I played both Portal games for the first time recently, and while the first game was clearly good, the second absolutely blew me away. Like how is that game so good??
There's a moment in Portal 1 where you're walking into Glados's room, and after an entire game spent inside test chambers and tight corridors you suddenly get a glimpse of the wider facility, in the form of a few giant structures hanging in fog above a void. And it's impactful because it's the first time in the game you realise just how alien this place is, and the developers save that reveal right until the very end.
Then in Portal 2, you have moments like that every five minutes if not more. Just these giant, beautiful structures, seemingly going off forever into the blue mist. Honestly, it blows my mind how gorgeous that game managed to be while still running smoothly on my potato of a laptop (reference unintended). So glad I finally gave it a go.
HAPPY 13TH BIRTHDAY, PORTAL 2!!
Here's to another wonderful decade and many more to come!! Happy Birthday! Portal 2

When I was younger, a boy came up to me and asked, "Are you a p*ssy?"
I didn't know what he meant at the time, so I responded, "No, but I have four at home."

The worst thing I've ever written is my final assignment for a screenwriting class. The professor successfully pushed me into writing the blandest mess of a "thriller" you could imagine. It was garbage, and when he called me to give feedback on it, his only point was. His only point was. His only point was asking me why I made a character Chinese, if I didn't have her do "kung fu" or use "herbal medicine". I pointed out she was a spy, and spies in our modern post-post-Cold War era basically have to be Chinese or Russian or American, and I'm pretty sure Chinese spies use guns instead of channeling the mystical kinetic energies of the chi, but he demanded I "use" the fact she was Chinese. Though someone staring at the hottest garbage ever written and only going "but why isn't this character white?" does seem like a realistic simulacrum of the film industry experience

True ouija boards are like turtles, a hard outer shell over soft inner guts. For those desiring a unique tattoo experience, one may couple a tattoo gun with the ouija's brainstem, bypassing the shell interface and inscribing messages from the beyond directly into the flesh.
