Get all this sweater curse negativity away from me. I'm about to start a cardigan for my bf. I looked at a suggested blog and the first post was about the sweater curse. Can we please post about times we made our S/Os something major and it not lead to doom? Pretty please?

Who wants to suggest a quick project that I can do until the yarn for my bf's CARDIGAN (read: NOT SWEATER- I'm not about to see if the sweater curse is real!) is here. I have lots of worsted yarn and hooks/needles in most sizes.

Does anyone here remember that fabric ruffle yarn? It was like sashay, but actually fabric, and working with it sucked a hell of a lot less.

Sorry to those who sent in a post and I just now posted it. I have no idea when you sent them in tbh. I forgot I had an inbox.

Hi! I’m a lover of all fiber arts, especially spinning. I started out with crochet and worked my way through knitting, spinning, a little weaving and some tatting, with the hopes of learning a lot more! I think bobbin lace is next, once I get the bobbins. I love roving and wool because I get to turn them into yarn and seeing what people make from the yarns I spin is one of my favorite things in the whole world. Knitting is still one of my favorite things to do though, especially when the weather starts cooling down.
I’m also a mom to an 8 year old girl, and married to my best friend. I love coffee, science, history (especially the history behind crafts), politics, and cats. My favorite things are usually old, vintage, tarnished, or dusty. I also have a little etsy shop where I sell my hand spun yarn and a few knitting patterns. Oh, and I love tumblr. It’s always open, so feel free to drop me a message!

Stash-off
Hi yarn pals. I thought i might share my stash swap experience with mysevenkids here. We decided to do a super-swap of yarn pets of all kinds. Originally there was a lot of umming and aahing and “i couldn’t possiblies” and other variations of indecision and unwillingness to seem greedy. In the end, we just stuffed yarn in boxes and sent them round the world. So we both got a fabulous surprise package full of things neither of us has ever had or tried and our fingers are itching. So don’t be afraid to just randomly swap or send yarn to a total stranger. Total inspiration!
