Statement about NSFW Tag for Deltarune

Hi everyone!  Since the community was split on this vote for pretty much the whole time, I contacted Toby Fox via email to get his opinion.

I just received an email from him (oh my god???) with a statement about the NSFW tag for Deltarune:

In other words, he does not want us to use “deltaruin” for the tags!!! As per his words, I am going to suggest #deltaruined for the NSFW tag (he could have said “go with deltarut” as I made a very direct question to him, but he chose to write this instead).

So, while the community did decide to do “deltaruin” (by a VERY small margin over “deltarut”) as of the time of this writing, I think we ought to listen to Toby’s suggestion here.

Please use #deltaruined for the NSFW tag.

If you are considering meeting up with someone online use this trick identify who really are who they claim to be:

1. Ask them to Skype 2. If they refuse or can’t for some reason ask for a current selfie 3. If they also refuse or can’t do not meet up with them 4. If they provide one ask them to send another with them holding 3 fingers up 5. If they refuse read step 3 6. If they provide a selfie where they show 3 fingers they are probably for real

I SAY THIS FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY please spread this message as more and more young people are lured out into situations where they get kidnapped because they weren’t 100% sure the person they were talking to was real.

It’s October 4th. The DEMO (first chapter) of my game is supposed to come out on Halloween. Actually it was done a little while ago but I’m waiting for the translation to be finished. I feel like I should address what I think people will think before the game comes out. Of course, if I’m all wrong about this, then I just wasted my time, but…

QUESTIONS I PREDICT PEOPLE HAVE

1. “Is this a sequel? What’s going on?? I’m scared…”

Please don’t worry too much about that.

Actually, I’m worried if people worry too much about “what it is,” they might not be able to properly enjoy it… (laugh)

I will say that basically, what you’re seeing here is not the world of UNDERTALE.

UNDERTALE’s world and ending are the same as however you left them.

If everyone was happy in your ending, the people in the UNDERTALE world will still be happy.

So, please don’t worry about those characters, and that world. It will remain untouched.

To rephrase that, DELTARUNE’s world is a different one.

With different characters, that have lived different lives.

A whole new story will happen…

I don’t know what you call this kind of game.

It’s just a game you can play after you complete UNDERTALE, if you want to.

That's very very interesting. But also sad.

Deltarune’s world is Wrong. Everyone is on the surface, Asriel is alive, as is Kris, but things are Wrong. Your choices don’t matter.

Sure, the monsters of undertale are (mostly) alive and on the surface, but they’re not at their fullest potentials. Undyne and Alphys don’t even know each other. Alphys is a school teacher instead of a scientist, and the monsters previously saved with Determination (the amalgams from the True Lab) are buried in the graveyard. Bratty and Catty are sworn rivals. Mettaton hides away inside, claiming he’s just a nobody. The royal guards are just friends, not more. Trying to talk to any of them has no effect on any of this. They’re all left in a strange parody of what you, the player, know they could be.

It’s heaven, but a heaven without choice.

Hence the Delta Rune.

In Undertale, Gerson claims that the true message of the royal symbol (aka the Delta Rune) has been lost to time. In either Deltarune or Undertale (I forget, sorry), the meaning is speculated: three heroes will come to banish the angel’s heaven.

They will reset the universe and introduce the ability to choose. They cause the events of Undertale, a world full of both joy and suffering, because at least in that world your actions make a difference. I believe that this will be integrated into the plot of the following chapters.

However, the Angel cannot survive in this new world. When Ralsei tells about the prophecy and the geysers of darkness, he also says that the geyser that stems from his castle is what gives him form. If the geysers are destroyed, as the prophecy fortells, I fear Ralsei will not survive the process.

And we all know there’s no ending in Undertale where Asriel gets out alive and himself.

We will have to sacrifice Asriel to win free will for the world. I’m personally not looking forward to that bit.

Undertale AU

正在嘗試撰寫有關Undertale的AU Behind Mask 面具的設定圖會陸陸續續補上……雖然可能只有面具(´-﹏-`；) 故事也會在之後補上的(*´ω｀*) 世界觀： 在Underground裡的怪物們都帶上面具來隱藏自己，真實的目的、情緒、過往等等，某天，Frisk墜落到了這個世界，發現戴著面具的怪物們，他會……？

=======(設定)==========

Frisk and Chara(歿)：皆帶著六瓣黃金花的眼罩，也都是由Flowey/Asriel所製作。

Flowey/Asriel：面具為黑色勾玉狀，上面繪有象徵皇室的圖騰。自製。

Toriel：半臉的面紗，紗的顏色是淡紫色，製作人似乎不是她……？

Sans：單眼罩，形似日本鬼魂頭上常帶的三角形頭帶倒過來，紙製。自己做的。

Papyrus：海盜一般的單眼罩，上面的圖騰跟胸前一樣。Sans做的。約會時有另外的眼罩(籃球圖案)

Undyen：單眼罩，遮住受傷的眼睛，上面的圖案會隨著狀況不同而更換(居家、廚藝課、約會)。自製。穿著盔甲時會多帶一個半臉鋼盔，由Asgore給予。

Alphys：帶著中世紀黑死病時期醫生所帶的烏鴉面具，自製。約會的時候會換上Undyen給的護目鏡。

Muffet：半臉的華麗面具，充滿寶石(假的)與羽毛(別的怪物身上拔的)，裝飾是自己來的，然而基底的製作人不詳。

Mettaton：在方盒型態並沒有面具，化為人形後，臉上帶著四分之一的蝴蝶面具，宣稱製作人Alphys，但幾乎所有人都認為是MTT自己做的。似乎還有其他面具，但沒有人知道長怎樣。

Asgore：帶著能遮住整個上半臉的鋼製面罩，上面繪有皇家圖騰，戴上它的時候是看不見任何事物的，製作人並不是他。

Gaster：擔任皇家護衛時期總是帶著口罩，然而在某個時期過後，到他被抹去存在前，他似乎是唯一沒有帶面具的怪物……？

Grillby：帶著眼鏡。這究竟算面具還是？似乎原本並不屬於他，但沒有人知道前一任主人是誰，只有鏡框上刻著的小小G字作為線索。

Napstablook：淚滴狀的四分之一面具，然而上面畫著笑著的眼睛，顏色還是粉紅色的……？

Shyren：半臉面具，像魚鱗一樣折射粉與藍色的光輝，沒有光時是綠色。

Amalgamates：並沒有面具(都融化在一起了)。

=========(拉線)============= 初期設定到此，之後就是設定圖跟正文啦，也許有人已經從設定裡猜出一些東西了……？(笑)
