פרשת נשא | מהמשכן אל הלב: מסע רוחני במדבר החיים 🌟

Parshat Naso: "The Mishkan Within Us – A Journey of Boards, Curtains, and Vessels"

Dear friends,

Our Torah portion this week, Parshat Naso, describes the inauguration of the Mishkan – a defining moment in the journey of the people in the desert. The Mishkan, the portable house of God, symbolizes for us the inner temple that we build in our souls.

The Boards: The pillars of the Mishkan, overlaid with gold, symbolize the foundations of our faith. "And they shall make the boards for the Mishkan of acacia wood, standing upright" (Exodus 26:15) – a reminder to stand firm in our values.

The Curtains: The curtains of the Mishkan, made of rams' skins dyed red, and blue, and purple, symbolize love and compassion. "And you shall make curtains of goats' hair for a tent over the Mishkan; eleven curtains you shall make them" (Exodus 26:7) – a reminder of the multitude of acts of kindness.

The Vessels: The menorah, the table, and the altar symbolize our good deeds, our prayers, study, and mitzvot. "And you shall make a menorah of pure gold; of beaten work shall the menorah be made" (Exodus 25:31) – a reminder to do good deeds with joy.

Building the Inner Mishkan: We are all building our inner Mishkan, day after day. Every good deed is like another brick in this magnificent building. Let us draw inspiration from the Mishkan and strive to build ourselves with boards of faith, curtains of love, and vessels of good deeds.
