I disagree tho yashiro can be flawed at sometimes she is like an ordinary 14-16 y/o girl whos going through the boy crazy stage of adolescence thrown into the supernatural world harshly. Obviously she's gonna be beating hanako and not trusting him I mean who would? He makes decisions for her without talking to her and is quite controlling. I mean I sure as hell would be mad at someone for trying to trap me in a fake world and trying to erase my memories of the real world aswell as knocking me out and locking me up when their gaslighting doesn't work. That's exactly what hanako did to nene. In fact I think hanako deserved more that just nene yelling and hitting him because who the hell does that??? (I love hanako but he's just as flawed as anyone else in the show) also the fact he literally sacrificed her best friend and himself is so messed up. I can't imagine how traumatic that must have been for nene. Not only that but he literally didn't tell her anything about her life span so she can live without knowing of her inpending doom. In conclusion sure nene is flawed but you need to also recognize hanako just as flawed. I mean cmon my guy has his villain arc like every couple chapters. He's constantly coming off as controlling and weirdly possessive of nene, and making grave decisions for her without giving her authority over her right to know. Sure nene can come off as childish and selfish but hanako is just the exact same way. Both are underdeveloped stupid kids who are bound to make rash decisions and letting emotions cloud their visions. That's what gives the tbhk characters depth and not making them 1d characters. Giving characters flaws is important to not make them seem bland and flat. Tbhk shows how no love is perfect, and how messy love can get. I mean no relationship is perfect just as no person is perfect. Mistuba and kou seem to have a codependent relationship. Number 6 and sumire well... aoi and akane have a complicated relationship as seen in the recent chapters. Kou and teru have a relationship that has both its ups and downs, teru being jealous that kous weak and doesn't have to do what teru has to do and kou wishing teru could understand him. Hanako and nene having a cute but messy af relationship with both characters having their flaws. Tbh I love nene and the rest of the cast for being actual fleshed out characters that are not flat and have personality to them.

I thought about this post for a long time and decided to write it. Warning This post contains all my negative thoughts about Nene. So surprise not everyone loves her.

The post is written as if I was talking to her. I did it on purpose because it was easier for me to express myself.

Yashiro Nene promised to protect Hanako who she says always comes to her rescue, what a great attitude!

and she did it!

and also Yashiro admitted to being deceived and manipulated by Tsukasa and the fish who serve the mermaid. Wow great! She confessed because she herself knew she had been deceived and manipulated, wow what a wonderful person!

Yashiro admits guilt when she hurts herself, and when she hurts someone she won't admit it, and if she admits it, she won't apologize.

Well Yashiro is really poor, right? To her, Hanako treats her like a dog because he made her work instead of letting some guy take advantage of her when she knowingly wanted to. He's her boss now and she's his assistant, but I should feel sorry for her that Hanako is so mean to her.. Hmm.. yes to her he treats her like dog, it's her own interpretation of him not letting her go get taken advantage of by some guy. although in the later story he doesn't treat her like she said, and she imagines him as a wolf and a dog on a leash. hm… But if you think that's how it looked at the beginning, consider it a 1:1 miss hypocrite. Her topic of hypocrisy is very broad and I will come back to it later in the post, Hanako is to blame for all your suffering, isn't he? He should treat a princess like you better. How are you treating him? miss hypocrisy maybe it's time to tell how you treat him? Shall we?

and What a wonderful speech. He protects you and you want to protect him back and you admitted and apologized for being tricked and manipulated, but did you apologize to Amane for the other things you did to him? Let's see how you managed to make it to where you are now , shall we?

What happened Nene? Where did your "I'm rooting for you" go when you were talking to a smaller version of him?

Did you really think that by treating him this way you would discover that he was "fake", but he wasn't . When you understood what you did when he asked you "Do you really hate me?" you denied it immediately and when he asked "Do you like me?" you quickly confirmed. When you found out that the world you're in is painted and later figured out that he was pretending to be his own living version and admitted you were an abuser. Have you apologized to him? Of course not! It didn't cross your mind to apologize to Hanako, because Hanako didn't tell you anything, he didn't complain, and you didn't even think to apologize to him. He deserves an apology from you, but apparently a fish princess like you doesn't apologize! Then you already knew that he was beaten in life, and you added more suffering to him with your sick deeds. You made a mistake and admitted to yourself, but you never said "I'm sorry" to him, ever! You don't even seem sorry. You just did it and it was forgotten! But you don't stop. You're going on, aren't you, fish?

Like he dares to trap you in a painting and defy his own rules so you can live safely, but you got mad and started beating him. But you can, can't you? Let me remind you princess who doesn't apologize because she doesn't have to, that in this arc you became an abuser and you admitted it and he didn't react aggressively he asked resigned but you attacked him again at the end of the arc yelling at him because you are mad with him,you hit his stomach very hard, it hurt him and then you started to beat him several times with your fists insulting him - a boy who was beaten by an unknown perpetrator in the past and you know it!! And your answer is beating and aggression of a boy who was abused, you abuse him all the time and you don't see anything wrong with it, but you yell at him and make him feel guilty, and you didn't even feel guilty when you bullied him in the beginning.I see.

You didn't see the desperation in him just to save you, anything to keep you alive, so in your incredible stupidity, you made a wish to Hanako-san officially. Dear fish then you made a wish that you thought wouldn't come true, but he agreed.

Then you didn't say anything and you didn't mind. You literally glowed with happiness when he agreed despite your doubts.At this point, you have passed judgment on your best friend Aoi-san. You did it and no one else! Hanako decided to do this for you and because of your pathetic and stupid wish,and he is complicit, but it is YOUR fault and YOUR wish and the third reason is that he loves you, he knew with full knowledge that he would have to take the life of someone close to you so that you could live, which means another sin. He was ready to do it for you. But you don't see it, you don't see that look that looks at you full of love when it agrees, It took you to chapter 86 and barely… you didn't see the desperation in his actions before you could live. I don't know how your brain works, but your stupidity and ignorance is really great! It's almost unimaginable to repeat the same mistake again. You learned nothing from your first wish! You are incredibly ignorant. I've never met a stupid, ignorant character like you, the level of your lack of intelligence and ignorance is really high and be so blind to the signs that Hanako gives you that he loves you and you want a have a boyfriend so badly you're so blind you can't see it's in front of you. It's amazing how long you had to discover it and how hard you must have thought about it, that sacrificing Aoi - consenting to make a wish comes from love for you and desperation to save your life - It took you a really long time

and he did it pretending it was nothing to him(Chapter 84 showed otherwise)

Who cares what you really meant. Facts matter 1. Making an official wish to Hanako-san 2. He agreed 3. You were glowing with happiness 4. He did the work he promised you.

You are ignorant. You haven't learned anything from 1 wish! nothing! The age of 15 doesn't exempt from responsibility. You didn't have to make a wish, it wouldn't be a problem. It's not his fault that you're incredibly ignorant, and traits like "naive" or "lovey-dovey" aren't a defense. This just shows how ignorant you are and how much you haven't learned anything from chapter 1. You are incredibly ignorant. Your wish is the problem and that's the main problem. You're 15. You're a teenager, not a kid who's like 5. Personality traits don't absolve you of responsibility and you're to blame, but you like to blame Hanako almost all the time for your life's mistakes and don't apologize even if you admit it and you don't apologize,because he will confess for you, take all the blame and apologize for your decisions.

She didn't hit him in chapter 71, but did in chapter 86

You say "I really like you Hanako-Kun, I love you" and in chapter 2 you immediately said "We're friends but when you found out a bit about his past you were ready to reject him but Kou gave you a pathetic talk and it was fine but then you rejected Hanako as Yugi Amane when Hanako pretended to be a living version of himself.She also was conflicted, there was even a point where you said you wished you had looked into his memories. That's who you are. First you become obsessed with something, and then you back out when the situation is difficult for you.it seems that Kou helped her resolve the conflict, but in the p.p arc she plunged deeper

We are friends 2. Knowing the past and wishing hadn't seen the memory because you're a normal person 3. Accepting by Kou's help 4. Rejecting Amane and saying the boy she likes is not here for him as Amane saying she prefers Hanako 5. She said in red house she likes Amane again,wtf,girl decide!

What a fool you have to be to do and say something like that. Hanako is Amane, without Amane there is no Hanako. It will always be Amane no matter that he has a nickname right now and is a bit different as the supernatural is still the same person and you say things like that.

Even when you confessed your feelings 100% to him in chapter 86. I don't believe you because you haven't changed your mindset. You keep contradicting yourself

She wanted to bring him back to the real world, you couldn't have chosen anything other than to play with feelings? Can you do anything but think about boyfriends and romance? Is that all your brain can come up with?

In my opinion, she made it clear that she rejects Amane and only likes Hanako. Even if she wanted him to come back to the real world with her, what she said is just stupid in my eyes.Somehow she didn't mind that he'd killed someone before, but it bothered her later as much as she wished she'd known his past, which she so longed to know. Girl you're living out of contradiction with yourself or finally decide whether you accept all of him or just the spiritual part of him because you're really pathetic right now. But you keep doing it right? Just like Kou deduced that Tsukasa is fake,you belived him and later said to Tsukasa in the chapter 91 "Tsukasa-Kun" Make up your mind or just stop thinking because your "golden" thoughts are just so contradictory and you don't know what you have think. It's like you think and forget because it doesn't matter to you what you say. I really won't believe you love him because you can deny or back out as soon as the situation or something unpleasant happens.

You said to Amane that "You have to start thinking" Good luck with that, you've got a hard road ahead of you, maybe someday I'll change my mind, but for now there's no way, your words spoken from your mouth and thoughts aren't credible to me

"He doesn't trust me?" / "You never tell to aynone what's you thinking"

You are 100% ignorant and only think about your own well-being! Hanako doesn't want to tell you, it didn't occur to you that this is a trauma for him that he doesn't want to talk about. He doesn't like to talk about himself as can be seen in the Tsuchigomori's place. You and Kou made him succeed in his secret. When Hanako said you were tricked your thoughts were "should I destroy yorshiro or not"/ "It didn't seem she was lying"

More hypocrisy by Nene Yashiro. Yashiro-Nene-san showed in the beginning that she is hypocrite and at the very beginning it also shows that 1 wish did not teach her anything and her thoughts were already at odds with her.

Yashiro Nene-san, nicknamed "Daikon senpai" by Mitsuba, was insulted by her first crush, and she is constantly insulted by her fat ankles as shown in the attached pictures. If it was real confession then, you'd be force yourself even if you said words like "I can't leave him or he can be pretty cool sometimes" it's just that at that moment you were ready to force yourself to be in a relationship with Hanako - not your type, which you confirmed twice in Ch.8. So you wanted to do much worse than the guy who insulted you and made you traumatized. But you can suffer and judge guys at the same time, right?

You did something grosser than that in Chapter 8. Chapter 86 After heavy dumb thinking of you and understanding that Amane did it all for you out of love, suddenly after enlightenment you said "l'll just have take the lead" You did it in the most disgusting way. You imagined him as a dog on a leash and uttered such disgusting words and disgusting imagination. First a wolf, now as a dog with a leash you keep in your sick head. You are a disgusting and horrible girl, Yashiro.You keep humiliating him! I despise you with all my heart!(and it's not a comedy to me, it's disgusting humiliation in any way)

and at the very beginning it also shows that 1 wish did not teach her anything and her thoughts were already at odds with her and more.

and also you're brave and aggressive only towards him, right? You don't have the courage for others.

You met Hanako in chapter 1 the same way you met Mitsuba and when Hanako insulted you she had no problem getting back at him in later chapters too she jokes about your legs and you hit him and here Mitsuba makes fun of your legs and what do you do sit and hug your legs covering your ankles and With tears in your eyes, you deny his words, then say, "That's what's wrong with you." Why don't you hit him new friend? with Hanako you didn't have that problem and you still don't have what you keep proving. I see. It's only for Hanako.

Your two hands are free and you could slap him at any moment, but you prefer Hanako to save you from this situation. I understand that slaps are only for Hanako.

You are a really great girl Yashiro ooops. not for Hanako.

Mermaid knew what she was talking about.

Mermaid was right you are an imbecile, all I can say is that I agree with her. You're an imbecile with exceptionally high hypocrisy and ignorance, you're also an abuser with really high stupidity that I can't put into words. Your whole character is all about romance, guys. Even in the latest bonus manga, you admit that you like to sing songs that curse love. You look sweet and cute but inside you are toxic, rotten and broken.

I'll never get over the fucking tunnel of love scene, it's just the best fucking scene I love it so much

first of all, it follows the objectively amazing scene between Homura and Sayaka

the song "Dream World" begins to play as the Clara Dolls chant "fort, da, fort, da" in the background, the meaning of this I'm too lazy to explain, and if you don't know why the words "fort" and "da" are important to Rebellion, just look it up, there are better explanations than I can give. What's important is that these words relate to Homura and Madoka, the Clara Dolls are an extension of Homura, and thus Homura is presumably thinking about Madoka

as we see Sayaka's cape flying away from their confrontation, Homura begins a monologue

we see Clara Dolls dancing on a pink spool, representative of Madoka (if you don't know why, once again, I request that you look up "fort da Madoka") so once more an indication of where Homura's thoughts currently are

we see two swans, generally a symbol of love (fun fact, because of this one scene the moment I see swans I instantly think of Madoka Magica)

we see Homura standing on the front of of the boat, one of her familiars standing in the boat, not doing anything notable, I bring this up to come back to it later, also it's just a good shot

the world shifts as Homura moves through it, remember, this is essentially her dream, the things that appear are from Homura's mind

we see a paper Kyoko standing on an arch asking us if we're enjoying the movie (thank you for asking Kyoko :) Indeed I am)

a tunnel rises from the ocean

Kyoko says this, displaying essentially the ideal life for Kyoko, her relationship with Mami is never soured, and they're still friends, and they're just doing good stuff, none of the darkness that exists in reality

we see Homura's annoyed, perhaps somewhat conflicted even, face

we enter the tunnel, and it's clearly meant to be a tunnel of love, remember, the things in this world are created from her thoughts, there is a reason for a tunnel of love being here and it has to do with Homura's thoughts, EVERYTHING in this tunnel is from Homura's mind, it existing, everything in it, and where it leads, are from HER thoughts, keep that fact in mind

Mami just outright states that everything is ideal

beautiful shot, nothing else to say

Sayaka outright asks if this is so bad. She has a very goofy face because Homura is annoyed with her, I love this detail "YOU'RE TOO LATE SAYAKA I'VE ALREADY DEPICTED YOU AS THE SOYJACK!"

Homura accidentally criticizing herself, however, once again, EVERYTHING HERE IS HOMURA, this is an argument with herself, she's not disagreeing with paper Sayaka, paper Mami, and paper Kyoko, because they don't exist, they're HER, everything they say are HER thoughts, SHE thinks that this is the ideal world, deep down she wants to stay here, and she hates herself for it, viewing it as weakness.

we cut to Homura kneeling beneath goddess Madoka, Homura views Madoka as a goddess, not just in a descriptive sense, but a prescriptive one. In her eyes Madoka is a perfect being deserving of reverence, her love for Madoka is yes, romantic, but also has undeniably religious elements to it

Homura reaching up towards the statue of goddess Madoka as she talks about her sacrifice, it's just, VERY religious, she's over here like "Madoka died for your despair, accept her into your heart as your lord and savior" and it's like, Homura, this is a really unhealthy way to view your crush

this flashes on screen "who is dreaming?" the reason these runes pop on screen at this point is because it's important to this scene specifically, Homura is essentially denouncing whoever is guilty of being, for lack of a better word, a sinner, so these runes prompt the question of who the "sinner" is, and of course, it is Homura

we cut to a boat on fire

we see little paper cutouts of people drowning, presumably the people who should be being saved right now but aren't

Homura caresses Madoka's legs very heterosexually, I will come back to this later

the Clara Dolls throw tomatoes at the statue and Homura while saying "god is dead" in German, this most obviously signifies the blasphemy of the sinner who created this world (Homura) it's also a Nietzsche quote (Nietzsche and Rebellion is a whole nother conversation though)

it's also worth pointing out that the Clara Dolls's antagonism towards Homura is likely symbolic of bullying, which considering the way Moemura acts, is almost definitely something she went through

remember that everything here is from Homura's mind, that tunnel of love didn't even exist a moment ago, it was created by Homura's mind, that includes where it led, Homura's mind created a tunnel of love while thinking about Madoka that led her to Madoka

Madoka jumps down and lands on Homura, she doesn't emote much, but we know for a fact that this caused A LOT of emotions in her. Remember that familiar I pointed out that wasn't doing much? Well once again, everything in here is part of Homura, representing a part of her mind

as Madoka sits up, we see the familiar excitedly dancing with sparklers, because well, gay

as I said I wanted to come back to the statue's legs later, this is why. Where Homura touched it is marked in inky black. Her devotion to Madoka, her love for her, represented by the caressing of her legs, has only dirtied the statue. She views her love as a dirtying force. And for a lesbian that canonically went to Catholic school, views herself as a demon, and her crush as a pure perfect goddess, that certainly has implications, internalized homophobia is only one possible reading of this scene, but it's the one I choose to go with.
