[vegyn - a dream goes on forever] i was kinda dismissive of this song bc the sentimental mood and minimal beat reminded me of the 2010s jazz hiphop sound (u get nujabes at best, tackiness at worst) but im actually v into it now…

the heart of the song is the john glacier feature.. the monotone delivery brings an introspective edge to the melancholic instrumentals and its rly needed

its the best song on the album, but overall i enjoy the latter half of the album more

mad cooking machine shud be like 7 minutes long…. i LOVE verse 2. the ooh ooh oohs at the end shud go into a long breakdown. n then maybe a deep house outro w the arpeggios. for a song called mad cooking machine they shoulda cooked harder.. per chance

the grim n futuristic soundscape feels v immersive, thanks to the atmospheric production. the mix of industrial and dance sounds never made me bored. nothing is sticking to me after the initial listen… but i appreciate the environment-driven approach of the production and storytelling

mona lisa: what a delightful second verse, but the chorus is not pleasant at all. the mix feels weird too; for example, at the very start her voice sounds compressed and grating.

the b-sides r more enjoyable… but i probably wont go back to any of them

cant believe we got a new daoko album… and i just listened to all of it. a lot of fun electrohouse sounds but nothing exactly stuck to me except for track 7
