Trying new things

Hello over there!

I wanted to share these drawings, which I really enjoyed making, since a long time ago I didn't enjoy what I do. I wanted to experiment with lights, shadows and colors that I don't normally use, putting a little of my style in the accessories.

In my previous posts I comment part of my life or my experience with certain things but I currently feel that I am calm, reorganizing my life and learning to appreciate it.

The witch

Hello! I wanted to share this illustration about this witch of the forest, it is a commission made for the cover of a book that in the end could not be carried out.

I really like medieval times, magic and fictional creatures, later I will continue practicing more about this.

My frustration

Hello over there! I share with you a practice focused on clothing.

Since my last publication I have been researching what I would like to do or focus on my illustrations, I was fascinated by the world of concept art and that is what I would like to dedicate myself to in the future... Because I don't currently feel able to do this. Maybe it's just my mind deceiving me by doubting my abilities.

Almost a year ago I decided to dedicate myself to illustration as a way of working, a situation that has not gone well. This is where my frustration begins, thinking that I am not "enough", so after a reflection and a few tears I made the decision to continue practicing and improve my skills by leaving my comfort zone; I hope at some point to become a great concept artist and live from this. I have a dream and now a goal that I will continue to try every day.

I don't share this with the desire to be a "victim" but to share a little of my thoughts and empathize with people who are in the same situation, I hope better days will come.
