Healing is possible for everyone. The frustrating part is that everyone heals at different paces, and not everything that may have helped one person will benefit another in the same way. It's important to be gracious towards those who have a harder time managing their mental health. They'll get there with love and patience, not cruelty and discouragement. There is no reason not to be kind. Life is far, far too short to be caught up in bitterness and anger.

Reflective Ramble

Reflecting on my long break from Tumblr. I got off Tumblr back a few years ago, just before I started college. Used it a lot for venting back in the day, since no one else I knew irl had it. But when I was faced with the next phase of my life, I decided to delete everything I had on here and forget about it.

But I'll have to say, I miss it. I'm not cut out for the modern flow of most social media - I guess Tumblr feels special that way. It's not so fast paced. I can really get my thoughts down here.

So three(?) years later, I'm back. And I'm a completely different guy than I was back in high school. The long hair with that wild purple streak is gone, as is the perpetual flannel and beanie. But I'll admit, I still love emo music. Even if I don't exactly fit the look anymore, haha!

I'm currently a psychology major, and I'm the happiest I've ever been. I have a girlfriend who loves me, even if I'm a bit of a dork. I'm so lucky to have the life I have today, especially considering everything that happened back in high school.

It really is possible to turn your life around. ^-^

Packing for my upcoming junior year! Loved being back in my hometown in Ohio over summer break, got to visit family, and my old high school best friend. I'm excited to be going back to school though, missed my girlfriend. She's everything. ^u^
