her full attention set on the closed file. Carefully, she opens it, going through the numerous pages. One document in particular catches her eye.
“He killed my father. . ..”
Buggy’s ears perk at the word. “Who?”
She gulps in the silence that fills the ring.
"It was the mayor. . ."
Y/n's face scrunched in confusion. All this time, she was right. "I knew it!" she gleams in joy. Buggy and Cabaji tilt their heads, shocked to see her happy. "I knew he would never kill my mother!"
"Uh, what do you mean?"
Overrun by excitement, she trembles, barely managing her emotions. "It was said that my dad fatally shot my mom and then killed himself. This shows that it was all a lie," she shouts, waving the paper in the air.
"So, is he 15? The one from the other letters?" Buggy asks.
"I don't know, the letter is written to Kija and it is signed by the mayor. He just gives him a notice about the death, no other information is provided."
Buggy pondered on that. It seems too good to be true. "Cabaji, where did you find it?"
"It was in a safe from his office. I may have broken it, but that's not the problem at the moment."
"Great, very suspicious." He rolled his eyes. “And where exactly was it located at?”
“Behind a large painting.”
That is a very common hiding spot, maybe the old hag is dumb. Still, Buggy thought the letter was too convenient, but he didn’t want to ruin Y/n's joy.
“What do you plan to do?” he asks.
Her smile fades. What is she going to do? “I. . . don’t know. . .”
Buggy couldn’t help but feel sorry for the young woman, so naive. Luckily for her, he already has a diabolical plan in mind.
“Don’t worry about it.”
“Huh?”
He rests his arm on her shoulder, giving her a smug look. “This whole situation is pissing me off. The marriage, Yasi, and now this.” He takes the paper from her hands and gives it to Cabaji.
“Leave it all to me. You no longer have to deal with the matter.”
“Are you talking about the marriage or. . ?”
“Like I said, leave it to me.” Buggy pecks her on the cheek and shoos her away. “Don’t you have to talk to your sister?”
She hesitantly walks away. “Uh yes, but-“
“Come on go. I have work to do.”
In defeat, she sighs. “Okay, just don’t kill anyone.”
Buggy crosses his fingers behind his back. “Mhm.” No promises. She squints her eyes at him before turning away and leaving the tent.
“So captain, what are you planning?” Cabaji asks.
“Get Mohji, looks like we have to speak to mayor once again. I guess our little talk didn’t work last time,” he chuckles darkly.
.°˖✧.°˖✧
“Wakey wakey sleeping beauty.”
Cold water splashes over the mayor’s face. Awakening in such a freight, he is incoherent, frantically looking around the darkness that fills his bedroom. He violently coughs out the water than he breathed in.
The lamp on his bedside table turns on, illuminating his view.
“Boo.”
He jumps back at the appearance of the deranged clown.
“What the hell?! What are you doing here?!”
The clown draws back, circling around his bed. The mayor grips his bedsheets, his eyes never leaving the man. He’s not alone either, two of his subordinates are with him. He remembers them well. Maniacs.
“W-what do you want? I thought we settled this on our last ordeal.”
Buggy moves his pointer finger in disapproval. “Tsk, tsk, tsk. . . that was then and this is now,”— he stops— “something else has popped up.”
“Whatever it is, you know I didn’t snitch to Kija,” he quickly states.
Buggy walks to the opposite side of the bed, sitting down on the nice cushion. “No, it’s nothing of that matter.” His hand reaches out to inside of his coat and pulls out a folded piece of paper. “Do you know what this is Mr. Dun? Or should I say 15?”
Mr. Dun eyes widen at the code name. He snatches the paper out of his hand. “Where did you get this?”
“That is none of your concern. What’s important is whether you’re 15 or not.”
“15? I don’t know what’s the meaning of this. Why do you care about Zimik anyway?”
Irritated by this, he grabs the mayor by the collar of his neck and pulls out a knife, pressing it against his skin. “I’m the one asking questions here. Did you or did you not kill Zimik?”
“No. I would never kill Zimik, he was a good friend of mine.”
Buggy lets go of his collar, annoyed by his response. “Tsk, you better not be lying to me. You know what will happen if you are,” he smirks, waving the blade over his face.
“N-no, please. . . you can’t release that information to the public.”
“So then answer my question.”
“I told you I’m not involved in Zimik’s death.”
“Are you sure? I’m pretty sure the town would be shocked to hear that you’re Kija’s little bitch.”
The mayor grits. “I’m telling you the truth. There is no evidence to pinpoint this at me.”
Buggy rolls his eyes. “Fine. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. Let’s go.” he waves for Mohji and Cabaji to exit the room. Leaving Mr. Dun in a petrified state.
“Shit.” He waits for time to pass before dialing his snail transponder. It rings for a while until someone picks up the line. “I’m sorry for calling this late, but this is urgent.”
“It better be important for waking me up this late.”
“It’s Buggy. He’s accusing me of Zimik’s death.”
“. . .”
The person doesn’t say word.
“Hello? This isn’t funny.”
“Where the hell did that clown get that information?”
“I don’t know, but he's threatening me again. I have a feeling it won't be long before he finds out I've been communicating with you.”
"Well then, I will have to put a stop to that clown. I found something very interesting about him, I am sure it will drive him away," the voice chuckles.
"What is it?"
"You'll find out soon enough." With that, the call ends. Mr. Dun angrily throws the snail transponder across the room. A cold sweat runs down his forehead, he feels cornered between two beasts. What will he do now?
.°˖✧.°˖✧
"Lyla! Are you home?"
The door swings open. "Y/n? What's with the urgency?"
Y/n enters inside of her sister’s home without saying a word. Lyla looks at her confused. “Hey what’s gotten into you? You don't barge into someone’s home you know.”
“I’m sorry. . . it’s just there’s a lot going on.”
“What do you mean? Come on take a seat,” she says pointing at her sofa, where the two take a seat.
“I just wanted to ask you something.”
“What is it?
“Did you know that we’re in debt?”
“Debt? What are you talking about?”
“Your parents. . . they owe a lot of money to Kija.”
Lyla’s eyes widen as she got up from her seat. “They owe who money?!” She tugs on her hair, pacing back and forth from her spot. “You’re lying. They wouldn’t be, right?”
Y/n sighs, “The man told me himself.”
“What?! When?!”
“It’s a long story. . .”
“Well, I want to hear every single detail, you better not hide anything from me.” Her voice stern.
Y/n looks around the room, avoiding eye contact with her sister. She wasn’t sure if she should tell her everything, but there’s no backing out. She takes a deep breath. “Yasi’s father wants me to marry his son,” she manages to spit out.
Lyla mouth drops wide open. “Oh my god. . . that’s ridiculous. What does that have to with anything?”
“You see, he’s using the marriage as a way to pay for their debt. . . I would be a method of payment.”
“What the fuck y/n?! You’re not money, you’re a human being. You can’t accept, we have to find another way.”
“Look, we need to speak to your parent’s first, but who knows when they’re coming back. I have a feeling Kija sent them away for this reason.”
Lyla slumps on the couch, running her hands through her hair. She sighs, “Do you know the amount of money they need? Maybe I can my husband for help.”
“I’m working on a plan as well.”
“What is it?”
“Uhh. . .”— Y/n fidgets her fingers— “It’s. . . rather complicated. . .”
“Come on, tell me. You know we don’t keep secrets from each other,” she says holding her hand. “We can’t let that bastard win.”
“Just promise to keep it secret.” Lyla nods, squeezing the palm of her hand. “I’m with the clown. . . he’s finding a way to solve our problem.”
“You’re with that clown?! That pirate?!” she yells in shock. “Girl, how long have you been with him?! Why haven’t you told me?”
Y/n covered her ears from her sister’s loud voice. She is angry and rightfully so. They never kept secretes from each other. “I-I’m sorry. I didn’t know what you’d say if I told you I’m dating a pirate.”
“Y/n a pirate? I know he’s a clown, but do you know the reputation they carry? They are not good people.”
“Y-you don’t know him. . .” her voice cracked.
“But do you know him? He’s only been here for a short time.”
This time Y/n froze. It is true. . . she knows nothing of him, but his circus act. Who is he truly? Her hands behind to shake and were immediately ceased by another pair of hands.
Lyla eyes softened as she sighed. “It’s okay, as long as he treats you right. It’s just. . . I never saw it coming.”
“Neither did I.” Y/n felt confused, she’s known about her partaking in the circus, what’s so different this time? Either way, she rather not argue with her.
“Well, I’m sure a pirate has their ways to bribe people. I think he’s just the guy to go against the Abasks. Still, I will talk to Walo about the situation; after all, he works for them.”
“I just hope everything works out. I’m not sure how long we have before they lose it all.”
Lyla goes to embrace Y/n, holding her tight in her arms. “Don’t worry, we won’t let him win.” She let’s go and grabs her shoulders, adding a bit pressure to them. “Just be careful. . . pirates are dangerous, I don’t want you getting hurt. I can’t tell you what to do, you’re an adult. You know what you’re doing, remember that.”
And all Y/n did was nod in agreement.
.°˖✧.°˖✧
Dusk hit the island as Y/n returned to the circus grounds. Buggy’s hoarse voice became louder at each step. She opened the tent and found herself in the middle of a commotion at the ring.
“What do you mean they saw you?!”
“I-I’m sorry, I didn’t know they were home.”
“Shit, can you fuckers do anything right?”
He tightened his fist around his throat and squeezed tightly. “Don’t fuck up again, we can’t let our act fall apart.” With one final squeeze her lets go. The man gasps out for air.
Y/n watched in horror. Has he’s always been this way?
“Buggy you almost killed him!”
“So?”— the pirate turns to face the voice— “Oh- darling, you’re back.”
“Um. . .”
He looks at her and back down at his subordinate.“Don’t worry about it. He’s fine. Besides, he was careless. We don’t want the attention on us while Kija is planning to have a wedding.”
Y/n only stared at Buggy.
Buggy huffed. “Baby, forget about it. Come on, it’s getting late, you should get some sleep.”
“Yeah. . .” she replied, walking away from the scene.
Dangerous. Should she be worried? No. . . Buggy wouldn’t hurt her. Well, he did tie her up that one time and destroyed her doll, but he’s changed. . . or so she thought. He’s a captain, he has to put his crew in order. That’s all it was, discipline.
She looks back at Buggy who dismissed the man. The large purple bruise marks cover his throat. She felt herself wince at the sight as she grabbed her own. The pirate has incredible strength, she’s felt it first-hand. Lyla is right, maybe she should be careful around these people. She takes one last look, as Buggy pulled out three blades from his coat and began his target practice. What is this plan he’s talking about? Whatever it is, she hopes no one loses their life.

A/N: Okay, this took forever to write and it's kinda boring. I was really stuck on writing this for a while, but I think it should be easy from here on out.

My two fave chars in anime sharing the same English and Japanese VA is so comfy. I stan both Hiroshi Kamiya and Matt Mercer to infinity and beyond their voices melt me into a puddle on the floor.

Also realizing Law and Levi are the same character in different fonts. I love seeing their angry little faces get beat up. Chef’s kiss.

Vampire AU pt.3
Vampire Law x Human Luffy
Tumblr media
Law is in a dilemma :3
Previous -> Part 2 Next -> Part 4
Deep within the water approaches a large metallic machine. The famous yellow submarine, the Polar Tang, belonging to the Heart Pirates. The sub resurfaces as it nears the island. The airtight door swings open.
“We finally get to see Captain!” Bepo glimmers in excitement. The polar bear runs out the deck, setting his eyes on the vampire’s castle. “Hurry, I can’t wait to see him!”
“Calm down Bepo. What’s the rush?” Shachi says, entering the deck. Penguin who follows behind, sighs. “We’re almost there.”
It wasn’t long before the sub docked at the coastline. The weather is fairly warm, when they embarked, the island was full of snow.
“Okay you guys unload the cargo. We’re going to report to the captain,” Bepo says. Shachi and Penguin accompany the bear to the vampire’s castle. As they approach the large building, a strange patch on a wall catches their attention.
“Uhh, has it always looked that way?” Shachi questioned.
Penguin takes a closer look at the repair. “This seems new. I wonder what happened? Captain wouldn’t allow his home to be damaged like this.”
The trio shrugs it off and head inside the castle’s main gate. Once stepping foot inside the cold building, they call out for Law. “Captain! We have arrived!” Their voices echo throughout the lonely space, each letter of their spoken words bounce off the crumbling stones. The vibration eventually fades into silence.
Soon after, an odd noise is heard from beyond the main lobby. “Captain?”
No answer.
With no response, they proceed to follow the noise. As they walk closer to the kitchen, the sound of gnawing becomes increasingly loud. Strange they think. Arriving at the location of the weird sound, they stop outside the entryway. Penguin slowly peaks from the door frame, with Bepo and Shachi slowly leaning in. That’s when they come in contact with a particular fellow, stuffing his face in the refrigerator.
The trio makes eye contact with the stranger, who stops mid bite.
“Intruder!” Bepo screams.
The strange fellow happens to be the straw hat. Startled by the scream, Luffy drops the piece of meat he held.
“Ah, who are you guys?!”
“Who are we?! Who are you?!” Shachi points at him.
Bepo and Penguin go into attack mode, blocking the only exit out of the kitchen. Shachi grabs the nearest object he finds and flings a saucepan at the trespasser. Luffy doges it, capturing the pan in the process and throws it back at him. The pan flies straight at his face, knocking him to the ground. Penguin scrambles in the kitchen cabinets, throwing every utility he finds at Luffy. He counters the attack by swinging the empty fridge at the attackers. Bepo panics, moving away from the exit. Luffy takes the opportunity to run out.
“What’s all the commotion?”
Bepo cries out in joy, "Captain!”
Luffy immediately hides behind Law, who holds Kikoku out, ready to slash the blood out of its victims.
“Captain, behind you! We have an intruder!”
“Who?” He looks behind him to find the trespasser and sees no one but Luffy. The straw hat peaks from behind. “Torao they started attacking me,” he says pointing at them.
The vampire sighs, putting away his sword and wraps his arm around Luffy’s waist. “Listen up, this is Luffy, my mate. You three better not bother him,” his says sternly.
“MATE?!” they shout in disbelief.
“You mean as in crewmate, right?!” Shachi says, holding onto his throbbing face.
“No.”
"Then. . . he's-" Cutting Penguin's sentence, Luffy wraps his stretchy arms around Law's torso and climbs over his back, resting his face on the crook of his neck. "Torao says I belong to him. Is that how the mate thing works?" he asks, nibbling on his earlobe.
“WHAT?!” In utter shock, Law's subordinates only stare at the scene. The vampire grunts at the human's public display of affection. It embarrassed him.
“Luffy meet my crew: Bepo, Shachi, and Penguin.”
Luffy's eyes glimmer in awe, setting his gaze at the polar bear in front of him. “I didn’t know you’re a pirate Torao and there’s a bear, can I touch him?”
“I’m on a hiatus at the moment.”
“So, is he technically apart of us now?” Bepo asks, hesitantly stepping away from Luffy as he tries to pet him.
“Nope, I’m already a captain of my own crew," the straw hat chuckles, finding himself over the bear's shoulders.
Law is baffled by this. “You’re a captain? Why haven’t you mentioned it?” Ignoring Bepo’s pleas for help.
“Well, you never asked and to be fair you didn’t tell me either.” He shrugs.
“But where’s your crew?”
“Oh that. . . I got lost and drifted on this island. My crew is fine, they’ll find me in no time.”
Law doesn’t take this information lightly. What does this mean for their new relationship? Two captains, two crews, two ships, they would only drift apart. Even though he’s taking a break at piracy to relax on this island, will Luffy leave once his crew finds him? No, he won’t let him.
Shachi and Penguin burst out in laughter. "We don't believe it cap, how did you bag such a cutie?"
The vampire growls, "It's none of your business. Anyway, where is the rest of my crew?"
"Oh, they're unloading the submarine at this moment. We went ahead to report our arrival."
"A SUBMARINE?!" Luffy yells, tugging onto Bepo's fur. "Ow, don't pull on my fur,” he winces.
"Please take me to it! I want to see it!"
Law facepalms. "Bepo, take him to see the sub. He won't stop until he gets what he wants."
The bear had no other choice, but to take his captain's mate with him. "Yes, captain. Now Luffy, can you please stop tugging my hair. It hurts."
"Oh, I'm sorry." He jumps from his back and gives him a grin. "Now, let's go." He grabs Bepo's hand and drags him along. As Luffy runs out of the doors, Law calls for his subordinates.
“Listen you two, I have an important task for you and the rest of the crew.”
Shachi and Penguin gave each other puzzled looks. “What is it captain?”
“Eliminate any vessel that comes our way,” Law’s eyes bloody red.
The two men shiver at his demeanor. Would he really do something that rash? Whatever it is, he’s dead serious, no debating his order.
“Aye aye captain.”
.𖥔 ݁ ˖౨ৎ.𖥔 ݁ ˖-`♡´-.𖥔 ݁ ˖౨ৎ.𖥔
The rest of the Heart Pirates had the same reaction as the trio. No one could believe the loner of their captain could ever find love, no offense. It amused them, more so the energetic personality of the younger man. He is the exact opposite of Law. The straw hat is expressive, outgoing, and the life of the party. Luffy fits in right with them, another addition to annoy the vampire.
“Are you okay Torao?”
The crew have settled in their resting places, either in the castle or in the Polar Tang. Law has been awfully quiet, more than usual. He sat alone on a rock on the shore, staring into the ocean. Luffy sense a change in his mate’s aura and accompanies him. He snuggles against the vampire as they both watch the sun set.
“I’m fine.”
He maintains his gaze at the never-ending body of water, almost as if he’s searching for something. Luffy wonders what ponders his mind. “You seem off. Was it me?”
Law immediately snaps out of his trance and turns to face his mate. “Why do you say that?”
“I dunno. . . maybe I wasn’t paying enough attention to you today.”
He gently placed his hand on his cheek, rubbing his thumb against his soft rubbery skin. “No, it’s not that. You did nothing wrong mugiwara-ya.” The human’s eyes shimmer and he leans to his warm touch. “I’m glad that my crew accepts you.”
“They were all very nice to me. I had fun hanging out with them.”
“I’m happy to hear that. They would have faced my wrath if they didn’t,” his words soft but direct.
“Torao, it’s okay if they don’t. As long as you like me, that’s all that matters,” he grins.
The vampire gives him a soft smile before pecking his tempting lips. Luffy stares into his golden orbs, caught in the intimate touch, melting away at the caress of his hand. He wants more and leans in to touch the vampire’s lips. The kiss is gentle, sharing a meaningful moment with one another. Luffy can feel his skin rub against the large fangs, it didn’t bother him at all. He enjoyed the thrill of the possibility of being cut, as strange as it seems.
Law catches his bottom lip, nibbling on it softly, carefully avoiding stabbing it with his sharp teeth. The kiss deepens, feeling on each other with no care in the world. He holds him with all his might, thinking back on before. Luffy would eventually meet up with his own pirate crew. The thought of his mate leaving caused his heart to drop. A feeling he’s felt numerous times in his life and this time. . . it will not happen again.
He suddenly breaks the kiss, leaving the straw hat craving for more. “Say Luffy. . . you wouldn’t leave me, right?”
The human looks at him dumbfounded. Why would he bring a question like that up?
“Torao, of course I wouldn’t.”
That was all the confirmation Law needed. He can rest easy, for now.
“Do you want to continue this in bed?”
Luffy feels his skin flush. He nods his head, shyly looking at the ground. With two simple words, they both land on the soft cushion of his bed. Law immediately towers over him, attacking his lovely neck. He fights the urge to bite him, tonight he only wants to focus on loving him- no blood or sex, simply to show he enjoys his presence.
Law connects their lips once more, guiding his tongue inside his wet cavern. They indulge in an erotic kiss, feeling on each other’s tongues. Luffy hums, sucking on the vampire’s tongue and briefly let's go of it before pulling on his bottom lip. They stop for a moment, panting filling the dark room.
“Mugiwara-ya.”
“Hmm?” Luffy says in a daze.
“Join my crew.”
The human only laughs, but Law’s face turns to a scowl, only for a few seconds.
“I mean it Luffy.”
Luffy stops his laughter, opening his eyelids to view his lover. His smile turns upside down. He would never leave his position as captain, but now. . . he’s unable to give him an answer.
“Law, can we talk about this another time. . .” His eyes trail away.
The vampire expression changes as he sighs. Great, he ruined the moment. "Okay, just think about it."
He slumps on his side, facing away from Luffy. The human peaks over and thinks to himself. He's been with Law for a short time, their relationship moved fast, fully trusting each other since the bite mark. Luffy goes to touch the faded mark on his nape, it is not visible, but he feels it. He belongs to him; he remembers the words the vampire told him that day. Anger begins to rise inside of him, he would never let anyone control him. Is it the mark that's making him feel this way? There would only be one way to find out if he truly loves him. Once his crewmates find him, he will have to decide.
For now, Luffy tries not to dwell on it. He scoots closer to Law and places his head near his shoulder. Law looks back at his mate and swallows to clear his dry throat. He faces the younger man and embraces him. The couple drift into their slumber, questions and doubts continuing to fill their minds.
