For Yarn Audio’s seventh release, we have got hold of no one less than Kacper Bogacz aka. KASP, one half of the well-known Polish duo Pol_On. This graduate of the Academy of Jazz Music in Katowice has released on many well known imprints such as Systematic, Get Physical and Connaisseur and remixed artists like Roberto Rodriguez and Dirt Crew and worked with the likes of Mike P and Catz ’N Dogz. For his latest project, KASP creates a unique, joyful journey trough diverse styles of modern bass music. The five track EP brings new-age electronica like Gold Panda to mind as well as the bass-influenced house scene and early UK Funky. Polished samples, raving synths and hybrid beats are mangled, meandering between childish delight and deep melancholia, dancefloor mania and spurred insight. A true showcase of this producer’s exceptional versatility. Make sure to check Kacper’s recent dancefloor project with Mia Twin if this release pleases your ears!

Back in April 2012 Yarn Audio kicked off with the stripped-down “Locked“ EP by South African drum-machine lunatic, Zimbra Sound. A few months later we followed up with American producer Balloon Fight's experimental “Ham. No Mayo“ EP. Five exclusive mixes and two releases later, as per Yarn's label-mission, we proudly present the freshest remixes of our first two EPs. The first remix comes from upcoming British bass-producer Hutyluty, a recent addition on the underground label Loft Party. Hutyluty has re-worked Zimbra Sound’s “Sport For All“ into a percussive, airy bass-tool. Next comes fellow Brit Horner, who’s remix of Zimbra Sound’s “Locked“ takes down the tempo and intensity of the original and brings hypnotic sub-bass and deconstructed chords and vocals to the mix. Finally, American producer, multi-instrumentalist and Audio Esperanto-signing DJSur deals with Balloon Fight’s “Ham. No Mayo“. His spaced-out, house-infused version transforms Yarn’s weirdest EP to date into an intoxicating club smasher. And that's not all!! We hope to break the barrier between musician and listener, producer and consumer by releasing remix-stems of each EP so everyone can get involved at the click of a download icon. – check our Soundcloud for links! Lastly, there is a lot of banging Yarn-material getting polished for release right now so keep your eyes and ears open! We can’t wait to share the next Remix-EP with you

Shortly after its first birthday, bass music netlabel Yarn Audio reports back sonorously with laid-back Leftfield. Turning Torso’s Single bewitches with its warm, reverberant instrumentals and hypnotising downtempo-beats. The Mexican producer uses processed guitar, electronics and field-recordings to create his unique blend of hazy Bass Music. After three EPs with mostly Trap- and Juke-influenced tunes Yarn Audio is opening up with its fourth release, following its mission of bringing forward thinking electronic music from the whole modern Bass Music spectrum. Be it from the darkest experimental corners or sparkling nightclubs’ breaking new ground. Watch out for Yarn’s first remix EP and banging ASA 808 stuff getting released soon

Yarn Audio does it again! The 4th podcast is mixed by DJ and producer https://soundcloud.com/uk-garage-mokujin (Blaq Recordings, L2S Records), who presents his idea of “Phantom Rave”. UK-garage is the framework for his audible trip, but Mokujin also explores the past and future of experimental electronic music, delivering a unique and playful selection of underground tunes by him and his friends. The London-raised and Berlin-based Mokujin is in the game since 1988 and released on labels like Future Grooves and Blaq Records. Not only the development of Bass Music, also video games, street art and anime inspire the mysterious musician with the mask. Forget about the genre-hype, get your ears wide open and enjoy some real underground bangers! 01 - TMRW - Memories Of The Future 02 - Mokujin - I Can't Take It (You Can Bounce To It Version) 03 - Pledge -Alright 04 - Clueless - Binge and Purge 05 - Indra - Sweeter Than Honey 06 - IYVES - Luxury 07 - PromKnights - Sensation 08 - Mokujin - Confessions (London VIP) 09 - Forget Me Not - Kill Me (With Your Love) 10 - Metrist - Transport 11 - Arcane G - Dimensions 12 - Zaika - Stay With Me 13 - Mastra & Jon Donson - Out Of Knowhere 14 - Bambarra - Gime That 15 - Aztro - Black Rainbow 16 - DEVolution - My Friends 17 - Gorgon City - Thor 18 - Mokujin - What The? 19 - Mokujin - Ending

Yarn Audio strikes back with another fabulous mix. Guest of honour is Tommy Harrison, delivering a playful selection of cutting-edge bass music and genre-shaping classics. Influenced by the likes of Mark Pritchard, Mosca, Boddika, Hessle Audio, Joy O, Floating Points, Zed Bias, Roska, Julio Bashmore and Digital Soundboy....but also bumping J Dilla non-stop. To say Harrison is versatile is not only an understatement, but somehow insulting to him as a DJ. Not only is he journeying over various genres of music, his record selections and performances involve music that has depth, soul and hits you in all those places you want it to...just when you want it to!

„Adaption Disorder“, the third EP for the Berlin-based netlabel Yarn Audio, comes from Terrorrythmus following releases for Betonblume, Abulia Concepts und World Wide Juke. Banging 808-beats meet nasty rhythms. Experimental enthusiasm encounters dreamy pads and mangled vocals. An insider tip for fans of TNGHT, Flosstradamus, Murderbot and co. Who says fresh juke- and trap-sounds are coming exclusively from the UK or USA? The gentle chords and brutal beats of the opener „40h“ only need a few bars to transport you deep into the world of the „Adaption Discorder“. With its chirping hi-hats, exaggerated low-end and sharp melodies „From the Hood“ could easily become the next ghetto-anthem and even be played in the pimped BMWs of Berlin's petty criminals. Fortunately the third tune „Post Smack“ doesn't sound lose any of that energy at all: The smooth melodies of „40h“ come together with „From The Hood“'s energetic trap-sound. Terrorrythmus, a German producer and DJ from Bremen, has been involved in the bassmusic-scene for ten years, back when jungle and breakcore were hip. His party-series „Subunternehmen“ has been the first ever event to bring Dubstep into the Hanseatic city . By now the 26-year-old musician is crazy about footwork and trap but still hasn't forgotten his roots. He promotes his sound with his own imprint Latenz and the „DOOM“-parties. The latest EP from Yarn Audio fits perfectly into the trap- and juke-genre, which slowly but surely also gets German dancefloors to go nuts. The three tracks are full of wicked breaks and broken beats, a homage to the roughness of early jungle. You instantly hear that „Adaption Discorder“ is inspired by a decade of bassmusic. The EP's title reflects its programme: Terrorrythmus isn't chasing the hype but jumps easily between elements of various genres. A refreshingly personal interpretation of bassmusic. Who'd have thought that an „Adaption Discorder“ sounds so good!

First episode of our mix series by Sirmo aka. Andras Szirmai. He has been a permanent fixture of the PĂ©cs (Hungary)-underground massive since 1998. Starting off with his own show on Radio Publikum, (later to be known as G-FM), he became soon acquinted a taste of sub-genres new to him at the time, such as Hip-Hop, Funk, Afro, Broken Beats, Breaks, which all helped to form his own style. Sirmo loves his Breakbeat bangers, play’s deep and tippin’ House as well as Garage grooves...He organises parties in his hometown, and djing as well. He had gigs in PĂ©cs, Budapest, Novi Sad, Istanbul, Munchen, Wien, and many places...
