I yearn to feel this thunderous love inside. The heartbeat of passion and constant murmur of desire. Like the sun going out in a blaze of glory. But there is also beauty in the soft pink of a setting sun over a calm sunny day. A promise that as the colour bleeds into nothingness that it will still be back tomorrow bringing the same wonder and hope. Like the pitter patter of rain, that nurtures and bathes the world with love and lulls it into a calm slumber. Ever sat on a roller coaster ride? Or rather, do you remember your first one? at first it’s the excitement that you are going to attempt it and you get in this long, snaking line. As you come closer and you hear the screaming of people on rides and the grating noise as the cars brake and turn on those vicious curves your heart starts palpitating. Did I maybe pick the wrong ride? But then you still push yourself for that high and adrenaline of speed. It’s not a joke when they say need for speed. And finally you get into your seat and the car starts it’s first ascent. that’s when you think of all the bad decisions you’ve ever made, including sitting in this rust bucket of a roller coaster that is soon going to hurtle to some insane depth at inhuman speed. But the moment you are off that cliff’s edge and racing down you forget every thing else and enjoy the rest of the madness. I would say every new change and twist in life is like a roller coaster ride. And the last few months have definitely been crazy and extremely nerve racking for me. But at the same time so fulfilling. Like the feeling you get when you finish ride and get off and think maybe I should do one more round of this. I’m sure to pick more roller coasters like this for sure. And yes I’m back to posting.
