Angel kintype mask WIP update! I painted and glued the eyes in, lined it, and covered it in minky and now I have the wing pattern done and pinned on! Next up I gotta sew the wings (wish me luck on that! I got six wings to sew so let’s hope my sewing machine holds steady through it all and I don’t accidentally embroider a piece wrong.) and make the wire armature for the wings.

So far the mask looks really good! I’m going to make the wings and then work on the face details more, like adding gold eyelashes/eyeliner, painted eyespots on the wings, and the halo. Since it looks so good so far, I think I’m eventually going to add a neck and hood to turn it into a full fursuit head! I’m very excited.

is there a word for a therian or otherkin who is something that hasn't been observed or described by anyone else?? like if i was just a totally new species, what kind of therian or kin would that be.

or would i name the new species myself and then just say i'm that lol

i saw a comment on tik tok asking about how to know if you really kin a creature that you're questioning (in the commenter's case, a dragon), and the reply suggested an approach that i've never really seen before but i love it.

sorry for lack of posts lately!! i've been in a weird place with my non-human identity lately. i definitely feel non-human but sometimes my dog feelings kind of come and go, idk if that's like being theriofluid or shifts or just finding myself out or what. i still feel a connection to dogs but lately it's less of an I Am A Dog thing and more like I Am Some Creature With Dog Vibes. or maybe some kind of like... mythical dog?

and having a lack of confidence in what my "true form" is, feeling like it's this really vague and niche collection of things associated with storms and space and dreams and nature, has made me feel weird. idk what to call myself these days???

I JUST SAW A THERIAN OUT IN PUBLIC?????

Okay so my school has this cafe nearby that during the school year I’d frequently go to study and work on stuff. I went for the first time during summer break today with my mom for a nice outing and while we were checking out I noticed that the barista (who was wearing short sleeves today instead of the average long sleeves) had a tattoo on his upper arm that was half covered up by his shirt. A tattoo of the theta delta, but I was thinking “heyyy maybe I’m wrong, but couldn’t hurt to ask” so when my mom walked off to sit her bag down I asked “Is that a theta delta?” And this dude’s face LIT UP. So my mom was walking back so I just hurriedly went “Me too me too! Wolfdog.” And he replied “Grizzly!”

So in short: the barista at the cafe I got o everyday is a grizzly bear. I love my life.
