*Strong inhale*
GOTT CD DRIVE
me: okay, I’m just gonna watch the original LazyTown stage plays to pass some time, they’re probably gonna be super cringy and awkward and nothing like the tv series
me for the past 48 hours after watching it: *aggressively singing along to all the songs on repeat and butchering the Icelandic language while crying over how much I love these characters*

Viltu læra íslensku? (Do you want to learn Icelandic?) from Tungumálatorg
I’VE BEEN WATCHING THIS SERIES TO LEARN ICELANDIC FOR LIKE A WEEK AND JUST NOW DO I REALISE THAT THIS BISH
IS THE SAME FUCKING BISH AS THIS
I COULD’VE SWORN I RECOGNISED THAT LACK OF LIPS ON THE FIRST EPISODE BUT SINCE THE FUCKER PLAYS A CANADIAN WHO IS LEARNING ICELANDIC, I HAD MY DOUBTS
*ahem* anyways if you want to know what Goggi looked like in 2003, you can go ahead and watch the series, it’s actually pretty good if you wanna get familiar with Icelandic pronunciation and life in Iceland.

In memory of Stefan Karl: a playlist of all the Grinch-related videos I can find (promos, scenes, interviews, behind the scenes etc).
Considering there isn’t a full-length recording of the show, these videos are a nice way to still enjoy his performance. There’s a surprising amount of them and some have almost no views. Let me know if there’s any missing!
Stefan played this character on stage for many years and poured as much of his heart and soul into this role as he did into Robbie Rotten, so let’s show the Grinch some appreciation. :)

concept: stingy spends his birthday at home without everyone else bc his dad always comes home and it's special. also concept: his dad forgets one year and stingy is waiting all day home alone and cries bc even his birthday isn't important enough anymore and for the first time he doesn't feel like he's worth anything at all
I can see stingy being really excited to celebrate his tenth birthday because he’s finally a decade old, and calling his father almost every day a week before his party to remind him that he promised he would go. Like he would decorate his house too to bottom in hopes that he would somehow impress his father with the amount of work he put in and even gets milford to help him bake his own cake.
So on the day of his party he outs on his best outfit so he can look like a sharp bday boy when mr. Spoilero arrives. Him and piggy waits there at the kitchen table with all his gifts (mostly from himself) for hours thinking his father missed his plane and tells piggy not to worry because he’s just “late”.
but he doesn’t show up at all

Things I have seen this TV show aimed at-what, 6-8 year-old children?- reference:
Sleepless in Seattle:
The mirror scene from Duck Soup:
Spartacus:
Apocalypse Now:
James Bond:
Get Smart:
…this:
Hitchhiker’s Guide (I know someone’s caught “what is 42″ on one of Pixel’s computer screens, but I can’t find it myself.)
The Pink Panther, complete with Stefán Karl doing Inspector Clouseau, which is one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen.
Breakfast at Tiffany’s:
Monty Python:
Doctor Who (classic Doctor Who, at that):
Ghostbusters:
and Indiana Jones:
(Feel free to add, I’m sure there’s more I missed/forgot about.)
